My Celestial Ascension Chapter 1000: The Goddess Of Water Appeared
Previously on My Celestial Ascension...
"The device is perfectly fine despite being buried under a building for such a long time. But it hasn’t been used for a long time, so we need to feed it a large amount of Spiritual Energy."
Long Yuyan reported after tinkering with it for a couple of moments, looking for any flaws in the device. However, she didn’t find any flaws or damaged parts.
The formations were still perfectly intact. In fact, she was surprised to find that the teleportation device had survived for such a long time despite not being used.
"Can we speed up the process?" Yuan asked, raising his eyebrows slightly.
"Of course, we can," Long Yuyan nodded, then sighed softly. "However, the requirements are not like the formations from before. Unlike the formations I’ve created, these formations are exceptionally powerful and complex."
"Tell me the amount," Yuan said.
"Around a hundred thousand High Grade Spirit Stones. If you have that amount, I can immediately activate the device." Long Yuyan replied calmly, as though the amount were nothing to her.
"..."
Yuan’s mouth opened wide upon hearing the ridiculous amount of Spirit Stones required to activate the device.
’I only have about twenty thousand High Grade Spirit Stones... Where am I going to find so many of them?!’ He cried inwardly, seemingly in disbelief at the absurd amount.
"That’s a ridiculous amount... I’m afraid I don’t have that kind of wealth with me." Yuan paused for a moment and added, "Not at the moment, at least, but in the future, I can’t say much."
"Of course you wouldn’t have that kind of wealth in a world devoid of cultivation... However, it’s not like we have no way of activating the device." Long Yuyan said.
With a soft smile, she continued, "The device will gather the energy required to operate by itself. Unlike a normal teleportation device that requires a huge amount of Spirit Stones for each use, this device is very different."
"And why is that?" Yuan asked, narrowing his eyes slightly.
"Because this teleportation device works with another one. It cannot teleport a person to a random location; you must have another identical device in another place to teleport."
And she continued, "Furthermore, these devices weren’t created by humans... they were created by the Divine Beasts to honor the Supreme Beasts."
"The Supreme Beasts... So, is this their resting place or something?" Yuan asked, a puzzled look on his face.
The term fascinated Yuan immediately, as this was his first time hearing about Supreme Beasts. Could they be stronger than Divine Beasts? Or Primordial Beasts?
Long Yuyan shook her head and explained, "Not really... It’s more like they made this island to honor them, as they are the strongest beasts in the entire world, comparable to gods. Many even refer to them as gods."
"Are they stronger than Primordial Beasts?"
"They were Divine Beasts with the purest bloodlines and cultivation. They were Primordial Beasts. But their strength surpassed that of ordinary Divine Beasts."
She then looked at Fang Xiaoyan and Xi Meili and said, "Both Lady Xi Meili and Lady Fang Xiaoyan are Primordial Beasts... they have the purest bloodlines of Divine Beasts from their respective lineages. One day, they may be revered as Supreme Beasts in the future."
"I see..." Yuan nodded softly. "So, how long will it take for the device to be fully usable?"
"Not long. Within a week, it will be ready to operate." Long Yuyan replied with a smile.
"A week, huh?" Yuan pondered for a while and looked at Rose, Julie, and Ava.
With a soft smile on his face, Yuan said, "How about we go back to your house and see how your family is doing over there?"
Rose, Julie, and Ava immediately became surprised as this suddenly came out of nowhere. They immediately became excited and happy.
"That’s amazing! I really miss my mom!" Julie exclaimed with an excited smile.
Nodding with a smile, Ava added, "Me too! I wonder how they’re doing now and how the village is doing."
"So, when will we be going, then?" Rose asked, a soft smile on her face, barely containing her excitement to reunite with her family after so long.
"After we are done here and meet with the Imperial Family. We have to inform them of the situation." Yuan replied, then looked at the massive teleportation device with a dazed smile on his face.
’Lulu... just wait for me there. We will soon reunite...’ Yuan muttered in his mind as he released a soft sigh.
Shortly, the strange circle began to let out a faint glow as part of the floor rose into the sky. The ring-like structure immediately began absorbing a huge amount of Spiritual Energy from the air.
The entire floating island started shaking like an earthquake, and the angels and remaining people immediately became startled by the shaking.
