Previously on My Girlfriend is a Zombie...
Ling Mo discovered a bus filled with zombie corpses, some showing signs of cannibalism. He then encountered Ye Lian, his childhood sweetheart, who had mutated into a unique zombie capable of harming others. Ling Mo managed to gain control of Ye Lian and, driven by a faint hope of a cure, fed her a strange gel-like substance from a zombie puppet's head, which seemed to invigorate her.

In a moment of trance, Ye Lian's eyes immediately flashed with a cold glint. Simultaneously, Ling Mo felt a throbbing pain in his head. Fortunately, Ling Mo regained his senses and reasserted control over Ye Lian.

A mere lapse in concentration, and Ye Lian nearly slipped from his grasp, a realization that sent a jolt of fear through Ling Mo.

Normal zombie puppets were no match for Ye Lian, and Ling Mo himself was struggling. Moreover, he had no desire to harm Ye Lian, nor could he afford to be killed by her. Since finding Ye Lian, he knew he couldn't die; he had to find a way to return her to normal.

It wasn't safe to remain there; Ling Mo quickly directed Ye Lian towards his home.

In such a densely populated area, encountering zombies was almost inevitable, even with extreme caution. However, unlike previous encounters, with Ye Lian's assistance, the zombies fell with little to no resistance.

In terms of speed and power, Ye Lian far surpassed average zombies. Previously, Ling Mo had worried about Ye Lian getting hurt in battles and hesitated to involve her. But when zombies appeared, Ye Lian radiated an intense hostility that even made Ling Mo feel a surge of heat. The ferocity he'd sensed in past battles with Ye Lian was magnified tenfold.

The instant Ye Lian charged forward, Ling Mo clearly felt he was now only partially controlling her. During combat, her instincts were fully unleashed, and at Ling Mo's level of zombie control, he could only maintain their connection, not dictate her fighting style.

"I never imagined she was this strong..." Ling Mo suddenly felt a sense of impending danger. If he didn't enhance his own strength, it might not be long before Ye Lian broke free from his control. Forget helping her recover; he might perish by her hands. Even if he miraculously escaped, finding her again in this vast city would be like searching for a needle in a haystack.

With this thought, Ling Mo gritted his teeth, tightened his grip on his boning knife, and rushed to Ye Lian's side.

Around Ye Lian, there were at least four zombies, and she was already tearing the head off one. These zombies wouldn't instinctively attack Ye Lian, but as Ling Mo appeared, the remaining three lunged at him.

Facing so many zombies for the first time, Ling Mo felt a knot of nervousness. Yet, as he raised his boning knife, the fury emanating from Ye Lian ignited a powerful will to fight within him.

With a growl, Ling Mo charged into the midst of the three zombies simultaneously.

Zombies possessed formidable strength, and they weren't as stiff as depicted in movies. However, as creatures driven by instinct, their attack patterns were relatively straightforward.

When one of the zombies lunged to grab Ling Mo, he slammed sideways. While evading this zombie's attack, his boning knife plunged into the stomach of another.

"Squelch!"

The sound of the blade piercing flesh echoed, but Ling Mo didn't have time to look back. He lifted his leg and kicked at the third zombie.

This zombie was sent flying directly towards Ye Lian. Before it could even regain its footing, Ye Lian effortlessly crushed its head.

Meanwhile, the zombie Ling Mo had dodged earlier was now back in front of him. Ling Mo, having just regained his balance, found himself in dire peril once more.

He hadn't fully withdrawn the knife from the first zombie's abdomen, and the second was already upon him, its hand slick with blood. If he were caught, escaping would be impossible.

Under the shadow of death, Ling Mo remained calm. He yanked the boning knife from the other zombie's stomach and slashed viciously at the attacking one, dragging the zombie impaled on the knife forward with him.

The two zombies collided. Ling Mo's boning knife, having already sliced through one's midsection, was unhesitatingly driven into the head of the other with a forceful twist.

Everything happened in a flash. When Ling Mo snapped out of his battle-induced fury, only zombie corpses littered the ground.

Only then did Ling Mo realize that he had not only demonstrated remarkable calmness but also an exceptional synchronization between his mental processing and physical reactions. While this might be attributed to his improved mental and physical conditioning, the overwhelming rage had undoubtedly played a significant role.

Most importantly, looking down at the corpses beneath his feet, clutching the blood-drenched boning knife, Ling Mo's body trembled slightly. This wasn't fear; it was exhilaration....

By now, Ye Lian had consumed the gels from the zombies, and her eyes shone brighter, appearing more intelligent. Were it not for the eerie redness, she would have seemed no different from ordinary survivors.

Curiously, as Ye Lian underwent these changes, Ling Mo also felt a subtle shift within his own body.

A subtle yet undeniable enhancement in his power was felt by Ling Mo, accompanied by a recovery of spent strength. Most importantly, his connection with Ye Lian had deepened significantly.

Ling Mo pondered if Ye Lian’s continued mutations were influencing him due to their bond. He couldn't conceive of a more suitable explanation for these changes.

While initially uncertain about the nature of these developments, Ling Mo found himself exhilarated by the transformations he was experiencing.

His consciousness remained unaffected, yet he could grow stronger alongside Ye Lian! This prospect filled Ling Mo with anticipation. However, he was acutely aware that hastening this process could prove detrimental, and he dreaded the thought of it bringing any danger to Ye Lian.

On their journey home, Ling Mo discovered a pristine set of clothes and a pair of sandals within a clothing boutique. His intention was to replace Ye Lian's blood-soaked attire.

He could tolerate the ghastly appearance of the zombie puppets, but Ye Lian, the epitome of cuteness and cleanliness, deserved better than to be clad in such soiled garments, even as a zombie.

Yet, upon arriving home and observing the still Ye Lian seated before him, Ling Mo found himself at a loss on how to proceed!

Whether he should command Ye Lian to disrobe herself or take the initiative, either approach meant confronting the body he had often fantasized about….

In the past, due to his perceived inadequacy, Ling Mo cherished Ye Lian secretly, never daring to confess his feelings or even imagine their relationship evolving. He was, after all, merely a reclusive, low-earning nerd, while Ye Lian stood as the most beautiful girl at X University, attracting numerous admirers.

But now, the necessity of changing her clothes demanded he gaze upon her form……

Despite Ye Lian currently lacking any semblance of consciousness, Ling Mo felt an intense nervousness that left his mouth parched.

His gaze flickered from the basin at his feet to the soiled Ye Lian. After a prolonged moment of hesitation, Ling Mo finally extended his hand, moving with deliberate slowness…

As button after button was unfastened, Ye Lian’s pallid skin was gradually revealed to Ling Mo’s view.

“Calm yourself, stay calm….it would be monstrous to take advantage of her in this state….”

Facing the woman he adored, it would be disingenuous to claim he felt no stirrings of desire. However, the sight of Ye Lian’s vacant, emotionless eyes pierced Ling Mo’s heart.

When, oh when, would he witness Ye Lian regain her lost consciousness….
