Joanna joined the parent-child variety show 'My Internship Parents,' teaming up with actor Kelvin Norman and his daughter Olivia in luxurious accommodations. The first task required preparing a meal the child would enjoy, which Joanna aced with her four dishes and soup, delighting Olivia who finished her special Steamed Egg and requested more. Kelvin praised her skills, agreed to handle dishwashing while she cooks, and after putting Olivia down for a nap, he inquired if the girl was asleep.

Joanna Lawrence perched on the bed's edge, humming a soothing lullaby for some time.

With Olivia finally drifting off, Joanna tucked the blanket around her and quietly slipped from the bedroom.

Out in the hallway, she softly shut the door behind her.

Kelvin Norman wrapped up the dishwashing, dried his hands, and stepped from the kitchen. Spotting Joanna creeping out, he murmured, "Has Olivia gone to sleep?"

Joanna spun around, keeping her tone hushed, "Yes, she just dozed off."

Kelvin let out a soft laugh, "She’s so obedient, heading straight to bed after eating. I figured handling a kid would be tough, but she’s way simpler than I imagined."

Joanna nodded, fully agreeing.

She’d always believed kids were a real handful.

Little girls in particular, being more fragile, seemed extra challenging.

Yet surprisingly, Olivia turned out to be a breeze to look after.

No fuss whatsoever.

She dined without a peep and settled for just two cartoon episodes, no begging for extras.

Bedtime went smoothly as well.

Joanna reckoned if every child was this undemanding, she’d happily go for two.

Originally, she’d planned for just one, figuring childcare was overwhelming.

Plus, she doubted her own parenting skills.

Now though, minding Olivia felt effortless, so it no longer seemed burdensome.

"Yeah, Olivia’s super obedient and simple to handle." Joanna grinned, "Seems our first day’s mission will wrap up smoothly."

"I’m thrilled to be teamed with you." Kelvin showered her with compliments freely, "You’re an ace in the kitchen, and your dishes taste amazing. Olivia loves them. Without decent cooking from at least one of us, this initial challenge would’ve been a nightmare."

"Hey, it’s a team effort. You might not cook, but you’re great with kids. Without you distracting Olivia, I couldn’t have concentrated on the meal."

"Okay, enough mutual praise for the moment," Kelvin grinned slyly, "Care for a quick rest? My room’s open if you want to nap."

Paired contestants, one guy and one girl, shared living spaces.

Each pair had dual bedrooms, one for the man and one for the woman.

Joanna had recently settled Olivia in her room for sleep.

Ever the gentleman, Kelvin suggested his space for Joanna’s downtime.

"Or..." Right as Joanna opened her mouth to claim no fatigue or need for rest, a knock echoed at the door.

She traded looks with Kelvin, who then approached to answer it.

The host, Edward Cooper, waited just outside.

Kelvin beamed at Edward, inquiring, "Edward, what brings you here?"

"Indeed," Edward confirmed with a nod, peering beyond Kelvin to Joanna, then adding meaningfully after a beat, "Orders from higher-ups just came in, requiring changes to earlier setups. Pack your things—the Program Group’s set up individual rooms for male participants. Guys and gals won’t room together anymore."

Kelvin froze briefly before snapping back, "Gotta relocate right away?"

"Correct," Edward affirmed, eyeing Joanna, "Pack and go now."

"Got it." Kelvin skipped questioning the sudden male eviction for all, though he suspected something, given Edward’s constant glances at Joanna during the chat.
