My Secret Billionaire Husband Chapter 2872 - 2891: It’s Joanna Lawrence
Previously on My Secret Billionaire Husband...
Every dwelling within this neighborhood is under the ownership of the White family. Even the property managers are employed by them. Naturally, as a member of the White family, Joanna could enter unimpeded. After confirming her identity, Joanna proceeded inside but then halted abruptly, turning back to inquire, "Does Omega Huntley reside here? Has she recently returned to this residential area?"
"Omega Huntley?" the security guard looked uncertain, not quite recognizing the name. Joanna Lawrence had discovered that Annie Lawrence hadn't purchased property in this exclusive area; she was merely renting a place. After all, the residences were incredibly expensive, with even modest units fetching millions, while larger ones commanded hundreds of millions. Annie had amassed some wealth previously, but it had vanished due to penalties. By the time she departed Closia, she was completely penniless, forcing her to depend on David Benington. The very dwelling she occupied now had been secured and paid for by David. "She's a woman who looks remarkably like me. Haven't you seen her?" Joanna provided a subtle clue to the security guard. A few moments later, the guard slapped his thigh in recognition, nodding. "Yes, I have! Indeed, there's a woman who bears a striking resemblance to you, Ms. Joanna. She came back yesterday. Are you looking for her, Ms. Joanna? Is she a relative?"
"Well... I suppose you could say that." Joanna Lawrence offered a tight-lipped smile. "No wonder you two look so alike," the security guard beamed, casting a curious glance at Joanna. "Is she your younger sister?"
"Younger sister?" Joanna echoed the words, a smirk playing on her lips, her eyes betraying a flicker of coldness. "Yes, she is my sister."
"I see, I see." The security guard observed Joanna once more, a thought forming: could she be the White family's long-lost daughter? Yet, her supposed sister wasn't from the White family. How could they share such a likeness? Was it possible her sister was also a missing daughter of the White family? If so, surely the White family would have recognized her by now. Furthermore, he mused, while her sister bore a resemblance, her demeanor and overall appearance were undeniably inferior.

Once informed that Annie Lawrence had returned to her dwelling in Closia, Joanna proceeded directly to her house. Ten minutes later, she stood before Annie’s residence, reaching out to press the doorbell. Soon, a familiar voice emanated from within, "Who is it?" It was the voice of Rose Liall. Annie had returned to her homeland, and Rose, naturally, had accompanied her, living together as mother and daughter. Joanna remained silent. A camera was mounted on the door, allowing Rose to see Joanna from inside. Just as expected. Footsteps approached the door, and moments later, Joanna heard Rose's voice, laced with astonishment, tension, and anger, "Joanna Lawrence?"
"Mom, who is it?" another voice inquired from within – Annie’s. Rose faltered for a beat before replying in a strained tone, "It’s Joanna."
"What? Joanna is here?" Annie's surprise was evident. In the next instant, the firmly shut door swung open. Annie and Rose stood in the entryway, and seeing Joanna on the threshold, Annie's face darkened considerably. With a frigid gaze fixed on Joanna, she demanded in a menacing tone, "Joanna, how did you know I'm living here? What are you doing here?"
