My Longevity Simulation Chapter 1056: The Dharma Transmitter's Oath
Previously on My Longevity Simulation...
"Annihilate the world? Isn't that a bit excessive?" Li Fan's face betrayed his shock. "In this era, the Xuanhuang Realm is the only relatively secure sanctuary remaining within the Darkest Star Sea..."
Dharma-Transmitter Wei cut him off with a dismissive wave before he could finish. "Heh, young friend, you have the wrong idea. We aren't actually looking to destroy the Xuanhuang Realm. We simply need to manufacture a crisis that ordinary cultivators are helpless against—one that forces Jiang himself to take action."
"Once we have lured Jiang out, the two of us can intervene and talk sense into him. We should be capable of persuading him to look into the current leadership of the Five Elders Association."
A flash of cruelty crossed Dharma-Transmitter Wei's eyes. "Those Xuantian Sect demons can disguise themselves however they like, but they will never survive the scrutiny of the [Dharma-Transmitter's Oath]!"
"The Dharma-Transmitter's Oath?" Li Fan inquired immediately, hearing the term for the first time.
"It is the [Great Oath] that every one of us was required to take upon joining the Transmitters in the past. It is sworn in the name of the Dharma-Transmitting Immortal Ancestor, witnessed by the countless comrades who have fallen or are prepared to fall. It points straight to the heart and forces a confrontation with one's own divine soul."
"Back then, when we were being ruthlessly hunted and suppressed by the Ten Immortal Sects, not everyone was able to keep their original intentions pure."
"To root out the traitors among the Transmitter ranks, the [Dharma-Transmitter's Oath] review was vital! If any Dharma-Transmitter broke their original vow, ten other Dharma-Transmitters could gather to force an oath inspection."
"Under the interrogation and brilliance of that inner light, their true loyalty would be laid bare!" Dharma-Transmitter Wei stated with pride.
"It's a shame that since the Ten Thousand Immortals Alliance was established and order was restored, the Dharma-Transmitter's Oath review hasn't actually been used for many years. Everyone has silently agreed to ignore it, treating it as if it never existed," Dharma-Transmitter Zhou interrupted Wei's monologue, her voice cold and detached.
For a moment, Wei looked visibly embarrassed.
"Regardless, if we can assemble ten Dharma-Transmitters, we can definitely unmask the Xuantian Sect's plot! Jiang holds a unique status; he alone is worth five Dharma-Transmitters. With the two of us included, we only need to secure three more allies!" The white-haired Wei quickly pivoted the conversation.
"Given Jiang's reputation, it won't be difficult if he leads the charge!"
Li Fan gave a nod. "Our Federation of All Worlds includes many surviving cultivators from various immortal realms. The disasters that struck their homes were all unique. To concoct a catastrophe significant enough to attract Jiang..."
"That is no issue at all!" Li Fan declared with certainty.
"Then the only remaining uncertainty... is your claim regarding Chen and the others being possessed by Xuantian Sect demons."
Just as Li Fan thought the deal was closed, the two Dharma-Transmitters unexpectedly brought the discussion back to its starting point.
Dharma-Transmitter Zhou's voice returned to its lazy drawl, and her previous urgency to save the Ten Thousand Immortals Alliance vanished instantly.
"Hypothesis is just hypothesis. If we investigate the highest authority of the Ten Thousand Immortals Alliance without hard proof, imagine the chaos the Alliance would fall into afterward."
"Your Federation of All Worlds has hunted the Xuantian Sect remnants for a long time; you must know them intimately. Can you provide definitive evidence?" Dharma-Transmitter Zhou questioned.
Li Fan stayed quiet for a beat before speaking slowly. "That Mo Rubin is exceptionally devious. Many of the old secret techniques used to identify Xuantian Sect members no longer work on him. However..."
He paused, then resumed with an air of confidence. "The Xuantian Sect Dharma Kings all practice immortal realm techniques inherited from the ancient Xuantian King. They belong to a single lineage, sharing the same Qi and origin. Once they have cultivated it, they can sense one another."
"Using this concept, we can construct a small puppet that runs the Xuantian Sect Dharma King technique automatically. If any Xuantian Sect members are nearby, this object will naturally react..."
While speaking, Li Fan smiled and produced a palm-sized, translucent figurine made of white jade, showing it to the two Transmitters.
Zhou and Wei took the small puppet and scrutinized it, both looking stunned.
The white jade figure appeared almost sentient, with its internal Cultivation technique circulating on its own.
They could even feel a rhythmic life aura pulsing from it!
This level of artifact-refining skill...
Even the Ten Thousand Immortals Alliance falls short!
Consequently, their confidence in Li Fan's claims grew.
“I will give this puppet to you both as a gift. I trust that with your skills, you can perform the final check. I hope this can be settled quickly.”
“The Xuantian Sect demon has pulled the strings of the Ten Thousand Immortals Alliance for five years already. With such immense power at his disposal, his secret schemes are incredibly dangerous,” Li Fan remarked gravely.
“I must also go back and report these findings. I hope it will garner more attention from the organization.”
Having said that, Li Fan clasped his hands in a respectful salute and prepared to depart.
The two Dharma-Transmitters made no move to stop him.
Li Fan left behind a disc marked with [Myriad Worlds] to serve as a future contact point. Then, he quickly exited Dharma-Transmitter Zhou's private small world.
Zhou played with the Myriad Worlds Disc, a strange light dancing in her eyes.
Her divine sense entered the disc, finding itself in an expansive starry sky. Most of it was buried under a yellow fog, revealing only glimpses of the warped lights beneath.
Only the point of light representing Li Fan was bright and clear. Communication was functional.
Zhou fell into deep thought.
In that star chart, every point of light was a cultivator from the Federation of All Worlds. All of them could be reached through this disc.
Currently, however, only Li Fan had authorized contact; the others were hidden by some mysterious power.
Access required the other party's consent.
Zhou showed the Myriad Worlds disc to Dharma-Transmitter Wei.
A moment later, the white-haired Wei sighed softly. “It seems this Federation of All Worlds truly does exist.”
“This kind of technology isn't something a minor power could possess. And this puppet...”
“Huang has been incredibly careless. An organization like this appeared in the Xuanhuang Realm without us knowing anything about it.”
Wei’s expression became rather grim.
Zhou only gave a noncommittal smile. “We will see when we finally meet their so-called Longevity Immortal experts. Everything else is just a detail. Only the Longevity Immortal stage...”
“Cannot be faked, and it best demonstrates an organization's true strength.”
A look of yearning appeared in Wei’s eyes. “The Longevity Immortal stage...”
“If I wasn't bound by the duties of a Dharma-Transmitter, I might have reached it back then. What a shame...”
Zhou glanced at him. “Are you trying to lie to me now, too?”
Wei just shook his head slightly, offering no excuses.
After a silence, he suddenly said, “By the way, do a thorough investigation on the juniors who handled this mission.”
“He knows your movements too well; there is definitely a mole.”
