Seven powerful cultivators, including Anthony, gathered in a desolate graveyard under a black sun. They had been waiting for more participants, believing a headcount was needed to activate the area's challenges. Suddenly, a colossal skeleton Behemoth appeared, forming a bone throne from which a Lich descended. The Lich announced that the required number of participants had arrived and declared they would become additions to its collection, hinting at a deadly trial ahead.

The Lich sat with an expressionless face for a moment, his eyes shifting towards Anthony as though he could sense the resonance of the Law of Death from him. His eyes swept through the other geniuses for a moment as he watched them listen with rapt attention, unbothered by the mention of certain death.

His bony face and bored expression carved into a smile as he continued to speak once more.

"The game for this round is pretty simple," his tone mischievous as he was certainly up to no good, "the seven of you are to fight each other to the death, and the last man standing’s reward would be the treasures others had already gotten from other domains within Master’s burial site," he stated, his posture calm as his green flaming eyes stayed on them as he wanted to take in their expressions.

At the Lich’s words, everyone’s expression instantly twisted into a frown. They could have never guessed that things would go in this direction. Asking everyone here to fight each other to the death was pure madness. Even if any of them were to be the last one standing, their Organization would face immense pressure from other Organizations. After all, these dead geniuses would leave Marks or symbols on the body of their killer.

And if they stepped outside with that Mark on their body, then they and their Organization might as well be finished.

Although their Organization might be one of the top Organizations throughout the Sathor Grand Region, none of them reigned supreme. While these sects might not necessarily go to a True War, it didn’t change the fact that they would demand an explanation.

Imagine six top Organizations pressing a single top Organization. That top Organization would be forced to give in, or worse yet, they might just kill their own genius that had killed the geniuses of other top Organizations just to ease their anger and pressure.

Not everyone was like Anthony, who possessed a method to remove the Mark whenever it was planted. After all, the Mark wasn’t a general Mark from some general technique or anything. Each Mark came from a different technique unique to each Force and Organization.

The Lich seemed to know this, and he had chosen this approach to the challenge to create some sort of chaos in the outside world. Although he couldn’t leave his Master’s burial ground, he could at least watch what was happening through some minor subordinates still in the outside world.

"Look around you," the Lich stated as he gestured downwards and around, "this place is a burial ground. How do you think the various tombs around here came to be, huh?" His tone was amused as he looked forward to the show. "So begin already. If the winner manages to impress me, I might just remove the Marks that the death of the others would leave on you," he added with a smirk.

None of these geniuses dared to believe a single syllable that came out from the skeleton’s mouth. They couldn’t bank their lives on the words of an unknown random skeleton that was probably stuck here forever. Besides, who knew if the skeleton was lying just to make the show more interesting? It was certainly a possibility.

The six geniuses began to look at each other with caution. Although none of them wanted this, they couldn’t exactly read each other’s minds, as one of them might make a sudden wicked move. They were all from various Organizations and had all fought various times outside, so at the moment, trust was basically almost non-existent.

As for Anthony, a smile remained on his lips as he stood with his hands behind his back. He didn’t exactly bother putting up his guard like the other six. If anyone made a move against him, then they shouldn’t blame him... after all, he wasn’t exactly the merciful type when it came to people who were gunning for his life.

"There is a way for all of us to get out of this alive." Li Xinyi, the butterfly lady from the Whispering Butterflies Sect, spoke in a calm tone.

Six pairs of eyes immediately snapped towards her. Although they didn’t speak, their eyes asked all the questions their minds held.

The Lich, hearing Li Xinyi’s words, remained calm and didn’t interfere. He simply watched what these soon-to-be new toys to his collection were really up to. If they could beat him at his own game, then sure; if they couldn’t, he would simply make things more interesting.

"As we already know, the Sleeping Hollow can only be open for a certain amount of time. Although we don’t know how much time exactly, we know it isn’t indefinite," Li Xinyi continued to speak as she explained, "so, we can just sit around and decide to wait it out. And yes, I know we would lose a lot by just remaining here, but we all get to keep our lives, and even if one of us survives, we get to spare our various Pavilions, Sects, and Organizations the loss of being pressured by six different top Organizations," she explained.

At her words, almost everyone here frowned. They understood the truth behind her words. But just staying here and doing nothing until the Sleeping Hollow closed and forcefully ejected them seemed stupid. While they were sitting around, other geniuses would make immense gains here, exchange it for resources from their own Families, Pavilions, and the likes, then surpass them.

Even the geniuses and disciples from their own affiliations, where there were their own rivals, how could they allow their rivals to surpass them?

But again... if they came out with nothing and explained the situation to their various backings, their affiliations would surely understand and at least give them something in exchange for sparing them the pressure of six others on par with them, right?

Although they thought that, they couldn’t be sure at the end of the day.

As for escaping and heading to another domain within this place, they weren’t so stupid as to believe such a thing was possible. If it were, the Lich wouldn’t happily suggest this death game. So it was either wait it out, or die together.

"What if the Lich decides to just kill us and bury us regardless since we are not entertaining it?" Another genius asked. He was from the Dreaming Nightmare Organization, oblivious to the fact that Anthony had killed one of his fellow disciples.

His name was Diedera Parkshu.

The others seemed to nod at the question. It was better for at least one of them to gain the reward than forever to just die. That way, they could even bank on the Lich’s words about removing the Mark from their bodies.

Li Xinyi seemed to already have an answer as she replied, "if you remember, when the Lich first appeared, it spoke about not being able to kill us itself and adding us to its collection, which I’m guessing is its group of skeletons under it." She paused for a moment, her head shifting towards the black sky as she gestured towards the skeleton Behemoth with her jaw as she added, "like that skeleton Behemoth that is currently floating above the Lich," she added calmly.
