Damon went quiet when he heard that.

He already knew the Forbidden Tome was a powerful tool, but the Blind Old Daoist had classified it as a weapon.

"The tome in question is a book with infinite pages, and on each page is infinite knowledge. It is the key to infinite power. No mortal should wield it."

Damon sighed and took a deep breath.

His thoughts immediately went to Sylvia.

He had already made up his mind.

"A friend of mine has it, and she’s been using it for years."

The Blind Old Daoist took a deep breath before smiling.

"Then your friend is the vessel of Unknown. Of that, I am certain. It’s simply too obvious. Why else would the Unseen Sovereign deliver his weapon through her? It’s so he can use her as a vessel when he eventually fights the Goddess of Doom for the Pillar of Conflict."

"What happens to Sylvia?"

Damon’s hands began shaking uncontrollably.

"Either way, it’s bad. If Doom wins, she dies and Unknown’s vessel is destroyed. If Doom loses, which is more likely, she most likely won’t survive having fought on that scale. Even if she lives, she won’t be the same. I am certain she isn’t even the same now."

"Do you know how to save her?"

There was a desperate edge to Damon’s voice.

"If I said I did, would you believe me? There is no saving her. It’s the end."

Damon closed his eyes and sat down.

He remained quiet for a long moment.

"It’s not like Unknown made a perfect vessel for himself. He simply modified one that already existed. She is good, but not perfect."

The Blind Old Daoist looked at him.

"It’s quite easy, really. One vessel has his authority, and another has his weapon."

"Unknown wields three weapons. Two swords and a book, each representing something. The Sword of Beginning, Genesis Alpha, holds power over creation. The second, Nemesis Omega, holds the end. The Tome is different. It holds knowledge."

Damon’s expression remained solemn.

"Which do you think Unknown would pick if he was using a vessel?"

"He’d pick the Tome."

Damon turned around and prepared to leave.

He wrapped the spear in shadows and inscribed several runes around it before taking out the seals he had prepared and slapping them onto the weapon.

"Are you really taking something so deadly outside?"

Damon ignored him and continued walking.

He soon reached the throne room.

Damon sat down on his throne and closed his eyes.

He glanced at his shadow.

It was gone.

His shadow was still with his physical body.

As much as he hated to admit it, there was nothing he could do about it right now.

So he opened his system panel and looked at it.
