MIGHT AS WELL BE OP Chapter 1234: Another Universe
Previously on MIGHT AS WELL BE OP...
Next morning swiftly came as Anthony spent his first night within the Upper Galaxy. He had spent the night talking with Jarod as they walked, mostly discussing the sect and Jarod’s life. Of course, Jarod had asked Anthony about his own life as a Human in the Lower Galaxy, but Anthony didn’t go into too many details and instead talked about the peaceful times without mentioning the bloodshed and wars that had come with them. It wasn’t that he wanted to lie, but there simply wasn’t any reason to bring up those darker memories during their casual conversation.
Anthony yawned as he rose from his bed. Although the Core Elders didn’t need bathrooms and such, the cottage Anthony had been given still came with one, which he thoroughly enjoyed and used as he waited for the Third Core Elder, Decipherer Of The Heavens, to arrive, as today was supposed to be his test.
Anthony sensed the Third Core Elder’s presence from afar and decided to get dressed, stepping out of the bathroom before swiftly putting on his clothes. Within another part of the cottage, Jarod stepped out as he had already prepared breakfast after Anthony had given him a spatial storage containing a huge amount of Essence Stones and coins for him to use in buying the best food and ingredients he could get his hands on.
"Good morning, Anthony. Breakfast is ready," Jarod stated.
"I will be skipping it," Anthony replied with a shake of his head.
Jarod simply nodded and said nothing else as he understood that Anthony had a test coming up soon. Although it wasn’t anything particularly difficult, Jarod was somewhat familiar with the process and knew there was no reason to interrupt Anthony’s focus beforehand.
Anthony stepped outside, arriving at the open space, and simply floated in midair while waiting for Decipherer Of The Heavens to arrive. Within a few seconds, the man arrived, immediately noticing Anthony floating so calmly before him.
"Hooo!!!! You’ve rediscovered your ability to fly..." he stated, a bit amazed. After all, to fly within the Ecliptica Rank, one had to reach the Foundation Astraforge Rank unless they could defy gravity through some other means.
"I have, it was easy to get the hang of..." Anthony replied as he landed on his feet.
Decipherer Of The Heavens noticed that Anthony was floating without using Origin Essence Energy but didn’t comment on it.
"Let’s go," Decipherer Of The Heavens spoke before immediately turning and vanishing from his position as he took a step, each one covering a significant distance.
Anthony didn’t speak. He simply took a step and appeared beside the Third Core Elder with ease as Thought Conception activated.
"I have news," the Third Core Elder spoke as he noticed once again the ease with which Anthony had kept up without using Origin Essence.
Anthony made no effort to hide his Thought Conception ability. If anyone dared to ask, his answer would be simple: it was merely one of his abilities.
Anthony simply stared at the Third Core Elder, wondering what news he had.
"It’s related to the Milky Way Galaxy you told me about. I think it doesn’t exist within our Universe," the man spoke as he crossed another significant distance with a single step, the world almost becoming a blur in his eyes.
"Doesn’t exist within our Universe?" Anthony asked, thoroughly confused.
The Third Core Elder sighed and explained, "Just like how multiple Galaxies exist, multiple Universes also ex—" he began to speak, but before he could finish, he was cut off.
"I already know about that. I just want to know your thoughts on why it doesn’t exist within our Universe," Anthony spoke as he interrupted the man, trying not to sound disrespectful.
The Third Core Elder sighed before continuing. "With my Laws, Cultivation Manual, Ability, and Title, I’m able to decipher and interpret hidden secrets and information beneath and within the Heavens to a certain extent. But when I used my ability to search for the Milky Way Galaxy, I found nothing, not within our Galaxy nor among the trillions of Upper Galaxies out there," he explained before pausing for a brief moment, allowing Anthony to understand where he was going with the discussion.
"But don’t make the mistake of thinking that perhaps I simply didn’t find it because there are many Lower and Upper Galaxies out there. That can’t be the case, as I can locate any Lower Galaxy in existence within our Universe through my powers as long as it is a Lower Galaxy." He paused briefly before continuing, "Even if the information you possessed was incorrect and the Milky Way Galaxy turned out to be an Upper Galaxy, I would still have received confirmation of its existence at the very least, even if I couldn’t determine its location. Even if the name of the Galaxy you were looking for was wrong, I would still have known, but none of that happened. Hence my conclusion; it doesn’t exist within our Universe," he concluded.
Although he didn’t say it out loud, the Third Core Elder wondered what information related to a Galaxy from another Universe was doing within their own Universe, and in a Lower Galaxy at that. He was simply too curious, but he said nothing. Without any more information, he could only stop deciphering there.
Anthony didn’t speak for a moment as his mind spun. Back at the Heavenly Library, he had indeed asked the Librarian for books containing a list of Lower Galaxies, but the Librarian had said he needed a certain level of clearance for that, and he, Anthony, wasn’t even a disciple yet. Although the Librarian had later given it to him quietly as a means of currying favor.
Within that very book, Anthony hadn’t found the Milky Way Galaxy, exactly as Decipherer Of The Heavens had said earlier.
’Did ??? reincarnate me from another Universe?’ Anthony thought to himself as he realized he had never truly considered that possibility before.
He decided to stop thinking about it for the moment. Once he was done with whatever tests he was about to undergo, he would use his Thought Conception, and if his mental capacity still wasn’t enough, he would simply rely on the system. Simple and easy.
And with that, both Anthony and the Third Core Elder continued moving forward in silence.
