My Celestial Ascension Chapter 960: Yuan’s Rage
Previously on My Celestial Ascension...
Vrasha’s sword sliced straight through the Death Worms’ thick armor, cleaving their massive bodies into two and taking their lives instantly.
The entire battlefield was painted crimson with the blood of the gigantic creatures that had crawled out from beneath the desert.
The air grew heavy with the thick scent of fresh blood, while the organs and corpses of the Death Worms lay scattered throughout the battlefield.
After witnessing the slaughter of his Death Worms, the Undead King felt as though the ground beneath his feet had disappeared.
His mind had fallen into complete chaos. Not only had his millions of undead soldiers been annihilated, but even his army of Undead Dragons had been wiped out entirely.
And now, his Death Worms were being slaughtered right before his eyes. What shocked him the most was how effortlessly they were being defeated.
’H-How in the world is this even possible?!?!’ he screamed inwardly, his mentality nearly collapsing from sheer shock.
The Death Worms were considered the most terrifying creatures of the desert—nearly impossible to kill. And yet, they were now being butchered before his eyes like livestock.
"Shocking, isn’t it? You were acting rather arrogant a moment ago, weren’t you?"
Suddenly, a chilling voice echoed from behind him, instantly snapping him out of his stupor. He immediately turned toward the source of the voice.
There he saw Anna Grace standing calmly in the air with an elegant posture. A playful smirk rested on her face—the very thing that irritated him the most.
"I wonder where all that arrogance from earlier disappeared to... You look utterly pathetic now. A complete failure... how disgraceful." Anna Grace sneered mockingly, her words cutting sharply through the chaos of the battlefield.
The Undead King clenched his fists tightly as the flames within his eye sockets burned even hotter, his aura suddenly becoming far more dangerous.
Yet he still didn’t say a single word. He remained silent, boiling internally as he felt his pride shatter into pieces.
"Oh my... Did I strike a nerve or something? Ahahahah~" Anna Grace giggled softly, openly mocking the Undead King before her.
Hearing her laughter, the Undead King’s fury reached its limit. At that moment, all he wanted was to kill the insolent woman humiliating him.
"SHUT YOUR DAMN MOUTH!!" The Undead King roared at the top of his lungs—despite not even possessing lungs to begin with.
A powerful arc of crimson lightning burst from his hands, causing the very air to tremble from the terrifying power contained within it.
BANG! With a deafening explosion, the lightning shot toward Anna Grace at such incredible speed that it reached her in the blink of an eye.
’So fast!’ Anna Grace’s eyes widened slightly in surprise as her instincts screamed at her to dodge immediately.
However, she didn’t move even a single inch from her position, her expression remaining calm despite the overwhelming attack rushing toward her.
’Heh... die, you insolent woman...’ The Undead King smirked the moment he saw Anna Grace remain motionless.
BOOOOMMMMM!!!!
A massive explosion erupted across the battlefield the instant the lightning struck Anna Grace, turning the sky crimson for several seconds.
The resulting shockwaves were so powerful that many people were sent flying across the battlefield, while others felt intense pain explode inside their heads.
The explosion also drew the attention of Yuan and the others, who had been busy slaughtering the Death Worms. Fortunately, none of them were harmed by the shockwave.
However, Yuan’s expression instantly darkened the moment he saw his beloved mother engulfed by the Undead King’s lightning attack.
"Damn that pile of bones... How dare he attack my mother..." Yuan muttered coldly, his aura immediately turning dangerous.
The massive sword in his hand trembled as Yuan infused it with a huge amount of Spiritual Energy and Sword Aura.
"One Sword One Strike!!" Yuan roared as he swung his sword at the Death Worms with a furious look on his face.
Swish! A huge arc of Sword Aura headed straight toward the Death Worms and instantly sliced through more than fifty Death Worms in the blink of an eye.
And he didn’t stop there. He continued his relentless assault on the Death Worms, fueled by his anger and concern for the safety of his beloved mother.
Ten... Twenty... Fifty... Hundred... Two hundred... He slaughtered the entire army of Death Worms until only a single Death Worm remained on the battlefield.
His body was soaked in the blood of the Death Worms, making him look like a monster that had bathed in blood, and his appearance was terrifying.
The allied forces watched his appearance with fear in their hearts, as they had never seen anything like this before—not even close.
His current appearance terrified them to the core. He appeared like an absolute monster. And what was even more terrifying was his strength...which was far beyond their imagination.
"So this is how you look when you are enraged... It makes my body feel all tingly..." Nerith muttered in a low voice with a lovestruck look on her face.
She could feel an electrifying sensation coursing through her body...especially in the lower part of it.
"He looks magnificent... Ah~ I just want to jump at him right this moment~~~" Isolde added in a seductive voice, her hands tracing her own body in a way she had never done before.
"..."
However, upon realizing that they had spoken their thoughts out loud and heard each other’s desires, they immediately became embarrassed.
Meanwhile, Anna Grace emerged from the explosion without a single injury on her body. She appeared perfectly fine.
Furthermore, she looked very calm, as if nothing had happened at all.
This shocked the Undead King to the core.
He had expected his attack to do some serious damage or even cripple the insolent woman before him. However, reality turned out to be completely different from what he had imagined.
’T-This must be a joke... How the hell did she survive that attack?!?!’ He screamed inwardly, his entire body trembling from sheer disbelief.
"It doesn’t make any sense..." he muttered in disbelief, as though he had gone mad.
"Was that all? Can’t you put more power behind that attack? What a disappointment..." Anna Grace spoke, her voice sending a chill down the Undead King’s spine.
She had expected to receive at least some minor damage from the attack since her senses had been screaming at her to dodge. But to her surprise, her body endured the attack without sustaining even the slightest scratch.
’It seems that my body is far stronger than I imagined... Cultivation is truly a miraculous thing...’ she thought.
And just then, her eyes landed on a figure covered in blood and surrounded by hundreds of corpses of the Death Worms.
’It seems my actions made him worry... I should have thought about this before doing something so reckless...’ She sighed inwardly, feeling a pang of guilt for making her dear son worry about her safety.
Then she shifted her focus back toward the Undead King, and her expression immediately became serious.
’I’ll end this swiftly and quickly...’
Instantly, the atmosphere around her became heavy—so heavy that the Undead King felt as though his joints had fused together, making it impossible for him to move.
"W-What did you do to me...?" he asked, completely puzzled by the situation.
"What did I do? I didn’t do anything... but I’m about to." Anna Grace replied with a deadly smile on her face, gripping the sword firmly with both hands.
"I haven’t had the chance to use this technique before... but now I want to see how powerful this sword technique of mine truly is..."
"The Gentle Blade of Falling Flowers..." she muttered softly, and her sword moved as gently as a falling flower carried by the wind.
Slash! Just before the sword sliced through his dark bones, the Undead King saw a field of flowers moments before the core inside his chest was destroyed.
