My Talent's Name Is Generator Chapter 1111: Acquiring A New Trait
Previously on My Talent's Name Is Generator...
The moment I focused on the newly acquired Saint soul orbiting around my Null Core, the familiar sensation of Trait Acquisition finally appeared. Unlike previous times, there was no towering door, no endless corridor stretching through the void, and no mysterious force dragging my consciousness elsewhere. I was already inside the Null Realm, and perhaps because of that, the entire process unfolded directly within my own soul.
The Saint soul that had once belonged to Lacome slowly rotated around the Null Core, radiating countless streams of silver and black light. As the Generator Core accelerated, those streams began separating from one another, condensing into distinct spheres that drifted outward before stabilizing in the darkness surrounding me.
There were three of them.
The first sphere glowed with deep crimson light. Countless miniature symbols flowed across its surface, each carrying traces of fire, lightning, ice, poison, corrosion, and countless other elemental forces.
Time Resistance Physique.
The second sphere appeared metallic silver. It pulsed with rhythmic vibrations that reminded me of a giant heart beating somewhere within the darkness.
Titan Musculature.
The third sphere immediately drew my attention. Unlike the others, it possessed no fixed color.
Every shade imaginable continuously flowed across its surface, transforming the sphere into a swirling vortex of shifting colors. The longer I looked at it, the more I felt as though I were staring into an endless ocean containing answers to questions I had not even asked.
My gaze narrowed.
There was never truly a choice.
The other two traits were powerful. Any Saint would willingly slaughter entire worlds to obtain them.
But compared to this...
They were worthless.
I reached forward and pressed my hand against the multicolored sphere.
The moment contact was established, the sphere collapsed inward before erupting outward in a dazzling torrent of light.
Countless streams of shifting colors surged toward me like a broken dam, crossing the darkness of the Null Realm in an instant before crashing directly into my eyes.
A violent pain immediately followed, causing my entire body to tense. It wasn’t the pain of physical injury, nor was it the familiar agony of soul damage. Instead, it felt as though invisible hands were prying open parts of my existence that had remained sealed since the moment of my birth, forcing pathways open that had never been meant to exist.
I instinctively clenched my teeth as an overwhelming flood of information poured into my consciousness.
The darkness around me disappeared.
Fragments of truths I had never encountered before rushed through my mind faster than thought itself, weaving together into a complete inheritance.
The All-Knowing Eyes.
A Yellow grade talent capable of touching truths beyond ordinary perception.
As the inheritance unfolded, I gradually came to understand that the greatest mystery surrounding the Talent was not what it could do, but how it did it.
Even the original creators of the Eyes had never discovered the answer. Across millions of years, countless Saints, Eternals, and even beings standing above them had attempted to uncover the source of its knowledge, yet every investigation eventually reached the same conclusion.
Failure.
The Eyes simply knew. They did not observe every corner of existence. They did not continuously monitor reality.
They did not predict all futures.
Yet somehow, when a question was asked, an answer existed. How that answer was obtained remained unknown.
The first function of the Talent was All-Knowing Gaze.
The ability allowed the user to seek an answer from the Eye itself. Any question could theoretically be asked, whether it concerned the past, the present, or even possibilities that had yet to occur. The Eye would then use every authority, law, and comprehension available to its wielder in order to obtain that answer.
Space could be traversed. Time could be observed. Future branches could be examined. Hidden dimensions could be searched. The process itself remained invisible to the user, but the answer would eventually be delivered.
The cost, however, scaled with the question.
A simple inquiry might consume only a negligible amount of Soul Force.
A difficult one could drain a God dry.
Questions involving ancient secrets, hidden Lords, distant futures, or existences far stronger than the user could demand terrifying prices.
In the most extreme cases, the Eye would continue searching until either an answer was found or the user died.
The inheritance lingered briefly before the second function was revealed.
All-Knowing Judgment.
Unlike Gaze, Judgment did not seek information. It evaluated information that already existed.
The Eye would examine a statement, a belief, a suspicion, or a piece of intelligence and render its verdict.
It offered no explanations and no supporting evidence. It simply judged whether something was true. Because it did not require searching through reality itself, the cost was substantially lower than All-Knowing Gaze, though sufficiently complicated truths could still consume tremendous amounts of Soul Force.
As more understanding settled into place, I finally grasped the true limitation of the Talent.
The Eye itself possessed no limits. The wielder did.
A weak Saint might receive only fragments of information.
A stronger Saint could receive visions.
An Demi-God might receive entire chains of causality spanning centuries.
The answer provided by the Eye was always restricted by the power of the existence asking the question. That realization immediately brought Lacome to mind.
Only now did I understand how much of the Talent’s potential had remained inaccessible to him.
The All-Knowing Eyes relied heavily on the authorities possessed by their owner, and I happened to possess two of the most useful comprehensions imaginable.
Space.
And Time.
If an answer existed in the past, the Eye could search for it. If an answer was hidden across dimensions, the Eye could locate it.
If an answer required examining possible futures, the Eye could follow countless branches until the required information was found.
The stronger I became, the deeper the Eye could search.
And with both Space and Time Comprehension already in my possession, the potential of this Talent far exceeded anything Lacome had ever been capable of displaying.
Eventually the flood of information began to recede. The final fragments of understanding settled into place.
Then I felt something shift within me. The inheritance was complete. And the Talent was beginning to merge with my eyes.
I slowly opened my eyes.
The familiar darkness of the Null Realm greeted me once more, silent and endless as ever, yet I immediately sensed that something had changed. At first the difference was subtle, little more than a strange sensation lingering around my face, but moments later black lines began emerging from the corners of my eyes.
They spread outward across my skin like living veins, branching and twisting before eventually stabilizing into intricate patterns surrounding both eyes.
At the same time, something appeared within my pupils.
A black X.
The symbol slowly rotated once before continuing its motion in a steady rhythm, endlessly spinning within the depths of my eyes as though it had always belonged there.
Curious, I gathered a small amount of Soul Force and formed a reflective surface before me.
The figure staring back was familiar.
Yet undeniably different.
The black patterns surrounding my eyes gave off an ancient and mysterious appearance, while the rotating X symbols within my pupils created a faint sense of pressure even to my own perception.
