My Talent's Name Is Generator Chapter 959 Seum
Previously on My Talent's Name Is Generator...
I didn't linger in that place any longer than necessary, turning back towards the dense forest and commencing my run towards my own sanctuary.
The journey back seemed to pass quicker this time.
My body felt lighter, more agile, each stride imbued with greater power than before. In mere minutes, the familiar golden radiance of my safe zone materialized in my vision, standing in stark contrast to the sombre hues of the surrounding woods. I crossed the boundary without any hesitation, the subtle resistance recognizing my presence instantly and granting me passage.
The very moment I stepped inside, a notification materialized.
[Safe Zone Upgrade Available]
[Would you like to upgrade your Safe Zone using the acquired core of the believer safe zone?]
I did not pause to consider.
"Yes."
My affirmation triggered an immediate response.
The very ground beneath me began to quake, a tremor that radiated outwards from the core of the zone. The same energy I had witnessed earlier was now in motion again, but on a significantly grander scale. The boundary of the protective dome visibly expanded, its golden shimmer pushing outwards, extending far beyond its former limits as it assimilated the territory I had recently claimed. The space around me broadened as the safe zone underwent its transformation.
New structures began to take shape.
A short distance from the central fountain, the earth rose slightly in three distinct locations. From each elevated point, a hut began to form, mirroring the design of the original structure but now spaced apart. Their placement was intentional, forming a loose perimeter within the newly expanded zone. The construction proceeded at an astonishing pace.
I advanced, moving towards the nearest hut. Pushing the door open, I stepped across the threshold and paused.
At the center of the room, etched into the very floor, was a circle adorned with intricate patterns that pulsed with a soft, ethereal glow.
A teleportation circle.
I drew nearer, examining it for a moment before stepping back outside and proceeding towards the second hut. This one offered a simpler interior – containing only a bed and ample space for storage.
The third hut was identical in its furnishings.
I offered a slight nod.
Fresh notifications materialized before my eyes.
[Territory Integrated]
[You have acquired associated treasures]
[Bone Sap Trees Acquired]
→ Resource nodes transferred to Safe Zone
→ Sap production will resume over time
[Emerald Pool Acquired]
→ Restorative resource integrated
→ Recharge cycle initiated
My gaze drifted towards the edge of the zone, where the forest now extended further into the distance. I understood that somewhere within this enlarged territory, those crucial resources now lay under my dominion.
"They regenerate…" I murmured, grasping the profound implications immediately.
A consistent source of sustenance for the growth of those who would reside within my sanctuary.
I accessed the system panel and reviewed my current points.
Combat Points (CP): 1010 Influence Points (IP): 1260
A smile touched my lips.
"Finally…" I whispered, and without a moment's delay, I selected the option I had been purposefully withholding.
The instant I confirmed my choice—
[Communication System Acquired]
[Please check the interface]
A new panel emerged before me, distinct from any I had encountered previously. The interface dynamically rearranged itself, settling into a sleek design segmented into various sections.
At its heart lay a list.
Contacts.
Names began to populate the list one after another, each entry accompanied by essential details – their name, designation, and cultivation level – arranged in a vertical column that extended beyond my immediate field of vision. Some were clearly marked as Believers, others as Defiers, and a select few bore names I recognized from the Deathboard.
Aldric Voss — Believer — Level 18
Viktor Voss — Believer — Level 17
Kael Heavens — Defier — Level 16
Marcus Thorne — Believer — Level 15
Lucien — Believer — Level 14
On the left side of the panel, smaller tabs appeared, each distinctly labeled.
Contacts || Recent || Requests || Broadcast
I briefly shifted my attention, re-selecting Contacts as the primary window refreshed slightly, emphasizing the list with greater clarity. Each name was selectable, and as my cursor hovered over one, additional options emerged beside it – Message, Call, View Status – simple yet entirely sufficient.
To the right, a blank panel awaited.
Message window.
It remained empty for the moment, a space designated for dialogue, with a faint input bar pulsing gently at the bottom, anticipating a command. Above this bar, a small indicator displayed the connection status as stable and active – suggesting an absence of range limitations, precisely as the system had guaranteed.
At the very top of the interface, a subtle line drew my gaze.
[Global Communication Active]
"No range…" I commented softly, absorbing this information.
