MIGHT AS WELL BE OP Chapter 1129: A Knock

"So, there are five Human Bloodline levels, from the lowest to the highest: Low, High, Supreme, Perfect, and Primordial. The Low grade is the Bloodline every Human being possesses," Anthony began his explanation. "The higher each Bloodline Grade, the greater the benefits and effects, such as improved talent and a longer lifespan, and even enhanced charm," he stated, pausing briefly.
"Personally, I don't know the method to increase Bloodline Grades, but back at Omni Peak Academy, my Bloodline evolved to High Grade on its own, and I don't know why," Anthony stated calmly.
Although Irene and the others wished to speak, they refrained from interrupting, understanding that cutting him off would disrupt the flow of what was clearly important information.
"At this moment, all four of you have also awakened the Supreme Grade Bloodline," Anthony declared with a smile. The instant they emerged from their cocoons during their evolution, he had sensed it with absolute clarity.
"Meaning, you now possess greater talent, an incredible life span, and enhanced charm," he paused again before continuing, "it also comes with some extraordinary effects. For example, if a Human below Supreme Grade is injured, you can simply give them a few drops of your blood, and they will be healed. Additionally, your children will possess the Supreme Grade Bloodline upon birth," he concluded.
With each word Anthony spoke, the others' eyes widened further in astonishment. The revelations were more unbelievable than the last, yet none of them could refute his words.
"Now, the most outrageous effects, and the reason why I said your effects are useless against me, is this: anyone possessing a lower Bloodline Grade is incapable of injuring you anymore; any attack they use is nullified, be it illusions, poisons, or anything else," Anthony explained. "Meaning, High and Low Bloodline Grade holders are no different from cannon fodder to you all," he added definitively.
A moment of silence ensued as they were too shocked to speak, their minds struggling to fully comprehend the implications of what they had just heard.
"This couldn't possibly get any crazier," Michael stated after a short pause, his voice laced with a mixture of disbelief and reluctant acceptance.
"Wait, we are Supreme Grades, while you possess the High Grade Bloodline. Our attacks should still work on you," Mitchelle immediately interjected, spotting what appeared to be an inconsistency, her brows knitting slightly as she analyzed the situation.
Anthony shook his head once more. "After another breakthrough, my Bloodline Grade increased, but to the Perfect Grade this time, skipping Supreme Grade entirely," his tone remained level, as if such a leap was merely a minor detail.
His statement was, of course, a fabrication. He had only achieved his first Bloodline upgrade through his breakthrough. The jump to Perfect Grade was a gift from the Unchained, the indolent Boundless, as payment for rent after …… stopped him from forcefully ascending Anthony.
However, Anthony couldn't possibly reveal that, nor did he feel the need to elaborate on the intricate details.
"You're becoming more mysterious by the minute," Collins commented. "No wonder you were considered outrageously talented by every known standard," he added, his tone conveying both curiosity and admiration.
Anthony made no move to correct the assumption. His Bloodline had no bearing on his talent, but letting them believe his talent stemmed from his Bloodline Grade simplified matters, and there was no harm in it.
Furthermore, Anthony himself was surprised that they had awakened a higher form of Bloodline in the first place. He hadn't anticipated it, expecting them only to receive the normal boost and nothing more, making this outcome far exceed his initial expectations.
Still, a victory was a victory, and he had no complaints whatsoever.
Evelyn and the others had to acquire their own Bloodline through the system shop.
"So, how many people with higher Bloodline Grades do you know?" Michael inquired, suspicions already beginning to form in his mind.
Anthony remained silent for a moment. He hesitated to mention Klaus or his wife, or even Vega, as that pertained to their family matters and was not his secret to divulge. But then again, they were already present, and his parents already possessed a Bloodline Grade on par with Amara’s. There was no need to conceal anything, as it changed nothing regardless.
"A few," Anthony replied, his answer intentionally vague.
"Who are these few people?" Mitchelle pressed, her eyes narrowing slightly as she demanded more information.
"Klaus, Amara, Vega, and Evelyn," Anthony responded, Elizabeth's name being added to the list. The reason was simple: if Irene encountered Elizabeth upon her return, she could immediately sense the Bloodline emanating from her. Thus, Anthony mentioned her name preemptively.
Upon hearing Elizabeth's name, Irene's eyes momentarily shimmered. It was as if she had finally grasped how someone could possess such profound talent in Healing Magic, the scattered pieces of understanding clicking into place within her mind.
"What Grade does Klaus possess?" Michael inquired, his curiosity now thoroughly ignited, genuinely eager for the answer.
Anthony remained silent for a span before stating, "Primordial Grade." His words, though delivered calmly, carried an imposing weight.
Michael was struck speechless. After a brief pause, he uttered, "No wonder my assaults never had any effect on him." He then lapsed into thought, recalling their past confrontations with a sudden, sharp clarity.
"It's not solely due to that, Father. Klaus operates at the Galactic level, or even beyond, in terms of raw power and existential standing. Even if you were to unleash your absolute full might, you would still be unable to even tug a single strand of hair from his head," Anthony explained, shaking his head, his tone purely factual.
"You impudent brat," Michael exclaimed, moving to knock Anthony's head. However, Infinity intervened, halting Michael's arm mid-motion. Anthony smirked as he met Michael's gaze. Michael simply sighed, withdrawing his hand and accepting the situation without further objection.
"What Bloodline Grades do Amara, Vega, and Elizabeth possess?" Irene asked, her primary interest being her student.
"Elizabeth and Vega hold the Perfect Grade, while Amara possesses the Supreme Grade," Anthony replied instantaneously and without hesitation, his answers precise.
"Hmm... for a family that seems so incredibly powerful, shouldn't Amara have at least a Perfect Grade Bloodline?" Collins interjected, his tone contemplative as he considered the sheer might of Klaus and his family members.
"I'm unaware of their specific circumstances, Great-Grandfather. I simply never inquired when I was informed. After all, certain details are deeply personal and shrouded in secrets that individuals may not wish to divulge," Anthony replied, shaking his head as a sign of respect for privacy.
Collins nodded in understanding, grasping Anthony's perspective. If Klaus or Amara had not elaborated at the time, it was because they had chosen not to delve into specifics, a choice that deserved to be respected.
"Well, at least we won't need to undergo training to acclimate to the surge of power we just obtained," Michael stated, as they had all instinctively mastered their newfound abilities simultaneously. This proved to be a remarkably convenient and stress-free development.
Everyone concurred with Michael's observation. After all, having just emerged from a period of seclusion, the prospect of returning to it so soon was an arduous and unwelcome thought, something none of them were keen to repeat.
"Let us discuss the matter of ascension," Mitchelle promptly added, her eyes sparkling with keen interest as the conversation naturally progressed.
