Qiao Yue searches for Qiao Jing on the ship, confronting him during a ball. He proposes they team up to eliminate Austin, revealing he's been compelled to align with Qiao Li and Qiao Yi due to an offer from the Godfather. Qiao Yue refuses to betray Andy and urges Qiao Jing to leave the ship. He responds with a kiss before Qiao Yue pushes him away, determined to handle Andy herself.

“Naturally, it’s the Godfather,” Andy stated, his glass of wine held aloft as he stood beside Qiao Yue.

His expression was unsettlingly artificial, like a poorly applied mask.

“What troubles you? Do you doubt my capacity to gather intelligence on them?” Andy inquired, his gaze fixed on Qiao Yue.

“Then what is our course of action? This is a collaborative effort, and I have no desire for Qiao Jing to be harmed.”

“You bear affection for that child?” Andy’s eyebrows arched.

“No, I do not. Grandpa Qiao is exceedingly elderly; he could not withstand the grief of losing his grandson. Grandpa Qiao was exceptionally kind to my mother, and it was her final wish for him to live out his remaining days in tranquility.”

Andy let out a low chuckle. “He has thrust himself into this situation. What about the Godfather? Have any leads surfaced?”

“Mr. K from Room 304 and Mr. S from Room 709 both bear scars on their hands, quite like the Godfather’s.”

“It appears the Godfather is a rather intriguing individual,” Andy remarked with amusement. “He even procured body doubles.”

Andy then presented a check to Qiao Yue. “Proceed to the casino tomorrow and engage with them. It would be advantageous if we could apprehend the Godfather alive.”

Qiao Yue regarded Andy with disbelief. Andy had truly lost his senses. Putting aside the uncertainty of whether these two individuals were indeed the Godfather, the notion of capturing him alive was exceptionally perilous.

“I am no match for him,” Qiao Yue declared.

“Even if victory is improbable, we must still make an attempt, mustn’t we? Otherwise, we would be betraying the years of training he has imparted upon us.”

Qiao Yue retreated to her suite to change.

Her phone suddenly vibrated with an incoming call. It was the Godfather.

“Godfather, what is it?”

“I have another assignment for you. Tomorrow, an auction for a firearm will take place at the casino aboard this cruise ship. Your objective is to acquire that weapon.”

“Understood, Godfather. However, I have a request, though I am uncertain if it falls within your capabilities.”

“State it,” the Godfather’s voice drawled, accompanied by the faint strains of a classical symphony in the background.

“My request is to have Qiao Jing disembark from the ship,” Qiao Yue replied. “In five hours, this cruise ship is scheduled to dock in X-Country. Kindly ensure his safe departure and refrain from interfering with my mission.”

“I truly might be unable to fulfill your request, Qiao Yue,” the Godfather chuckled. “Since you perceive Qiao Jing as a threat, why not escort him away yourself? I have faith in your abilities.”

The Godfather then terminated the call.

Qiao Yue neglected to illuminate the room, gazing into the darkness as she descended into contemplation.

Meanwhile, Qiao Jing returned to his suite, which he shared with Qiao Yu.

Observing Qiao Jing’s somber demeanor, Qiao Yu inquired, “How did it go? Did you encounter her?”

Qiao Jing offered a solemn nod.

“And how is she? Is she unharmed?”

“She is well. We will escort her to X-Country tomorrow morning, as I will not permit her to remain aboard this vessel any longer. There is something amiss with both Andy and the Godfather.”

“Something amiss?” Qiao Yu’s brow furrowed. “Are they not merely two notorious drug lords? What could possibly be wrong?”

“I encountered Andy and conversed with the Godfather. For reasons I cannot articulate, I perceive a striking similarity between them. A sense of foreboding washes over me. It is plausible that this entire situation is an elaborate trap orchestrated by the Godfather.”

Qiao Yu knitted his brows; he too had contemplated such a grim possibility.

Just as the two brothers were about to speak further, the lights within the room abruptly dimmed.

The door creaked open, operated by a master key, and a familiar scent wafted into the room.

“Qiao Yue?” As Qiao Yu voiced his confusion, he heard the distinct sound of a body landing with a heavy thud upon the bedsheets.

“Silence,” a girl clad in a black jumpsuit commanded, having placed Qiao Jing on the bed and now leveling a pistol at Qiao Yu.

Qiao Yu was utterly taken aback; he had never anticipated Qiao Yue would ever point a weapon at him.

“Qiao Yue, I am your fourth brother. What is the meaning of this?”

Qiao Yue proceeded to bind Qiao Jing, and subsequently, Qiao Yu.

“Are all of you here to assassinate Andy?”

“What Andy? I am unaware of any such individual,” Qiao Yu responded hastily, feeling the chilling point of a needle press against the nape of his neck before a cold liquid was injected into his body.

“Your current obligation is to remain silent and comply with my instructions,” Qiao Yue’s voice was ice-cold. “This anesthetic will sustain its effect until tomorrow morning. I shall leave you in X-Country, and you are forbidden from boarding this vessel again.”

“You are the one who ought to return with us. For your sake, second brother…” Before Qiao Yu could articulate his thoughts, his vision blurred, and he succumbed to unconsciousness.

Qiao Yue observed Qiao Yu, a sigh escaping her lips. “Perhaps I should have allowed him to complete his sentence.” She too harbored a desire to comprehend the extent of Qiao Jing’s past actions on her behalf.
