After being summoned to the Imperial Hotel by her fiancé Xu Junxi, Ning Qing arrived only to witness him in bed with another woman. This encounter occurred three years after an accident involving Xu Junxi and her half-sister Ning Yao caused a rift between Ning Qing and her fiancé. Disgraced and realizing she was set up to witness the infidelity, Ning Qing could not bear the humiliation.

The woman was taken aback that Ning Qing would approach her. With eyes full of challenge and scorn, she met Ning Qing's gaze. What was Ning Qing planning? To cause a scene or to start a physical altercation? Frankly, her inaction would have been more concerning.

As she observed Ning Qing more closely, she noticed that the woman had stopped a mere two steps away, a faint smirk playing on her lips.

Ning Qing's stare seemed to convey, 'I'm here to observe. You should put on a better show!'

This public display left the woman feeling utterly humiliated, her face flushing with embarrassment. Hastily, she latched onto Xu Junxi, her voice dripping with flirtation, “Mister Xu, do look at your fiancée…”

Xu Junxi paused his actions the moment Ning Qing entered his view, intrigued by her eventual response.

Any ordinary woman, upon discovering their fiancé's infidelity, would typically flee in tears or erupt in a dramatic, hysterical outburst. Yet, Ning Qing remained remarkably composed, standing silently.

It was clear she lived up to her reputation as T City's premier socialite, possessing a formidable inner strength. Over the past three years, despite the constant humiliation inflicted by him and his mother, she had maintained an unwavering demeanor, neither overly proud nor subservient.

A sudden wave of dissatisfaction washed over Xu Junxi, and his expression turned grim. He scoffed dismissively, inquiring, “Why are you just standing there?”

Ning Qing tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, her voice carrying an elegant tone. “Since you invited me, I've come to be a supportive spectator.”

A subtle smile graced Ning Qing's lips, enhancing her beauty. Reaching into her handbag, she retrieved her phone and declared, “Perhaps I should capture this moment? The CEO of Emperor Entertainment Group and the current trending model, caught in a compromising situation. A photo like this, if leaked, would surely land you both on the front page.”

“You...” The model was stunned by Ning Qing's bluntness, her sharp words cutting directly to the conflict of interest between Xu Junxi and her career, threatening to derail her future.

“Get off me, now!” Xu Junxi roared at the model, his gaze fixed intently on Ning Qing while he remained seated on the sofa.

The potential exposure of the photograph would undoubtedly incite a major scandal. His board members would be furious, not to mention his father’s inevitable wrath.

When weighed against his professional standing, what was a mere model to him?

The model dared not defy Xu Junxi’s command. With a resentful glance towards Ning Qing, she exited the room.

Now alone, Xu Junxi snatched Ning Qing's phone. He distinctly recalled the camera's shutter sound and harbored a grim certainty that she was capable of anything.

His immediate instinct was to delete the supposed incriminating evidence. However, upon inspecting the device, he found only a picture of the sofa's corner, its deep maroon upholstery the sole subject.

He paused, his eyes finally settling on Ning Qing.

A subtle chill emanated from Ning Qing's exquisite eyes. A flicker of disappointment, perhaps even sadness, was visible. Yet, her commanding gaze exuded an air of proud aloofness as she met his stare with perfect calm.

Xu Junxi found himself momentarily paralyzed.

Ning Qing extended a slender arm, placing the paper bag onto the sofa. Her voice was soft as she stated, “The clothes you desired, I’ve brought them here… Farewell.”

Offering no further words, she turned to depart.

Xu Junxi couldn't pinpoint the exact reason for the sudden pang in his chest. He watched Ning Qing’s retreating figure, a molten rage igniting within him. This was typical of her behavior over the past three years. She never displayed jealousy or initiated conflict, nor did she ever succumb to tears.

As Ning Qing neared the door, a hand suddenly seized her delicate wrist. With considerable force, Xu Junxi slammed her against the wall, pressing his body against hers.

He roughly grazed her flushed lips with his calloused thumb, a malicious grin spreading across his face. “Ning Qing,” he sneered, “Don't you dare presume you're superior to anyone. You're unhappy because I haven't touched you, aren't you? Allow me to remedy that right now.”
