MIGHT AS WELL BE OP Chapter 1262: The Ten Above Disciples
Previously on MIGHT AS WELL BE OP...
To Anthony, the pressure was child’s play. His sky-blue eyes shifted towards Jarod, who was kneeling, before turning back to the ten Above disciples. Without uttering a single word, an enormous presence erupted from his body like a cannon blast, forcefully pushing back the pressure bearing down on both him and Jarod.
Accompanying that presence was an incomprehensible amount of killing intent that flooded outward like a raging tidal wave, sweeping across the entire area with terrifying momentum.
The moment Anthony’s presence and killing intent were unleashed, the ten Above disciples immediately felt them. Seven of them collapsed to their knees almost instantly as they coughed up mouthfuls of blood. The remaining three desperately tried to resist, their muscles straining violently as veins bulged across their bodies while they fought to remain standing.
But it was useless. Despite their resistance, Anthony simply increased the pressure radiating from his body. With a deafening boom, all ten Above disciples and their servants were forced to their knees. Their servants lost consciousness entirely, collapsing onto the mountainsides, while their masters vomited blood under the crushing weight of Anthony’s presence.
The ten Above disciples’ eyes widened in utter shock as they sensed Anthony’s cultivation, Perfection Star Monarch. They simply couldn’t believe what they were seeing. They had heard that this man had only ascended three days ago and was the direct descendant of the Sect Master. How could someone possibly step into the Star Monarch Rank within the span of only three days?
’Impossible,’ one of the three girls among the ten Above disciples thought to herself as she struggled to stand.
She was ranked second amongst the Above disciples and had also reached the Perfection Firmament Rank.
Although she and everyone else were kneeling, they knew they could relieve the pressure weighing upon them by using their Laws. However, none of them did so, as that would mean admitting defeat and acknowledging their inferiority. Besides, they were the ones who had made the first move, not Anthony.
Jarod slowly rose to his feet as he wiped the sweat from his face, his entire body aching from the residual pressure. His eyes shifted towards the ten Above disciples, only to find every single one of them kneeling. He couldn’t help but stare in stunned silence.
He already knew Anthony was exceptionally strong for a newly Ascended cultivator, having personally witnessed him teleport, open portals, float in the air. However, seeing Anthony suppress all ten Above disciples through nothing more than his aura left him completely speechless.
The next moment, the pressure filling the air vanished as Anthony withdrew both his killing intent and his presence.
The Above disciples slowly rose back to their feet, their gazes fixed upon Anthony as though they were looking at some abnormal existence. The sheer amount of killing intent that had erupted from him moments earlier was simply beyond reason.
"Just how many people has this guy killed?" one of them asked solemnly, having never before experienced such an amount of killing intent.
And how could he?
Anthony had spent years slaughtering Demons. He had wiped out the entire lineage of the Second Supreme Monarch before proceeding to massacre quadrillions of beings from the Divinora Galaxy during the Galactical War.
How could these mere children possibly comprehend the amount of blood on his hands?
He hadn’t even released the full extent of his killing intent. If he had, some of them might have committed suicide on the spot, unable to withstand the crushing madness and despair contained within it.
"That isn’t the presence someone at the Star Monarch Rank should possess," another one of them stated aloud as he wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth.
As geniuses, they could all fight opponents above their own cultivation ranks. They had even faced Star Monarch cultivators in the past, yet none of those Star Monarchs had ever possessed a presence powerful enough to force them onto their knees through aura alone.
But Anthony was no ordinary Star Monarch cultivator. With his Beginning Of All Things Physique, Primordial Grade Bloodline and Primordial Bloodline, he was simply an entirely different existence compared to anyone else within the same cultivation realm.
The ten Above disciples’ minds spun with disbelief. They couldn’t help but wonder whether the Sect Master and Core Elders had lied when they claimed Anthony had only ascended three days ago and had been tested yesterday. After all, everything Anthony had just displayed made it seem as though the Core Elders and Sect Master had deliberately concealed the truth.
But would the Core Elders and Sect Master tell such an obvious lie, one that could be seen through with a single glance? Definitely not.
Which meant...
’He achieved this progress... in three... days,’ another one of the women thought to herself as all ten Above disciples independently arrived at exactly the same conclusion.
While they stood at the pinnacle of talent within the Null Sect, they had never become so arrogant that they lost the ability to think rationally. They carefully analyzed every situation before reaching conclusions. After all, there were individuals who knew how to play the pig to eat the tiger, and they understood better than anyone that arrogance was a one-way ticket to the Death Realm.
Their eyes couldn’t help but tremble as they processed their own conclusion. Such a feat was impossible. It simply shouldn’t exist. Yet at the same time, they couldn’t ignore the fact that their own Bloodlines and Physiques had allowed them to accomplish feats that ordinary cultivators considered impossible.
That could only mean Anthony’s Bloodline, Physique, or perhaps both, had granted him the ability to achieve such a ridiculous cultivation rank within only three days... or rather, within a single day, considering he had only been tested yesterday before arriving here today.
However, as that thought crossed their minds, another realization immediately followed. If Anthony’s Bloodline or Physique allowed him to accomplish something so incomprehensible, then it also meant that he had no Laws under his belt. After all, even the First Ranker, the strongest amongst them and someone who comprehended Laws with astonishing speed, still couldn’t fully comprehend an entire Law within the span of twenty-four hours.
To them, merely losing to Anthony didn’t automatically mean they were weaker overall. No. A true battle was determined by countless different factors, with Laws being one of the most significant.
Therefore, they still believed that although they had lost this particular confrontation, the outcome had been heavily influenced by Anthony’s cultivation realm and strong foundation. If they truly fought Anthony using every method available to them, especially their Laws, they believed the final victor would still be them.
’Speaking of ranks,’ one of them thought to himself.
The next moment, his identity token appeared in his hand. Origin Essence flowed into it as he checked the rankings of the Above disciples.
Seeing Anthony occupying the last position, he simply nodded in satisfaction. At the very least, the Core Elders and Sect Master hadn’t abused their authority by placing Anthony in a higher rank simply because of his identity. After all, every Above disciple had to earn their position through challenge and victory, not through status or influence.