My eyes returned to the contact list.
Knight and Lyrate.
Both names were present.
I immediately dispatched requests to both individuals, my focus flickering between their names in the contact directory, but no immediate action followed. There was no response. The system remained silent for a beat before the reason for the lack of activity became apparent.
They hadn't unlocked this feature yet.
"Figures…" I muttered under my breath, closing the panel and allowing it to recede from view.
There was no point in waiting.
My attention returned to the map, which I enlarged, surveying the terrain ahead. Two additional zones, marked in red and of a similar size to the one previously secured, appeared in a straight line from my present location. Beyond these, however, a significantly larger red mark beckoned.
This was Seum, a city clearly indicated on the map.
Its red highlight stood out, the scale far exceeding any safe zone previously encountered.
"So, that is my next objective…"
Yet, something felt amiss.
"System, when does the tutorial conclude?" I inquired, resuming my movement.
[2 more days.]
A slight frown creased my brow as I maintained my pace, accelerating into a steady sprint.
"Then what about the cities currently present? Who resides within them?"
[External factions that have pledged support to Goldius.]
"External factions…" I echoed. "So, either extraterrestrials or individuals like myself, drawn into this world."
[Confirmed.]
A chuckle escaped me.
"Excellent… that certainly spices things up."
I did not falter in my stride.
The first of the two marked zones soon came within range. This time, unlike previous encounters, there was no need for luring or initial probing. The inhabitants differed – Hobgoblins.
Their numbers were adequate, and their coordination superior to the orcs I had previously faced, but the outcome remained unchanged. The engagement was swift and direct, the vibrant yellow glow of my strikes illuminating the battlefield as I cleaved through them sequentially, denying them any opportunity to adapt. Their cores succumbed shortly thereafter, followed by the zone itself.
Without pause or any intention to return to my secured zone for upgrades, I pressed onward. The forest gradually receded, parting as I adhered to the map's indicated direction. The second red zone came into view, and I decelerated slightly as I neared its periphery. The faint shimmer of its boundary grew visible once more, but before I could advance further, movement arose from within.
To my surprise, they were humans.
Twelve in total.
Each was clad in flowing white robes that shifted gracefully with their movements. Across their chests, meticulously embroidered in dark thread, was the emblem of two crossed swords. Every individual bore a greatsword, the formidable weapons held with apparent ease.
My gaze swept over them once before fixing upon the figure at the forefront.
A man of middle age.
"You need not proceed further down this path," he stated, his voice resonant and carrying effortlessly across the distance. "We perceive your nature. A Defier."
I remained silent.
"There is still time to retract that decision," he continued, his hand resting lightly on the pommel of the greatsword at his side. "You fail to grasp the implications of your course. This world… is not something you can oppose. Above all else in this realm sits a god."
The others stood silently behind him.
"Join us," he proposed after a brief interlude. "Abandon that path, and this war will not be yours to fight."
I listened intently until he concluded.
Then, I exhaled softly.
"No."
That was my sole response. The atmosphere shifted instantly. The composure on his face vanished. The barrier became irrelevant.
The ensuing battle was brief. Their teamwork was commendable, their actions honed through practice, yet it was insufficient to counter the tempo I dictated. The yellow luminescence flared with each of my attacks. I surged through their formation, shattering its integrity before they could regroup, forcing them into isolated skirmishes that concluded rapidly. One by one, they were defeated.
Ultimately, the middle-aged man stood alone for but a fleeting moment before he too fell, his greatsword clattering to the ground as the combat reached its inevitable end.
I stood there momentarily, observing the fallen blade before lowering my gaze to the axe in my hand.
Discarding it without hesitation, I retrieved a greatsword for myself. Drawing myself up slowly, the weapon now resting against my shoulder, I turned away from the zone without a backward glance.
The zone fell. Once again, I claimed the core, its essence flowing into my being as the system notifications followed.
Having secured both zones, I noted my gains.
[Influence Points +1300]
[Combat Points +900]
I continued my advance.
The forest gradually thinned as I moved forward, the canopy receding until the landscape opened, affording a clearer vista ahead. My pace eased slightly as I approached the tree line's edge, my footsteps halting as I positioned myself behind a substantial trunk to observe.
Seum.
The city stretched across the horizon. It appeared as a modest settlement, a small city.
