My Wife Is A Ghost Exorciser Chapter 2 She Won’t Make The Same Mistake Twice!

Previously on My Wife Is A Ghost Exorciser...
In a long-hidden room of a haunted temple, Song Yan, a ghost for five hundred years, reflects on her past and her tumultuous relationships with various masters, notably her kind-hearted current master, Gu Yijjn. As Gu Yijjn approaches her end, she expresses her desire for Song Yan to finally find the opportunity she has been waiting for. In a chaotic climax, Gu Yijjn’s last act of sacrifice engulfs the temple, leading to Song Yan awakening in a new physical form, ready to confront her past, starting with a defiant response to her intrusive sister-in-law, Fu Rong. Realizing the value of life, she vows to avoid past mistakes and seize her second chance.

Song Yan was a timid woman whose marriage to Fu Yusheng was a stroke of luck rather than a result of mutual affection. Their union was preordained by their mothers, who were inseparable friends and had arranged the engagement before either child was even born. Despite lacking the brilliance and talent of her husband—who had ascended to the position of CEO of the Fu Corporation by the age of twenty-six—this prenatal agreement was the sole reason Song Yan managed to secure a man like him.

During the lives of her mother-in-law and father-in-law, the Fu family treated her with a degree of decency. However, following their tragic deaths in a car accident, her standing within the household plummeted. Driven by Song Lan’s manipulation, her spiteful sister-in-law, Fu Rong, eventually forced a pregnant Song Yan out of Fu Yusheng’s bedroom and relegated her to living in the storeroom.

As her grandfather-in-law had lived away from the Fu mansion for many years, he remained ignorant of these developments, while the rest of the family simply could not be bothered to intervene.

A mocking smile touched Song Yan’s lips as she reflected on her own past foolishness. It was pathetic to think she had endured such relentless bullying in silence until she eventually spiraled into postnatal depression.

"Sister, how can you act this way?" Song Lan asked, her voice trembling with panic at Song Yan’s uncharacteristic coldness. Never having seen Song Yan behave like this, she rushed forward to grab her hand, offering a gentle rebuke. "Sister Rong is only acting out of concern. After all, throwing yourself in front of a moving vehicle is quite extreme. Don't you think you've gone too far?"

Song Yan stared into Song Lan’s earnest face while her heart seethed with intense hatred. Through her Yin and Yang eyes, she could clearly see the shimmering golden aura enveloping Song Lan. Her fury nearly reached a breaking point—that luck should have been hers, yet Song Lan and her mother had stolen it! Unlike her previous life, however, she suppressed her rage and forced herself to remain calm. Now was not the moment to provoke suspicion; she could not let Song Lan realize she was aware of the theft of her destiny.

As Song Yan composed herself, Fu Rong—who followed Song Lan’s lead like a mindless chick following a hen—erupted in a fit of temper. "Who is worried about her? She’s nothing but a jinx! If you want to die, just go commit suicide quietly. Why must you bring trouble to me and my third brother?"

"Fu Rong, don't think you can spout nonsense just because you have a mouth... and don't assume everyone is as brainless as you are," Song Yan retorted icily. She turned her sharp gaze toward the other woman. "And Song Lan, what is this talk about me jumping in front of a car? How are you so certain of that? Does me jumping become a fact just because you claim it happened? What exactly is your motive for trying to hide the fact that this was a genuine accident?" Song Yan gritted her teeth, desperate to reclaim her golden luck. To do so, however, she first had to locate where Song Lan had buried the array; without finding that spot, she would be unable to shatter the formation and take back what was hers.

Song Yan’s pitch-black eyes, as steady and piercing as the stars, glared at Song Lan as if she intended to consume her whole. Song Lan’s heart faltered, and she instinctively backed away. Only the previous night, she and her mother had successfully siphoned Song Yan’s luck, which was why Song Lan wanted her dead. She had orchestrated the accident to eliminate Song Yan and clear her own path to marrying Fu Yusheng.

She never expected Song Yan to survive, let alone return with such blatant suspicion!

"You! Why are you making trouble for Sister Lan?" Fu Rong shouted, her eyes blazing with anger as she saw Song Yan glaring at her favorite person. "If you're so capable, then why don't you just divorce my brother? Why do you keep clinging to him—"

"Fine."

"You—what did you just say?" Fu Rong, who had been prepared for a long argument, was left stunned by Song Yan’s sudden interruption.

"I said fine. I will divorce Fu Yusheng. However—I demand full custody of my son."
