My attributes are increasing infinitely Chapter 400: Ragnarok evolved
Previously on My attributes are increasing infinitely...
Ethan stood at the heart of his realm, "Primordia," observing the unfolding events.
"Little girl, you should have escaped this world when you had the chance," Ethan remarked with an icy tone.
The vampire princess, Selene Alucard, was savoring every second of the cruelty she inflicted.
Turning her gaze toward Ragnarok, her expression contorted into a jagged, manic grin.
"Your master abandoned you to be tormented while he fled," she mocked, looking down at Ragnarok, who remained crushed under the weight of her gravity magic.
"Do you want to be my pet? If you grovel and lick my boots, I might consider releasing you."
Ragnarok’s face was shoved into the soil, yet his golden eyes blazed with a defiance that no amount of agony could extinguish.
"Torture me as much as you please," he rasped, his voice sounding like the grinding of heavy stones.
"An Ancient demon pledges loyalty to only one master in a lifetime. You... you could never be him."
"How tedious!" Selene whispered calmly.
She slammed a kick into his ribs, the audible snap of breaking bone echoing across the clearing.
She stared down at him with utter contempt.
"You carry the bloodline of the Origin Demon race. It is diluted and pathetic, but it exists. My intention was to take you as a pet and cultivate that lineage."
"Just think... I could boast to those arrogant fools that a Demon is my lapdog. It would be quite entertaining, wouldn’t it? Hahahaha!"
Her assault was not merely physical.
She utilized her mental strength to rip apart his soul.
A scream of pure, unadulterated agony escaped Ragnarok, tearing through the surrounding forest.
Ethan remained stationary.
He merely snapped his fingers.
A lone droplet of blood manifested at the tip of his finger.
It was not red.
Instead, it was a deep, swirling gold, vibrating with the essence of a hundred million plundered destinies.
The droplet streaked through the air and merged into Ragnarok’s neck.
This went far beyond simple healing.
By bestowing his blood, Ethan was formally appointing Ragnarok as one of his Five Generals—beings destined to stand beside him until the end of time.
As the blood reached Ragnarok’s heart, time itself seemed to freeze.
Ragnarok’s eyes snapped open.
A violent eruption of power surged from him, hurling Selene back several hundred feet.
Ragnarok’s Cultivation did not merely increase.
It soared.
He reached the Progenitor realm in an instant.
A second later, he broke through into the Primordial realm.
The surrounding energy grew so thick it manifested as bolts of black lightning.
Selene scrambled to her feet, her face drained of color.
For the first time ever, she experienced a soul-chilling terror.
"What... what is happening?"
She attempted to raise her hand to strike, hoping to kill him before the transformation finished.
However, a shimmering golden barrier formed around Ragnarok.
Her strike collided with the shield and shattered like glass.
Though the vampire girl was a Genesis realm entity—effectively a goddess in this small world—she was insignificant before Ethan, and her power could not scratch his barrier.
Ragnarok’s aura continued its ascent.
It surpassed the Genesis realm before finally settling at the Axiom Dominion Realm.
Then, the true transformation commenced.
The thin Origin Demon blood within Ragnarok began to thicken and boil.
He was no longer a mere hybrid.
He was evolving into a manifestation of Law.
The Law of Darkness flooded into his being.
His frame expanded.
Obsidian scales replaced his skin.
Two gargantuan wings of absolute shadow burst from his back, wide enough to shroud the sun.
His features shifted into a mask of terrifying, demonic royalty.
Selene shook so violently she could barely remain upright.
"Impossible... a Demon Count form? How? Only high-born nobles of the Origin Demon race can achieve that! How can a lowly hybrid reach the rank of Count?"
Ragnarok rose.
Standing ten feet tall, he was a titan of darkness.
He looked down at Selene as if she were a common insect.
That gaze shattered her.
Her royal arrogance clashed with her mounting dread.
"You... you've left me no choice!" she shrieked, her eyes turning cold.
She grabbed the pendant hanging from her neck and crushed it.
BOOM!
A suffocating pressure erupted from the ruined jewelry.
It was the protective soul fragment of her grandfather, an Eternal Sovereign.
Ragnarok didn’t flinch.
Extending a clawed hand, he seized Selene by the throat and dangled her in the air like a helpless bird.
