My Talent's Name Is Generator Chapter 1146: Overwhelming Strength
Previously on My Talent's Name Is Generator...
The metallic sound echoed throughout the pocket realm. It was loud and ominous. The sound seemed to bypass their ears entirely, resonating directly within their souls.
Every head instinctively tilted upward.
The silver sky...had cracked open. As though invisible hands were slowly pulling apart reality itself.
From within that endless opening... Something descended.
Ancient.
Silent.
Majestic.
An enormous stone tablet slowly emerged from beyond the heavens, every inch of its weathered surface covered in countless runes that pulsed with an authority older than civilization itself. Some of the runes resembled ancient languages long forgotten, while others looked less like writing and more like laws carved directly into existence.
With the tablet stretched two unimaginably thick crimson chains. Each chain disappeared endlessly into the opening above before descending alongside the tablet toward the ground below.
They weren’t being pulled. They were anchoring it.
The instant the lower ends struck the earth...
BOOOOOOM!
The entire pocket dimension shook violently. Mountains along the horizon fractured.
The silver grass flattened across hundreds of kilometers.
Even the barriers Gerald had constructed rippled visibly under the impact. Every Saint present instinctively released Soul Force to resist.
A pressure unlike anything they had ever experienced had descended upon the battlefield.
Gerald’s expression changed instantly.
"...Impossible."
His eyes widened in shock.
"It leaked..."
Without another thought, he thrust both hands toward the sky.
Thousands upon thousands of runes erupted around the pocket dimension, reinforcing every barrier simultaneously as silver formations layered one upon another with incredible speed.
The shaking gradually lessened.
But it never completely stopped.
Outside...Far beyond the hidden battlefield...The Ironheart Settlement trembled.
Families stopped eating. Children looked toward the sky in confusion. Buildings vibrated softly beneath an invisible weight.
Inside a home near the eastern district, my father slowly lowered the cup in his hand.
His expression changed almost instantly.
"...That aura..."
He stood.
My mother followed his gaze toward the ceiling.
"...Billion."
Neither of them needed another explanation.
Somewhere inside the settlement...Their son had unleashed his authority.
Back inside the pocket realm...
Absolute silence filled the battlefield.
No one looked at me anymore.
Every pair of eyes remained fixed upon the colossal tablet suspended behind me.
Even the Astrals had forgotten to blink. The ticking within their eyes had stopped completely.
Kaelra’s pupils narrowed into thin slits.
"...What....is that?"
Sue whispered almost unconsciously.
"That.....isn’t a Soul Manifestation."
"It isn’t," Gerald replied quietly.
Shade’s expression gradually settled into complete seriousness.
The faint smile that had lingered on his face since entering the battlefield disappeared as his silver eyes met mine across the endless plain. For several heartbeats neither of us moved. The only sound came from the slow rotation of the black eclipse hanging high above us and the soft rattling of the countless chains wrapped around the colossal coffin imprisoned at its center.
Then Shade slowly raised his right hand.
"I was hoping," he said quietly, "that we could end this with nothing more than a comparison of our Authorities."
His fingers slowly closed.
"It appears I was mistaken."
The chains surrounding the obsidian coffin suddenly began vibrating violently.
A deep metallic groan echoed across the pocket dimension as one after another the chains loosened themselves. They didn’t fall away completely. They merely relaxed enough for the enormous lid of the coffin to shift.
A narrow gap appeared.
From within that darkness...something moved.
The silence that followed lasted only a heartbeat before two colossal black hands burst out of the coffin with terrifying speed. They were neither skeletal nor human. Their surfaces appeared to be woven entirely from condensed shadows, constantly dissolving and reforming as though they struggled to maintain a stable shape.
They reached toward me to embrace.
Wherever those enormous palms passed, reality quietly began disappearing. The silver grass beneath them instantly turned grey before dissolving into nothingness. Space itself distorted, and the laws stabilizing the pocket dimension weakened under their passage. Even the barrier formations Gerald had painstakingly constructed flickered as the advancing darkness attempted to erase them from existence.
"Oblivion Embrace."
Shade’s calm voice echoed beneath the eclipse.
"Everything eventually returns to nothing."
The two gigantic hands continued rushing toward me from opposite directions, intending to close around my body like the embrace of death itself.