"What is happening?"
"Is the Heaven going to crumble now?"
The people were terrified by the shaking, since something like this had never happened before, as far as they knew.
Unlike the rest of the world, the High Heaven had never experienced an earthquake, but now that the ground had started shaking all of a sudden, everyone became concerned.
Meanwhile, inside a luxurious mansion, a woman was sipping tea while sitting comfortably on the sofa when the sudden tremor spilled her tea onto her dress.
"What the hell is happening?!" She roared in fury as she got up from the sofa and felt the burn on her skin.
Just then, an angel urgently entered the room with a terrified look on her face.
"Your Highness! Something big has happened!!"
"The palace has completely disappeared! It was burned by a strange fire, vanishing in just a few minutes!!"
The angel informed her about the situation outside, her voice sounding like thunder.
The Goddess of Water immediately became shocked upon hearing this, completely forgetting the burning sensation.
"W-What did you just say?!?! The palace has been destroyed?! Impossible!!!" The Goddess exclaimed in disbelief, her eyes immediately widening.
’Impossible! How could the palace be destroyed? Weren’t all the ancient gods fighting the intruders? Could someone have managed to slip in and destroy the palace?’ Many thoughts appeared in her mind as she contemplated the situation.
"Order everyone to get ready! We must capture the intruder who destroyed the palace and bring justice!" She ordered her servants.
’Damn those fools... they can’t even handle a few lowly mortals...’ She cursed inwardly, fuming with rage.
’And now I have to clean up their mess... I’ll make sure to make His Majesty compensate me later for giving me so much headache...’
Shortly, she left the mansion with her servants to see if the angel’s claim was true or not. Furthermore, from the earthquake alone, she understood that something big had happened in the High Heaven.
—
The Goddess of Light and Justice knelt on the ground, her eyes glued to the massive ring of metal hovering in the air above the circle on the ground.
’How do these people know how to use this ancient technology? We’ve tried countless methods, yet none of them worked... How is this even possible?’ She cried inwardly, seemingly in disbelief.
Selvariel noticed the odd look on the Goddess’s face and approached her.
Despite the fact that she was an enemy now, it didn’t change the fact that the Goddess before her was once her mentor.
She felt a pang of pity for the Goddess, seeing how broken she looked and how she had been reduced to this state by Anna Grace and the others.
"Selvariel... Tell me... What did we do wrong to deserve this?" The Goddess asked, her voice weak. She no longer had that arrogant and proud look on her face.
"Everything," Selvariel replied in a single word, feeling pity for her mentor’s current state.
After a moment of pause, Selvariel continued, "We shouldn’t have provoked a monster like him... He spared me for some reason and took me as a hostage. However, now I’ve fallen in love with him."
"I’m now one of them... and I don’t regret my choice one bit. In fact, I’m currently very happy with my life. Despite the past events, he loves me dearly and takes great care of me." Selvariel smiled as she said that, a genuine smile of happiness.
"I see... I feel good knowing that you’re in good hands, Selvariel." The Goddess smiled weakly.
BOOOMMM!!
A massive explosion of magical power erupted, drawing everyone’s attention toward its source. A massive silhouette of a dragon appeared in the sky, its body made entirely of water.
"WHO DARED TO DESTROY THE PALACE?!" A loud roar resounded across the area as a woman with blue hair appeared.
A large group of angels followed her from behind, and the woman looked furious as she saw the place where the palace once stood.
"Oh... The prey has decided to come out of its cave on its own... This makes it much easier for me to finish the job." A wide grin appeared on Yuan’s face as he faced the woman with confidence.
"A prey, you say? Well, you sure talk big for a mere mortal." The Goddess of Water’s face twisted into a terrifying smile as she replied.
"Now prepare to die, mortal! Water Dragon’s Wrath!!" She shouted as a huge amount of Mana exploded from her body, her eyes burning with rage.
Roarrr!!
The Water Dragon let out a terrifying roar before charging at Yuan, opening its mouth wide to swallow him and chew his bones.
However, Yuan remained composed. Since the Dragon was made of water, he could easily destroy it even at the last moment.
Slash! A loud metallic sound resounded across the area. It was a crisp and sharp sound that was impossible to miss.
