My Talent's Name Is Generator Chapter 1250: A Good Deal
Previously on My Talent's Name Is Generator...
Sovereign Abyssal Darkness’s two halves drifted apart through the void, yet even after being cleaved in two, his existence still refused to collapse. I had no intention of giving him the opportunity to recover.
I stepped forward and threw the spatial sword still resting in my hand. The blade shot through the void like a streak of golden lightning, but before it reached him, Space itself split around the sword, dividing the weapon into two identical blades.
One shot toward his left body while the other curved toward his other half, and both blades struck their targets almost simultaneously.
The instant they pierced his bodies, I activated my Right to Anchor.
Space trembled around the two halves, and countless invisible spatial threads wrapped around his existence before locking him firmly in place. It was not merely his physical body that I anchored; I anchored his existence to that particular point in Space and Time. No matter how desperately he tried to flee or reconstruct his body, he would not be able to escape the position I had fixed him to.
I walked toward him without any urgency, and as I approached, I could see his consciousness still struggling within his divided body. He was remarkably difficult to kill. Even after being cut cleanly in half, his body continued to maintain its existence, and strangely, not even a drop of blood escaped from the wounds.
The blood that should have poured into the void seemed to have been frozen in place by the sheer stability of a Demi-God’s existence, suspended within his body rather than obeying the ordinary laws that governed weaker beings.
I raised both fists and punched forward.
Two explosions erupted almost simultaneously.
BOOM!
BOOM!
My fists struck the two halves of his body with enough force to send violent ripples through the surrounding Space. His already damaged body suffered even more injuries as cracks spread through his existence, yet even then, he refused to die.
I looked at him calmly.
"It isn’t time for you to die yet. I still have some use for you."
His dim eyes shifted slightly when he heard those words, but before he could understand what I meant, I stepped closer and raised my hand toward one of his divided heads.
There was something I had been waiting to use.
The destruction of my previous Twelfth Soul Sea current had freed another Soul Chain within my Null Core, giving me the opportunity to create another summon. I had originally intended to use that opportunity when the right target appeared, and now I was looking directly at one.
A faint crimson glow emerged from my chest.
Then the Soul Chain erupted.
A crimson-red chain shot from my Null Core and crossed the short distance between us in an instant, piercing directly through the forehead of Sovereign Abyssal Darkness’s upper body. His consciousness trembled violently, and for the first time, genuine panic appeared in his eyes as the chain began pulling something from the deepest part of his existence.
The chain slowly retreated.
Something followed it.
A miniature sword, no larger than a finger, emerged from his forehead and was dragged back toward me. The tiny weapon was completely black, but unlike the sword he had previously wielded, this one was not simply condensed Darkness Origin. I could clearly sense a soul fluctuation contained within it, along with the unmistakable aura of Darkness Origin.
I watched the miniature sword for a moment before allowing the Soul Chain to return.
The crimson chain pulled the sword back into my chest, disappearing into the Null Core.
A moment later, another miniature sword appeared beside the Null Core.
It began rotating slowly around the black core, joining the other summon cores that orbited it.
The moment the sword completed its first revolution, the light in Sovereign Abyssal Darkness’s eyes began fading.
His consciousness weakened.
The final trace of resistance disappeared.
Then his eyes became completely empty.
His soul had been taken.
Sovereign Abyssal Darkness was dead.
I didn’t waste any more time with his corpse. I raised one hand, and countless spatial blades materialized around me. They hovered silently for a brief moment before shooting toward the remains of his body from every direction.
Space flashed.
His body was instantly shredded into countless pieces before the fragments were reduced further and further until nothing remained except scattered particles that quickly disappeared into the void.
I gently exhaled.
The battle was finally over.
But before I could do anything else, an enormous fluctuation suddenly entered my perception.
Someone was approaching.
The sheer speed of the incoming presence immediately caught my attention, but the aura itself was familiar. I relaxed and simply waited.
A moment later, Space rippled several meters away from me.
A figure stepped out.
It was Amun.
I raised an eyebrow the moment I saw him.
He looked terrible.
Blood stained parts of his body, his robes had been torn in several places, and several deep cuts were visible across the fabric. Even his usually well-kept long hair was slightly frizzled and disordered, making him look less like the composed Sovereign Order I had met at Prime Fate and more like someone who had just survived a battlefield.
I stared at him for a moment before speaking.
"Hey, what happened to you? Did you fall down some stairs or something?"
Amun’s expression immediately darkened.
"What do you mean, did I fall down some stairs?"
His voice carried clear irritation.
"I was fighting those Eternal bastards. Six of them attacked me alone. Do you think it is easy to deal with six Demi-Gods simultaneously?"
He took a breath before continuing, clearly still annoyed by the situation.
"And while doing that, I also had to make sure that only one of them managed to break through and come toward you. I needed to create enough pressure for the traitor to reveal himself, but I couldn’t allow the Eternal to be strong enough to actually kill you. I had to manage all of that at the same time."
I couldn’t help but smile.
"Then thank you for your help. I took care of both the Eternal and the traitor."
Amun’s expression changed immediately.
"Both?"
He stared at me.
"You killed both of them?"
"Yes."
His face became even more serious.
"Why did you kill the traitor?"
I blinked.
"Why?"
"You shouldn’t have killed him." Amun’s tone became increasingly frustrated. "Now we have one less Demi-God on our side to fight the Eternals. The situation is already serious enough without us reducing our own numbers."
I stared at him for a moment before chuckling.
"You’re forgetting something."
Amun frowned.
"What?"
"Do you remember that I can summon people?"
His eyes widened.
For a brief moment, he simply stared at me. Then I could practically see the realization hit him.
He knew about my summoning ability.
He had simply forgotten about it in the middle of everything else.
I chuckled and snapped my fingers.
A crimson-red summoning circle appeared beside me.
The circle rotated slowly, its edges glowing with Soul Force as a dense fluctuation of Darkness Origin began emerging from within it. A figure gradually stepped through the crimson light, his entire body covered in a dark cloak.
The moment he appeared, the surrounding void became heavy with Darkness Origin.
He stopped beside me and lowered his head respectfully.
I glanced at him before turning toward Amun.
"Here is your Demi-God."
I gestured toward the newly summoned figure.
"Completely intact."
Amun’s eyes remained fixed on him, his expression caught somewhere between shock and disbelief.
"There is only one small issue," I added. "His Origin Resonance has dropped from twenty-four percent to seventeen percent after becoming my summon, but I would say that’s good enough for now."
I looked toward the newly summoned Sovereign Abyssal Darkness before turning back to Amun.
"We killed one of their Demi-Gods, and we lost nothing in return."
A faint smile appeared on my face.
"Seems like a pretty good exchange to me."
