The protagonist gives Vivi a Soul Orb, granting her a soul and the ability to feel emotions. After a brief moment of celebration and teasing, the group prepares for their next mission. As they arrive at the Crimson Zone, they are met by an unexpected and familiar face: Amun, who has apparently been waiting for them.

"Amun… you're here," I stated, my focus zeroing in on him as I tried to fathom his presence in such a locale.

"Yes, Billion," he responded with a relaxed grin, his hands gesturing outward as if making an offering. "As real as it gets. You aren't pleased to see me?"

I inclined my head slightly. "I would venture to call my feelings… neutral."

"Neutral suffices perfectly for me," he remarked with an unconcerned, light shrug, his attention then drifting past my person. His gaze swept over my summoned beings sequentially, pausing just long enough on each to register their existence. "You've assembled a rather impressive retinue, haven't you? It appears your galaxy has swiftly become inadequate for your collective presence. So, enlighten me… when do you intend to journey towards the Prime Galaxy?"

"Once our exploration of this… captivating Crimson Zone concludes," I answered placidly. "Following that, we shall ascend to the higher echelons."

"Hmm," he vocalized, a slight nod accompanying his sound, as if anticipating precisely that declaration. "A logical progression… however, if I were to offer counsel, I would strongly advise against venturing into the Crimson Zone."

His nonchalant tone stood in stark contrast to the gravity of his assertion.

"You," he elaborated, his eyes now fixed directly upon mine, "lack the sufficient strength to confront what lies within. Should you attempt entry, there exists a substantial probability that your return will be permanently barred. And even if, by some improbable means, you manage to resurface…" a brief pause ensued, the subtle smile gracing his features failing to fully engage his eyes, "…it will not be in the immediate future. Contemplate centuries, not mere days."

My eyes narrowed almost imperceptibly at his words. Around me, I sensed a palpable shift.

My summoned allies subtly adjusted their postures, their focus sharpening, their very auras intensifying in response to his pronouncement.

"What precisely resides within?" Lyrate inquired, her voice direct, piercing the moment without the slightest hesitation.

Amun redirected his gaze toward her, and mirroring his earlier demeanor, that same easy expression returned, accompanied by a playful wink. "As I conveyed, esteemed beauty, it would be most prudent for you to abstain from entering."

"You are not in a position to make such determinations for us," she retorted, her tone growing colder as her aura emanated a faint surge.

Amun immediately raised both hands, stepping back a half-pace in a gesture of mock capitulation. "Very well, very well… there is no necessity for agitation. I am merely expressing concern for your well-being. Your welfare is paramount in my considerations."

"How droll," Ragnar commented beneath his breath, though he remained stationary.

I released a soft exhalation.

"Amun," I addressed him, shifting slightly forward to reclaim his attention, "what is transpiring here?"

I maintained eye contact.

"Let us dispense with pleasantries. Be forthright with me. Do you genuinely believe we are incapable of confronting the entity within?"

For the first time since our exchange began, Amun's expression underwent a transformation.

The casual demeanor, the lighthearted amusement, the subtle vein of mockery that perpetually laced his speech… all of it receded, supplanted by an aura of profound seriousness. He regarded me with genuine attention now, not as an interlocutor in a casual chat, but as an individual contemplating a significant judgment.

"Very well, then," he stated deliberately, "permit me to pose this question… does your objective involve entering and confronting the origin point of the Crimson Zone?"

I did not waver.

"Undoubtedly."

The affirmation had barely been uttered when he brought his hands together in a single, sharp clap.

"Excellent," he affirmed, nodding once. "Ambition is a commendable trait."

Then, his gaze acquired a subtle hardness.

"However, in such a scenario," he continued, his tone entirely devoid of levity, "your failure to emerge will be absolute; you shall perish."

"Indeed," he added, moving a step closer, "allow me to simplify the gravity of the situation. Should I enter with the explicit intent of confronting the source…"

He paused, allowing the full implication of his declaration to resonate.

"…I too, would face demise."

His voice carried no hint of embellishment.

"Insufficient strength," he murmured, almost as an aside, before refocusing his attention on me. "My own capabilities are inadequate to contend with the forces present within."

He released a quiet breath, then resumed, his voice lowering fractionally.

"Does this provide greater clarity?"

For a fleeting instant, silence permeated the space between us.

Then, he pressed onward.

"Nay… allow me to articulate with even greater directness," he proposed, his eyes locking intently with mine. "Even the formidable Theras would find himself incapable of prevailing against it."

"And should that revelation not suffice," he continued, his voice now adopting a tone of quiet detachment, "then let us frame it thusly… even if one were to amalgamate the Prime Universe and the Eternal Universe…"

He paused for a microsecond.

"…it would still prove inadequate."

This time, the ensuing silence bore a weight considerably greater than before. I exhaled slowly, raising a hand to gently rub my forehead as I absorbed the full impact of his pronouncements, before finally speaking my thoughts aloud.

"System… is he telling the truth?" I asked.

[Affirmative.]

Amun let out a dramatic sigh, clutching his chest with a theatrical gesture. "Heavens… you don't place your trust in me? You prefer the System over your own friend? My feelings are so terribly wounded."

His lighthearted demeanor returned as swiftly as it had vanished, as if the gravity of the earlier moment had never occurred. Yet, the System's confirmation had served its purpose.

I lowered my hand, my gaze now meeting his directly, no longer dismissing his words as mere theatrics or exaggeration.

"Amun," I stated, my voice even, "I doubt you've come solely to warn me away."

I advanced a single step.

"So, enlighten me… why are you truly here?"

A slow chuckle rumbled from him, his expression morphing into one of distinct satisfaction, as though this was the precise moment he had been anticipating.

"Quite astute of you, sir," he replied with a subtle inclination of his head. "Indeed, I arrive bearing an offer."

He allowed a brief silence to punctuate his statement.

"And should you accept… it will be a triumph for all involved."

I remained still, a flicker of amusement playing across my features.

"Allow me to venture a guess," I proposed, crossing my arms loosely. "This arrangement, by any chance, requires my entry into the Crimson Zone?"

He confirmed with an immediate nod.

"Naturally."

A sharp scoff emanated from Steve, positioned behind me. "Seriously? You just spent the past five minutes detailing the suicidal nature of that endeavor, and now you expect us to march directly into it?"

Amun appeared entirely unperturbed by the outburst.

"I was merely establishing the context," he responded with practiced ease. "Every word I spoke remains valid."

He drew nearer, his eyes briefly scanning each of us before settling back on me.

"However," he added, his tone softening fractionally, "I possess knowledge that eludes you."

"I have ventured within its confines before," he elaborated. "And I emerged unscathed."

He extended his arms expansively, adopting a posture as if addressing a crowd rather than the small group assembled before him.

"Now," he declared, his tone shifting once more, "before you inundate me with queries, permit me to impart some crucial details regarding the Crimson Zone."
