My Talent's Name Is Generator Chapter 858 So Much To Tell

"Vivi, can you answer me one question?" I queried.
"Of course," she responded.
"Between the two of us, who truly holds dominion over Vaythos?"
Vivi hesitated for a heartbeat. Soft violet essence rippled across her plumage as she tilted her head, her curiosity plain to see.
"But I am Vaythos," she replied with simple grace.
A smile touched my lips at her declaration.
Through the Sovereign Link, I sensed our bond clearly. My essence hummed in harmony with hers, and by extension, the world itself stirred in recognition of me. The connection that granted my authority over the world core remained intact, though it now manifested in the petite form of a phoenix.
This meant that as long as I controlled Vivi, I held dominion over Vaythos.
"Very well, Vivi," I eventually said. "I must visit my grandmother and attend to a few lingering matters. Once that is settled, I shall return. Then, we will seek out more world cores for your consumption."
Her wings flared in a display of excitement.
"Truly?"
"Indeed."
I gestured toward the basin filled with shimmering essence.
"Until then, enjoy the pool."
Vivi wasted no time. With a single beat of her wings, she dove into the violet depths, her splash echoing with joy.
"Return swiftly!" her voice rang out from within the glowing liquid. "I shall be watching over you!"
I let out a soft chuckle.
Taking a step, I tore through the veil of reality.
Space buckled, and in an instant, I materialized high above the capital.
The sprawling city of Astra lay beneath me, appearing far grander than in my memories. Modern districts had spilled out beyond the ancient walls, and the pulse of human life felt more vigorous than ever. Despite our sudden arrival, the city remained tranquil; no alarms were raised, and no panic rippled through the streets.
It seemed entirely unnoticed. I cast a glance toward the distant forest plateau, suspecting this was Vivi's influence.
However, I did not linger.
With another deliberate step, space folded again. The capital vanished, and I reappeared hovering over Cairo, my hometown.
The familiar streets stretched out below, and old memories flooded back at once. Unlike the capital, this city remained largely unchanged—quiet, stable, and possessing a comfort rare to find in such vast metropolises.
I descended with measured grace.
Moments later, my feet touched the soil directly before my residence. I stood still for a brief moment. The house remained exactly as I recalled.
The timber gate. The humble garden. Even the stones of the walkway leading to the entrance seemed untouched by the passage of time. Though the world moved forward, this sanctuary had stayed frozen in place.
Closing my eyes, I extended my perception and sensed a familiar presence lingering inside.
My grandmother.
I blinked in genuine surprise.
She was home. Usually, at this hour, she would have been occupied with her work. Taking a steadying breath, I walked up and pressed the doorbell.
The chime rang softly within the walls. I heard approaching footsteps; a moment later, the door swung open.
My grandmother emerged, a book clutched in her hand.
She looked up.
For a long interval, she simply stared, shock washing over her features.
Her voice came out as a tremulous whisper.
"...Billion?"
I offered a gentle smile.
"Yes, it is I."
Without a word, she lunged forward. Before I could even speak, she wrapped her arms around me in a crushing embrace.
She held me there, arms winding tightly around my frame as if fearing I might vanish into thin air should she let go. I felt her hands trembling against my back.
"You finally returned..." she breathed.
Her voice held a tone of disbelief. I reached out to return the embrace, placing a supportive arm around her shoulders.
"I have," I murmured. "I have returned home."
