My attributes are increasing infinitely Chapter 389: Progenitor of the Human race

Previously on My attributes are increasing infinitely...
Ethan Hunt, weary of the Eternal Domain's control, traveled across realities for a month, absorbing the bloodlines of two thousand candidates to evolve his Omni-Bloodline. When the system restricted his travel, he decided to shatter its rules instead of playing by them. He began drafting a new cultivation system to cancel all 3,000 fundamental laws of existence, replacing them with an Unbounded Law of Infinity. As he finalized his plan, the Space Cube evolved into a Chaos Rank Artifact, "Void Heart of the Beginning," granting him 10% authority of the Throne of Destiny.

"Nini, explain your current capabilities to me," Ethan commanded.

"Master, I now possess an internal capacity equivalent to the personal space of a Primordial entity.

Furthermore, the time field is now capable of accelerating the flow of time by a factor of one hundred thousand.

I am also able to shield you from the prying senses of any being up to two major realms above your own current level."

Ethan was momentarily speechless upon hearing her report.

"Are you telling me that because you are fused with my origin, you can hide me from anyone two realms stronger than me? Since I am currently at the Emperor level, that means you can already obstruct the gaze of a Primordial. And if I reach the Progenitor realm, does that mean you could even block a Genesis realm existence?"

"That is correct, Master. However, there is likely a ceiling to this power, though I will have to personally verify where that limit lies," Nini replied in a soft tone.

"Regardless, that is more than sufficient. I shall utilize your time field first."

Just as Ethan prepared to step into the space cube, a sudden rift manifested beneath him, and he plummeted directly into it.

Although he could have easily fought against the suction, he chose to let it happen. He was curious to see where this would lead.

A moment later, Ethan found himself standing inside a cavern. The space was cramped, silent, and narrow, appearing as though it had been abandoned for aeons.

At the deepest part of the cave, a figure sat in a meditative cross-legged position.

The body was unmistakably a corpse, yet it vibrated with faint, lingering traces of life force.

Ethan moved toward the body with caution.

The instant he crossed an invisible perimeter roughly five meters from the corpse, his entire body was violently crushed into the floor.

The sheer pressure radiating from the dead body was so immense that Ethan could not even fathom the realm of its owner.

Blood began to seep from his eyes, nose, and mouth.

For the first time in a very long period, Ethan felt the cold grip of true mortality.

"Is this how I end? Like a pathetic worm, slaughtered by nothing more than the residual aura of a higher being's corpse?"

He refused to submit to such a fate.

Just as he began to feel the onset of despair, the crushing weight vanished instantly.

Ethan forced himself up from the ground. His wounds closed in seconds, vanishing as if the trauma had never occurred.

Above the remains, a shimmering soul projection began to manifest.

"Greetings. I apologize for the rough manner in which I summoned you. My name is Edrin Solace. It is an honor to meet you," the spirit introduced itself gently.

Ethan remained composed. He knew that incredibly powerful cultivators often left behind soul fragments to act as sentinels, messengers, or vessels for their remaining will.

"I am Ethan Hunt," he answered steadily. "What was your reason for bringing me here?"

"Your soul carries the Aura of Oblivion. I detected its presence the moment you arrived on this world."

"The Aura of Oblivion?" Ethan asked with a frown. "What exactly is that?"

"Did you not recently face a mysterious red eye that sought to end your life?" the soul inquired softly.

Ethan’s pupils dilated in shock.

"How could you possibly know about that?"

"Because I went through a similar ordeal," Edrin replied, a faint smile touching his lips.

"So you are aware of its identity?" Ethan asked, his gaze turning sharp and icy.

"I more than know of it; I once tried to escape this prison long ago. That is why I was struck down."

"What was your cultivation level?" Ethan questioned.

"I had attained the Source Authority Realm. That is six full realms beyond the Progenitor Realm. Even then, there is one final stage within this prison: the Absolute Continuum Realm."

Ethan took a sharp breath of cold air.

"Is power truly finite? Then my previous assumption was incorrect. I thought Cultivation was an infinite progression, but that there was simply a barrier preventing one from moving forward."

"Oh?" Edrin looked at him with renewed interest. "You formulated such a theory on your own while at such a low realm? You are quite the anomaly. Your deduction was nearly right, but it contained one error."

"An error?" Ethan asked.

"Realms are not infinite. They are strictly defined."

"The Absolute Continuum Realm is the peak, and it is occupied by only two beings. Their strength grows without end, but no one else is permitted to reach that height. They are the anchors holding this cage together."

"And they also act as the judges."

"The red eye you saw is known as the One Above All. He is the Absolute Continuum Being governing the positive plane. He has placed a mark of death upon you," the soul stated grimly.

"So these two bastards prevent anyone from reaching the Absolute Continuum Realm, much less escaping this entire system? Is that the reality?" Ethan asked with a cold tone.

"Precisely. I made the attempt despite the warnings I received. Consequently, he destroyed me. However, I established this inheritance long before my end and severed it from my own karma."

"You said you made the attempt. That implies you found a path," Ethan noted. "What was it?"

"If you hear my words, you will take on my karma along with your own," Edrin warned. "Do you still wish to proceed?"

"Yes," Ethan replied, not hesitating for a second.

"Very well."

Edrin signaled for Ethan to sit. The two of them sat across from each other in silence.

"To break free from this cage, two requirements must be met. First, you must manifest a law that does not belong to the three thousand known laws. Second, you must bring a new race into existence."

"Through eons of study, I realized that the three thousand laws were each birthed by three thousand distinct beings."

"I suspect those beings reside outside this prison."

"Each one of them has a race of their own. I concluded this after studying every race within this world."

"There are roughly two thousand nine hundred original races here. Every other race is merely a branch of those originals."

"I believe the remaining one hundred are located elsewhere, beyond my reach."

"Each original race is the embodiment of a single law."

"That is why I birthed the human race. I created a race that could potentially hold any law."

"My plan was to eventually weave my own unique law into them once I perfected it."

"But I met with failure."

"I could never successfully create my own law. My persistent efforts drew the ire of the One Above All, and he executed me."

"This is why the human race is loathed by all of existence. They are under constant surveillance because of their limitless potential."

Edrin fell into a long silence.

Ethan sat motionless, his thoughts racing.

He was in the presence of the very creator of humanity.

"So the path requires me to create a race of my own, one that carries only my unique law," Ethan summarized slowly.

"That is my theory," Edrin answered. "But judging by how they reacted to me, it is likely the truth."

"However, simply creating a race is not enough. That race must be able to compete with the original races. Every member of those races is born at a level beyond the Primordial Realm."

Ethan felt a wave of dizziness.

He was still merely at the Emperor level.

Suddenly, a specific memory came to him.

The woman who had previously attacked him.

She identified herself as belonging to the Genesis Vampire Race.

That must be one of the original races.

Their essence was likely tied to the Law of Blood.

"You are contemplating the creation of a new race," Edrin remarked softly. "Why not aim higher?"

"Become the true ancestor of all humanity and transform them into an origin race."

"I can see that your potential far exceeds anything I ever possessed."
