Han Yan despairs as her sacrificial pet weakens, but Sikong Qinglan intervenes with a rare Divine Art, the "Life Hymn," reviving the creature and the surrounding land. Afterward, they discover a peculiar black stone slab with a pool of pristine spring water in the pit dug by the pet, hinting at a greater mystery.

"Why does it look like a turtle shell?" Ling Baobao knocked on it twice and said with a curious expression.

"Let’s take it back first." Han Yan couldn’t tell if the stone slab was naturally formed or man-carved, so she decided to take it back and study it slowly.

While speaking, she took out a water bag she carried with her and filled it with the spring water.

The red fruit that the Little Auspicious Beast ate earlier probably came from this spring water. Han Yan initially suspected it might be poisonous, but upon observing the beast’s symptoms later, it didn’t seem like poisoning at all but rather a kind of power the little creature couldn’t handle. Moreover, the spring water was crystal clear, without any impurities, and even exuded a sense of ethereal purity. Therefore, Han Yan speculated that the spring water also contained similar power and wouldn’t waste it easily.

Soon, the spring water was completely filled into the water bag without a drop left. Staring at the heavy stone slab resembling a giant turtle shell, Han Yan hesitated a bit. Her Star Plate space and Heart Meridian were merged, and she could use the Divine Sense without being constrained by the laws of the Divine Continent, so she could carry far more than just this stone slab, even a hundred more wouldn’t be a problem. However, her previous actions were already astonishing enough; if she were to reveal her Star Plate space, who knew if Sikong Qinglan would become suspicious.

As far as Han Yan knew, on the Divine Continent, not everyone was qualified to own a storage space magic artifact. Even someone like Chu Yanghe, the main priest, might not possess such a treasure. Other things could be attributed to talent and aptitude, but such a precious artifact had nothing to do with qualifications or the identity of being a descendant of the Mu Family.

Han Yan didn’t hesitate for long, as the next moment, Ling Baobao had already picked up the thick stone slab.

"Let’s go," Ling Baobao said spiritedly, his eyes still sparkling with golden star points.

Indeed, in addition to eating, this fellow was equally interested in money and treasures. Han Yan reckoned that if she didn’t let him carry the stone slab down the mountain, he might not even be able to walk.

If Han Yan wasn’t mistaken, Kang Qingyuan wanted to take over Sunrise Peak likely for this stone slab, or perhaps for the red fruit she held. After seeing the fate of the Little Auspicious Beast, she couldn’t dare to eat anything recklessly and carefully kept the red fruit. Han Yan’s group followed behind Ling Baobao.

With Ling Baobao carrying a thick stone slab resembling a huge turtle shell, only his head and two short legs were visible, making him look just like a big turtle, yet he was entirely unaware. As he walked, he swayed his head and wiggled his body proudly, making people unable to hold back their laughter.

"What are you laughing at?" Ling Baobao turned his head and asked upon hearing the snickers behind him.

"It’s nothing, nothing," Han Yan said, holding back her laughter, not bothering to remind him.

"So puzzling," Ling Baobao muttered as he continued to waddle quickly down the mountain with his turtle shell.

Down the mountain, the carriage they had hidden was still in its original place, undiscovered by anyone.

Upon seeing his ox cart, Sikong Qinglan heaved a long sigh of relief, as if a giant stone hanging over his heart had finally landed.

Han Yan shook her head silently, truly wondering how poor the Huayu Temple had become for him to be so anxious over a broken ox cart.

Driving the carriage, the group headed toward the Mu Family Village.

All along the way, Ling Baobao was studying the stone slab. Han Yan, worried about the safety of the Little Auspicious Beast, had no mind for cultivation and checked on it from time to time.

Fortunately, although it hadn’t woken up, there was nothing unusual felt from it, and Han Yan finally relaxed, starting to ponder the red fruit again. Yet the result was the same as before; no matter how she used her Divine Sense, she couldn’t detect anything special about the red fruit.

This fruit, exactly what is it? Why would Kang Qingyuan go to any length to seize it, and who was hidden behind him targeting it? Han Yan couldn’t figure it out no matter how hard she thought.

"Should I take a small bite and try it?" Han Yan’s heart was stirred, but she quickly dismissed the idea, not wanting to share the same fate as the Little Auspicious Beast.

"Master, we’ve arrived," Mu Tu’s excited voice rang out.

Slightly opening the curtain, Mu Family Village came into view; after traveling for another two days, it was now sunset, the golden sun gradually casting its light, adding an extra layer of peace and tranquility to the village.

Having crossed a thousand miles of wasteland and witnessed the plight of refugees, Han Yan realized how precious such peace and tranquility were for ordinary people of the Divine Continent.

As the sound of the approaching carriage reached the village, all the villagers came to the entrance to welcome them, their honest and expectant faces surprisingly making Han Yan feel an inexplicable sense of emotion.

As soon as the carriage entered the village, all the villagers knelt down simultaneously, their eyes full of reverence.

There was no need for this; they were all their own people, so polite, and it had only been about ten days since they last met, not years. Seeing this display, Han Yan felt embarrassed, quickly getting up, intending to help up the old clan leader kneeling before her.

However, as she reached out her hand, Han Yan realized she had misunderstood; everyone’s gaze was directed behind her, toward the old and worn ox cart.

Han Yan turned her head and was stunned.

Sikong Qinglan, at some unknown time, had changed into his shiny Priest Robe, holding a crooked black staff as tall as a person that resembled an old tree root, standing straight, scanning the kneeling crowd with a gaze that was kind, benevolent, and even slightly sad but still dignified.

The golden afterglow fell upon him, enveloping him in a halo of mysterious sanctity.

In that instant, even Han Yan felt a sense of yearning arise within her, while Mu Chenglin and other Mu Clan members were so excited they trembled all over.

"The God’s radiance spreads across the Earth, granting peace to all beings! God’s people, rise," Sikong Qinglan gazed dreamily at the endless horizon, his voice becoming low and slightly hoarse, filled with magnetism, as if possessing an enchanting power over their hearts.

Mu Chenglin and others prostrated on the ground, their faces flushed with excitement, eyes shimmering with tears; some even couldn’t help but cry out loud.

A true God-man, this was indeed a true God-man!

Only then did Lady Mu realize her previous mistake. Seeing Ye Yi’an’s transcendent demeanor, she thought he appeared more like a God-man than the temple priest, only to now realize she had underestimated the priest’s skills in the art of God-men.