I remained exactly where I was.
There wasn’t the slightest intention of dodging.
Slowly, I raised my right hand toward the descending black hands.
My tablet reacted. The countless runes engraved upon its surface shimmered softly, as though awaiting a command.
"Freeze."
The single word carried no force.
Yet the ancient tablet answered immediately.
A ripple spread across its surface, and for the first time every leader present noticed that the runes were changing. Thousands of ancient symbols reorganized themselves before a single enormous rune appeared across the center of the monument.
FREEZE.
The heavens trembled.
An invisible wave swept across the battlefield before colliding with the approaching hands.
The effect was immediate.
The enormous palms abruptly slowed. Not because they had encountered resistance. Time itself around them had begun obeying another authority.
Their advance became sluggish, every movement requiring greater effort than the last. Fingers that had been rushing toward me with enough force to erase this pocket dimension now crawled forward almost imperceptibly before finally coming to a complete halt less than twenty meters away.
Absolute stillness.
The gigantic hands remained suspended in midair exactly as they were.
Unable to advance or retreat.
For several seconds nobody spoke.
Then Gerald broke the silence.
"...His Authority overrode Shade’s."
Shade’s expression remained calm.
Only his eyes had narrowed.
"I see."
His voice remained composed despite the surprise.
"So your Existence is this strong."
I smiled faintly.
"You are just seeing the tip."
"Right to Equalize," I activated my right.
The violet and silver runes covering the ancient tablet suddenly illuminated together.
Unlike before, they did not produce overwhelming pressure. Instead, a gentle ripple spread outward from the monument.
Almost peaceful.
Bands of violet and silver light expanded across the battlefield like circles spreading across the surface of a calm lake until they reached Shade and the Eclipse of Oblivion suspended above him.
For the briefest instant...
Nothing happened.
Then the eclipse trembled. The fractured rings surrounding it slowed noticeably.
The coffin groaned. The gigantic frozen hands suddenly began shaking violently.
Not because they had regained movement... Because they were becoming weaker.
The endless darkness composing them gradually lost its density as streams of Soul Force leaked from their surfaces. The terrifying nullification that had spread across the battlefield moments earlier weakened with every passing heartbeat until, unable to sustain themselves any longer, both colossal hands shattered into countless fragments of black mist before dissolving completely into pure Soul Force.
A stunned silence followed.
Shade looked upward.
For the first time since the battle began...concern appeared in his eyes.
The Eclipse of Oblivion was shrinking. Its authority itself was being reduced.
Every advantage his Domain possessed over mine was steadily being pulled toward equilibrium, as though an invisible hand had grasped the very concept of superiority and begun erasing the difference between us.
CLANG!
The chains anchoring my tablet suddenly shook.
The sound echoed across the entire pocket dimension.
Another ripple burst outward.
This one carried overwhelming authority.
The Eclipse of Oblivion lurched violently.
Hairline cracks spread across the fractured rings revolving around the coffin, and the enormous manifestation began trembling so fiercely that even the sky itself seemed ready to fracture alongside it.
Shade’s eyes widened. He immediately understood what everyone else had yet to realize.
Another pulse...and his Domain would break. A damaged Domain could take centuries to restore.
Some never recovered at all. Without the slightest hesitation, Shade raised his hand.
The Eclipse dissolved.
The coffin vanished.
The fractured rings disappeared into drifting shadows that were quickly reclaimed by the wind.
The pressure weighing upon the battlefield disappeared almost instantly.
For several moments neither of us spoke.
Then I slowly lowered my hand.
The ancient tablet remained suspended behind me, its runes glowing quietly as though nothing remarkable had happened.
I looked at Shade and offered him a small smile.
"I never summoned my Soul Manifestation."
My voice carried effortlessly across the silent battlefield.
"And yet I came within a single command of fracturing your complete Domain Manifestation."
I slowly swept my gaze across every leader gathered around the battlefield before speaking one final time.
"If I ask any of you to march into the most dangerous place in existence..."
My eyes returned to Shade.
"...it will never be from behind your backs. It will always be from the front."
Every ancient leader present understood they had not merely witnessed a duel.
They had witnessed one Authority acknowledging another. And for the first time in countless ages, they had seen a complete Domain Manifestation forced into retreat by an opponent who had never even summoned his own soul.
