My Talent's Name Is Generator Chapter 834 Dead Star
Previously on My Talent's Name Is Generator...
In a single stride, I traversed the plaza instantly, arriving right in front of General Kharzun.
The demon general remained stationary. Faint crimson glows traced the lines etched into his armor as he peered down at me, followed by his profound laughter echoing through the clearing.
"Hahaha. Your reputation is echoing across vast distances, Mr. Billion," he declared, his tone thundering with delight. "I was eager to encounter you, and fate has surprisingly united us in this manner."
I offered a faint smile and dipped my head.
"It's pleasant to meet you once more, General."
His eyes examined me briefly, evidently assessing the evolution in my aura from our previous encounter. Interest sharpened in his gaze, even as the grin persisted on his features.
My focus drifted marginally to the individual positioned next to him.
"Commander Saleos."
Saleos advanced a short step. A gleam akin to thrill shone in his eyes.
"Mr. Billion," he responded with a courteous bow of his head. "You've become even more powerful once again."
I let out a quiet chuckle.
"Epic conflicts demand immense power, Commander."
Saleos agreed with a swift nod.
"Indeed they do."
In the background, Primus observed the interaction with arms crossed, as the trio of other demon transcendents lingered quietly. The gathered forces around us had completed their formations, with countless thousands of soldiers arrayed in orderly quiet.
At last, I directed my sight to the key figure behind this entire assembly.
"Lyrate," I stated evenly. "Care to clarify?"
She drifted ahead a bit, the edge of her scarlet gown swaying softly in the breeze as she advanced. Her smile stayed radiant, and the evident satisfaction in her look was clear when she surveyed the enormous assembly of troops overwhelming the city.
"You requested personnel," she remarked breezily. "Thus, I delivered them."
Her gaze twinkled.
"Furthermore," she added, waving casually at the legions encircling us, "Primus showed great zeal upon learning of the plan."
Primus gave a soft snort yet offered no rebuttal.
"As soon as she brought up the seventy-two objectives," he explained, "I concluded it would be regrettable to sit out."
Kharzun erupted in yet another resonant guffaw.
"The Demon Monarch's forces seldom get summoned to such thrilling campaigns," he noted. "Upon hearing of this chance from Commander Saleos, I deemed it unwise to overlook it."
Saleos tilted his head modestly in my direction.
"Moreover, as news circulated within our hierarchy, enlistees surged in numbers."
I scanned the plaza once more.
Ten thousand demons formed precise lines. Further out lay the tiger-tribe Ferans and the insectoid fighters, their arrays extending over the emptied urban areas like preparations for a worldwide clash.
"Alright," I uttered deliberately, "I grasped how the demon troops assembled after spotting you, General, yet I'm keener on understanding the arrival of the Ferans and—"
I pointed subtly at the insectoid formations sprawling over the plaza.
"—those ones here."
Lyrate acknowledged with a nod, as though anticipating the inquiry.
"Anyway, an notion struck me," she mentioned offhandedly. "I figured it could prove useful to persuade Kael Sharka, the Sharka tribe's general from Feradros. Currently, Feradros faces turmoil since a particular individual eliminated their elite units."
General Kharzun and Commander Saleos simultaneously turned their eyes toward me.
Not a syllable escaped either of them.
I acted oblivious.
"During my discussion with him," Lyrate went on, "he hesitated initially, which makes sense given the circumstances. However, following our short exchange, he consented to lend aid. Every one of these tiger-tribe experts present hails from the Sharka clan."
She wrapped up her words as casually as if she'd merely scheduled a minor rendezvous, not rallied five thousand Feran fighters from across the stars.
For an instant, I regarded her, pondering precisely what methods she'd employed to "persuade" a Feran battle leader.
Ultimately, I chose to forgo the question.
"Excellent effort, Lyrate," I commended with a steady inclination of my head. "That's a wise decision."
"You're welcome," she shot back right away, resting a hand gently against her bosom. "Coming from you, Leader, that commendation holds great weight."
With those words, her glance flicked momentarily to Aurora.
Aurora kept her face utterly impassive.
I cleared my throat.
"What about the remaining group?" I inquired, eyeing the insectoid troops.
Lyrate's composure wavered just a touch for the initial occasion.
Just a touch.
"Anyway," she ventured after a short delay, "the teleportation gateway here links to a commerce center named Bbookair. That center falls under the Insectoid race's oversight."
She shrugged one shoulder delicately.
"While passing through the hub on our return, they attempted to penalize us for hurrying across their domain."
Silver murmured quietly from behind me. "That likely proved unwise."
Lyrate paid him no mind.
"Naturally," she proceeded steadily, "I adhered strictly to your directives. Hence, I needed to approach their superiors and sway them to support our endeavor."
She motioned gracefully at the vast insectoid legion positioned opposite the plaza.
"And they consented."
Silence hung for several moments.
Knight tilted toward Steve a bit and murmured, audible to a handful of us.
"The term 'convince' seems to carry heavy lifting there."
Steve agreed with a pensive nod.
"Quite the versatile term."
Nevertheless, Kharzun bellowed with laughter.
"Hahaha! Lady Lyrate has my admiration," the demon general proclaimed with approval. "Swift dealings."
Saleos dipped his head affirmatively.
"Remarkably swift."
I massaged my temple for a second, then dropped my hand and surveyed the enormous force now dominating the city.
Twenty-five thousand premier fighters.
All converged at this spot.
My eyes drifted gradually over them prior to resuming speech.
"Very well," I announced composedly, "that resolves the personnel shortage."
My attention returned to the cluster before me.
"Thus, we can start devising the primary strategy."
Primus advanced.
"I've also summoned some of our rune specialists," he mentioned. "They'll assist in creating gateways straight from the outposts, sparing us returns here each round. They can furthermore forge a gateway linking right to Armus."
I inclined my head.
"Appreciate it, Primus. That'll aid us immensely. Naturally, prior to settling every detail of transport, I intend for us to launch the assault without delay. Prolonged hesitation grants them chances to reorganize, summon backups, or evacuate sites. I demand those outposts razed and secured under our command before such occurs."
Primus concurred with a nod.
General Kharzun addressed me afterward. "What's your preferred course?"
"Every transcendent shall lead a segment of the troops via the gateways to the outposts," I outlined. "Purge them and station guards to claim the site. Once completed, advance to the subsequent target."
I halted momentarily.
"Given our troop count, we'll wrap this up in mere cycles. And we'll name this endeavor: Dead Star."
