Ren received a special gun from Joker and fought Stingfeeders, earning his first credit point after killing one while admiring his companions' superior skills. He recognized his mutated friend Leonel and chose to end his suffering with a fatal shot, filling him with emptiness. Days later, the Day of the Cataclysm erupted, shattering the earth, crumbling cities, and enveloping the world in perpetual twilight beneath a blood-red eclipse.

Countless stars began plummeting from the eternal twilight sky, as though escaping the heavens themselves.

A portion faded into eternal darkness, while others smashed ferociously onto the Earth. The sky, stripped bare of stars, appeared to pull away, forsaking Creation to a frenzied existence without order or purpose.

Continental masses collided fiercely, merging into unified forms. Fresh quakes of doomsday magnitude thrust, hauled, and tore apart the bedrock of the familiar world.

Deserts, lands, and mountain chains forfeited their natural equilibrium as islands slammed into mainland coasts or floated away into vast seas.

Numerous territories vanished into fissures and bottomless pits, while others drowned under surging tides. The world contracted to merely a third of its former size, shedding every familiar contour.

In that instant of dread, demise, and doubt, the final humans sensed the encroaching grip of alien forces. They beheld the elements' might, a showcase of its dominant command over Creation.

They realized no force could evade the Lord's Design, which reshaped the blueprint of Creation and existence alike.

Yet, those with unyielding resolve and iron will managed to seek refuge in caves and crevices nestled amid cliffs and peaks.

They beseeched the Earth as their deity, imploring safeguard from celestial wrath. Once again, they plumbed the depths of apocalyptic terror, the origin of all primal faiths.

From the Tower's summit, Ren watched the mayhem erupt below, the sole edifice apparently unscathed amid the ruin. It endured steadfast, a solitary pillar of steadiness in a realm swallowed by turmoil.

"That's because this tower serves as a vital transit hub. It won't be demolished. Not yet, anyway," Joker elaborated. He lounged flat on the floor, back against the chill concrete, eyes shut in repose.

"Not yet?" Ren echoed.

"Not until the interdimensional train pulls in," Joker specified.

"When will it arrive?"

"Given the devastation raging outside, I'd wager it's due any second now."

Ren grew quiet, his eyes scanning the lively bustle inside the Tower.

Evolved beings—precisely speaking, people—navigated the space with casual indifference, treating the apocalyptic chaos beyond as mere everyday happenings.

Even with climbing floods and intermittent tremors shaking the structure, a strange serenity hung in the air.

In the crowd, Ren spotted fresh evolutions clustered in alcoves, faces twisted in anguish and disbelief.

Some roamed without direction, their features blank, as if life's spark had been utterly sapped away.

Without Joker and Angelica's presence, Ren might have fallen prey to the same despair ensnaring these forsaken figures.

While scanning the masses, Ren couldn't tell the evolved from the unevolved.

Still, he detected the aura of seasoned trials radiating from those who had evolved far earlier than the rest.

"Can we teleport straight to Nexus without the train?" Ren asked.

Angelica replied casually while grooming her teddy bear. "Nexus is incredibly hard to locate. Its dimensional pocket lies beyond any universe's planar domain—though oddly still within time—and out of reach for spells like gate or planeshift. Even deities find Nexus inaccessible without the Great Lighthouse's guidance."

Deities? Ren scowled. "Like Gods?"

"Yep," Joker snickered. "Don't be shocked. Nexus hosts tons of races, so get ready to encounter those game creatures in the flesh."

"What's this Great Lighthouse?" Ren pressed.

"You'll see it right away in Nexus. Impossible to overlook," Joker chuckled softly.

"For a quick rundown, the Great Lighthouse is a massive flare of magical radiance. All interdimensional trains funnel there, and that energy burst fuels Nexus's power grid.

"These trains only service worlds on the brink of collapse. Leaving Nexus has other options, but entering? Only via this interdimensional train."

Before Ren could question further, Joker sprang upright and brushed dust from his trousers.

"Train's here, looks like."

The moment those words escaped him, a deep hum permeated the area, a remote tone originating from all directions at once.

Initially, it was a subtle quiver, hardly felt underfoot. But as moments ticked by, the thrum intensified, surging through the Tower and vibrating in Ren's very core.

The air itself quivered with expectancy, poised as if breathless for the impending event.

Suddenly, a dazzling burst of light announced the sudden appearance of the interdimensional train, materializing from nowhere as though summoned by mystical forces.

A breathtaking spectacle unfolded—a streamlined futuristic wonder that appeared to mock the very rules of physics. Its metallic exterior shone brilliantly under the surrounding glow, mirroring the vibrant chaos of colors all around.

Ren had never laid eyes on a train quite like this one. Elongated and aerodynamic, it featured fluid contours paired with razor-sharp edges, crafting an utterly alien aesthetic. Bizarre runes and interlocking circuit patterns decorated its body, emanating a pulsating energy that synced perfectly with the rhythm of Ren's heartbeat.

As it screeched to a stop right in front of them, the atmosphere buzzed with crackling static, sending icy tingles racing down his back.

With a sharp hiss of escaping pressurized air, the doors glided apart, exposing the train's interior awash in a mystical, otherworldly luminescence.

From the depths inside stepped a strange figure. Ren's attention snapped to a diminutive lizard striding upright on two legs, clad in a sharp, impeccable uniform.

Small in stature though it was, an undeniable aura of command radiated from the creature, its bearing screaming stern, unflinching competence.

Perched on its snout sat a pair of spectacles, lending a bookish vibe to its otherwise plain look. A look of utter boredom carved across its features, it shuffled ahead in dwarf-like fashion, its steps murmuring faintly against the tower's metal flooring.

"Alright, you know the drill," the lizard declared in a shockingly deep tone, tendrils of smoke drifting from its nostrils with every syllable. "Prepare your [Green Card] as you line up."
