Mystic Eyes: My Eyes Steal the Laws of Cultivation Chapter 410: Sky Family (2)

While walking, Kyrian also noticed something else.
The average quality of the cultivators.
It was terrifying.
In Red Smoke City, where he had arrived less than a month ago, Core Formation experts were respected. They were elders. Group leaders. People others bowed to.
Here?
They seemed ordinary.
Kyrian crossed paths with several of them. Many. More than he could count.
They walked through the streets like anyone else, buying, talking, and laughing. As if they were normal people.
Those in the Spiritual Awakening Realm, the same level as the four leaders he had killed at the volcano, were also common.
Kyrian counted at least thirty within only a few hours of walking.
Thirty experts who, in any other small city of the Northern Region, would have been important figures.
Here, they were simply a few more faces in the crowd.
None of them even bothered hiding their energies. Their spiritual pressures were visible, almost flaunted.
Others walked accompanied by disciples, bright-eyed youths wearing robes adorned with symbols Kyrian did not recognize.
There were also even stronger experts.
People whose depths he could not fully measure.
Cultivators whose energies were so dense that they distorted the air around them, as though their own Qi was too heavy for the world itself.
It only reinforced reality.
He had entered another world.
...
The sun slowly began descending toward the horizon.
Painting the skies gold.
The city’s lights began to illuminate one after another, like stars.
First the streetlamps, small spiritual flames contained within crystal globes.
Then the luminous formations on the buildings, runes glowing in different colors, created patterns that danced across the walls.
Then the towers, each illuminated differently, some red, others blue, others green.
Kyrian stopped near an elevated avenue.
From there, on an observation platform accessible by a stone staircase, he could see a large portion of the city.
The streets wound between the buildings. The plazas were full of people. The markets were still bustling. The towers rose toward the heavens.
And beyond them...
The back of the colossal creature.
Forests, vast stretches of dark green where ancient trees swayed in the wind.
Mountains, snow-covered peaks so tall they seemed to touch the clouds.
Rivers, silver ribbons descending from the mountains, winding through the forests before disappearing somewhere in the distance.
Everything was illuminated by the light of dusk, golden, warm, and breathtakingly beautiful.
The beast continued flying.
Kyrian had discovered, after overhearing rumors earlier, that the Caravan was heading toward the Mountains of the End, the same mountain range he had crossed when he left the mortal nations for the true Northern Territory.
Slowly.
As it had for thousands of years.
Kyrian observed the scene in silence.
The Sky Caravan.
The Sky Family.
A First-Level force.
Goods from all five regions.
Powerful experts.
All of it was far greater than he had imagined when he left Red Smoke City.
And it had happened so quickly.
Only sixteen days ago, he had been fighting four Spiritual Awakening leaders.
Now he was here.
In a city wandering through the skies.
Governed by a family that had existed for tens of thousands of years.
Surrounded by cultivators whose strength he could barely comprehend.
But Kyrian was satisfied.
’This is where I should be if I want resources quickly,’ he thought.
’Not in Red Smoke City.’
’Not in the Blood Court.’
’Not in the Verdant Sword Sect.’
’Here.’
He decided he would stay for a while.
There were many things to explore.
And many things to learn in this city.
Even if the Caravan was traveling back along the route Kyrian had already taken, returning toward the Mountains of the End instead of heading toward the Central Territory, that was fine.
Kyrian wanted to see a First-Level force up close.
He wanted to understand what it meant to stand at the top.
He wanted to learn.
’And when I’m ready,’ he thought.
’I’ll continue my journey.’
’South.’
’To the Central Territory.’
’To where all the strong eventually go.’
He remained on the platform for several more minutes.
Simply observing.
The sky is darkening. The stars appearing. The city shining.
And the colossal beast continues its eternal journey.
...
Kyrian remained on the platform for several more minutes, observing the illuminated city.
The streets remained busy even after sunset. Spiritual lanterns glowed everywhere, their light reflecting from windows, rooftops, and stone pathways. From where he stood, he could see much of the Sky Caravan, the towering structures, the still-active markets, and, in the distance, the immense tower of the Sky Family dominating the horizon like a golden mountain.
Throughout the entire day, he had explored only a small portion of the city.
There were still countless markets to visit, entire districts he had not seen, auction houses, libraries, cultivation halls, and countless other structures scattered throughout the city.
In addition, he wanted to learn more about the Sky Caravan itself.
About the colossal creature.
About the Sky Family.
About the First-Level force that governed this place.
But there was no need to do everything in a single day.
The city would not disappear overnight.
Kyrian let out a small sigh.
He was tired.
After more than two weeks of nonstop travel atop Arcon, his body was finally feeling the weight of the journey.
Kyrian had left Arcon with the city’s beast keepers, paying a few extra spirit stones to have the beast cared for.
’I can continue tomorrow.’
With that in mind, he left the platform and began walking through the streets.
It did not take long for him to find a suitable inn.
It was not as luxurious as the grand buildings near the central tower, but it was still far above the common inns he knew from the Northern Region.
After paying for a room for several days, he received a jade key and was guided inside.
Before heading upstairs, he decided to have dinner.
The inn’s main hall was quite lively, filled with cultivators, merchants, and travelers.
Kyrian chose an empty table and ordered several dishes.
The food arrived quickly.
Most of the ingredients were unfamiliar to him.
Meats from spiritual beasts he had never seen before, exotic vegetables, and fruits used as seasonings.
Even so, everything tasted excellent.
After so many days of eating mainly while traveling, the hot meal was incredibly satisfying.
Kyrian ate without haste, enjoying each dish while discreetly observing the movement around him.
When he finished, he felt satisfied.
Then he stood and finally headed up to his room.
The place was spacious, clean, and comfortable.
Far better than sleeping outdoors.
Kyrian closed the door, removed his outer robe, and sat on the bed for a few moments.
His mind still lingered on the Sky Caravan.
On the Sky Family.
On everything he had seen that day.
But he soon pushed those thoughts aside.
He would have plenty of time to explore all of that later.
For now, he needed rest.
He lay down, closed his eyes, and only a few minutes later, fell into a deep sleep.