He was fueled by a fury that had simmered for days.
He was aware his Master was watching.
He knew he was protected.
And he craved retribution.
The Duke’s soul fragment materialized in the air.
It was a massive, ethereal figure of a handsome man with crimson eyes.
"How dare you lay hands on my granddaughter? Release her this moment, and I might leave your corpse in one piece!"
The pressure alone was sufficient to slay a Primordial with ease.
But Ethan stepped forward.
With a fluid motion, Ethan unsheathed the Sword of Infinity.
He didn't employ any complex technique.
He delivered a single slash.
The soul fragment, an entity at the Eternal Sovereign level, was wiped out as if it had never existed.
With his sword in hand, Ethan’s current power resided at the very summit of that realm.
A mere sliver of a soul meant nothing to him.
"Noooo!" Selene wailed.
Her final hope was snuffed out like a flickering candle.
She tried to trigger a second fragment, that of her father.
But the shock was overwhelming.
Her mind broke, and she began to babble and scream incoherently.
Ragnarok unhinged his massive jaws, prepared to devour her and end her life.
"Wait," Ethan commanded, appearing suddenly between the girl and the demon.
Ragnarok halted instantly.
"Master?"
"You may torture her," Ethan stated, his eyes as cold as ice.
"But she must not die. Not yet. I require her bloodline. The blood of an Original Race is far too precious to throw away."
"As you command, Master," Ragnarok growled.
He threw her to the ground and began using his newfound dark abilities to construct a cage of shadow around her soul, mirroring the very agony she had forced upon him.
Outside the primordial beast, millions of miles away in the origin world, a man bolted upright on his throne.
Duke Alucard of the Genesis Vampire race roared in a fit of rage.
He felt his soul fragment get destroyed.
Someone had not only disregarded his warning but had annihilated a portion of his essence.
"I will track you down," he hissed.
He vanished from his throne room and reappeared in the "Garden," a vast territory where his clan kept trillions of beings as "livestock."
He couldn't immediately identify which beast contained his granddaughter because Ethan had concealed the aura.
However, the Duke was an Eternal Sovereign.
He had no concern for collateral damage.
With a wave of his hand, a vacuum of power pulled trillions of creatures toward him.
He began inspecting their inner worlds one by one, obliterating any that failed to please him.
Inside the beast, Ethan clicked his tongue in annoyance.
"It seems that fool has a death wish."
Ethan was aware he wasn't yet prepared to take on the entire Vampire race.
Their Progenitor was a Source Authority realm expert, someone capable of reshaping fate at will.
If Ethan emerged now, he would be overwhelmed.
But he didn't need to leave to strike back.
The Sword of Infinity could sever through dimensions and timelines.
Ethan shut his eyes, tracking the Duke’s location through the link of the broken soul fragment.
He swung his blade.
A beam of radiant white light cut through the spatial rift.
It exited the primordial beast's body, bypassed the physical plane, and struck the Duke squarely in the chest.
The Duke didn't even have time to cry out.
His "Source," the foundation of his power, was fractured.
He collapsed onto the grass of his garden, unconscious and leaking golden blood.
Ethan then shifted his focus to the primordial creature they currently inhabited.
The massive beast was shivering.
It could feel the conflict raging in its gut and the deities clashing on its skin.
"I am a being from your internal universe," Ethan transmitted a mental message to the beast's soul.
"I have no wish for you to die. You must flee from this garden."
"I... I cannot," the creature whimpered.
"Every one of us bears the Alucard family's Soul Seal. If I attempt to escape, they will simply trigger it and I will be destroyed."
"I can sever the soul seal; you only need to run," he answered.
Ethan swung his sword once more.
This time, the blow was invisible.
It didn't slice through flesh.
It severed the spiritual bonds tethering the creature to the Alucard clan.
For the first time in millennia, the primordial beast felt a massive burden lift from its soul.
It was unbound.
"Thank you," the creature whispered.
Without a moment's delay, the beast vanished into the void, soaring toward the Great Forest—a lawless region that even the Alucard family avoided.
Ethan exhaled with relief.
He looked back at Ragnarok, who was methodically dismantling Selene’s spirit.
"Keep her alive," Ethan reminded him.
"And no sexual torture."
With those words, Ethan walked away and stepped back into the time field.
