Huang Shan warns Mo Wenwan about Qin Miaomiao's growing influence. Later, Mo Wenwan meets Qin Miaomiao, expecting competition, but is surprised when Qin Miaomiao proposes a film collaboration, offering novels as potential IP.

With a curious gaze, she looked into the other woman’s eyes, deep in thought, and then inquired, "So, what’s your assessment?"

Mo Wenwan observed Qin Miaomiao, her demeanor decidedly serious and resolute, a spark of confidence gleaming in her eyes. She stated earnestly, "It is indeed a project worth investing in. If the script is executed flawlessly and the post-production is strong, it has the potential to become a massive success."

Deep down, Mo Wenwan felt a pang of jealousy towards Qin Miaomiao. She surmised that even if Qin Miaomiao faced financial limitations, her connections and powerful backing would swiftly turn the tide. Lu Qing himself had extended the invitation, and despite the company’s uncertain future, Old Sir Lu had always prioritized Lu Qing. This made Mo Wenwan intensely envious of Qin Miaomiao.

The more she contemplated this, the more uneasy she became. Gazing at Qin Miaomiao, she forced a smile and remarked, "It appears your foresight exceeds my expectations. Is Mr. Lu the one subtly guiding you from behind the scenes?"

Qin Miaomiao let out a sudden laugh.

Watching Mo Wenwan, her expression shifted, revealing a hint of unease. She understood that Mo Wenwan was undoubtedly feeling resentful and had deliberately mentioned Lu Qing to undermine her capabilities. However, Qin Miaomiao remained unfazed by this. Instead, she leaned back against the sofa and proposed, "I wonder if you might be interested in taking a share of this venture."

"You are truly willing to let me have a piece of the pie?"

Mo Wenwan found it hard to believe such a generous offer was on the table, especially since she was unaware of the project's budget. While Lu Qing supported her, and she had Li Li's backing, convincing Lu Qing was not guaranteed, compelling her to explore alternative strategies.

"I'm uncertain about your company's investment criteria, but your artists have been exceptionally popular recently, so funding a single project should not pose a significant challenge. I recall President Li having a strong interest in major IPs; perhaps you might consider consulting with him."

"Miss Qin, you seem to be underestimating my capabilities. Is it truly necessary to involve President Li for a mere project? Furthermore, you approached me for collaboration, not to undertake this endeavor alone. If your intentions are genuine, we can certainly discuss the specifics."

"Since Miss Mo brings it up, it seems my earlier concerns were unfounded."

Qin Miaomiao spoke, her eyes fixed on the prize she had already secured. A subtle, knowing smile graced the corners of her lips. As she observed Mo Wenwan, memories of the novel she had previously acquired resurfaced in her mind.

"Let's proceed. I will briefly outline my thoughts and strategic plans."

Lu Qing examined the reports he held, their appearance unchanged. The crucial difference was that the individual who had compiled them was Lu Xing, not someone else. As his gaze traced Lu Xing's distinctive handwriting, a cascade of thoughts formed. He contemplated Lu Xing's persistent submission of detailed reports, clearly an effort to showcase his expertise and attract favorable attention.

Despite his dislike for Lu Xing's overt displays, there was an ulterior motive at play.

"Perhaps allowing him to continue his ostentatious efforts will inadvertently reveal further complications."

Lu Qing murmured to himself, envisioning Lu Xing's conceited habit of showing off potentially leading to his own public humiliation. At that juncture, observing from the sidelines would suffice, dismissing all other concerns. The evidence was clear from his eagerness and frequent visits to the family estate.

"It's possible he has already formed secret alliances, plotting how to gain favor with grandfather and seize the opportunity for a larger share. Their schemes are elaborate, but one can never truly fathom their underlying intentions."

Lu Qing still harbored no affection for that supposed father. Unlike his initial resentment, Lu Xing's present actions were undoubtedly influenced or directed by him. Otherwise, given Lu Xing's lack of familiarity with the company's operations, his rapid integration would have been improbable.

"I am eager to discover what other futile schemes Lu Xing has devised."
