MIGHT AS WELL BE OP Chapter 1087: Vampire Domain
Previously on MIGHT AS WELL BE OP...
"Alright, with preparations complete, let's head out," Anthony proposed calmly, his voice even and assured, like the path forward was already set in stone within his thoughts.
All nodded in agreement and stood up; they glanced at the clouds again, where the sun started its ascent, its initial beam slicing through the fading night, spreading a soft light over the heavens.
Just by Anthony's mental command, a portal yawned open under their feet, dropping them into the craft; once inside the command center, he halted briefly then said, "We'll take Tiara's ship—I can't afford delays from security checks and red tape tied to the Titan Royal Family vessel," he advised, his words straightforward and casual.
The group consented, shifting over to Tiara's craft, as the attending bodyguards swiftly moved to Bringer's ship without delay.
"Plot a route to the Vampire Domain," Tiara commanded the ship's AI, her tone steady yet laced with gravity.
"Confirmed," replied the robotic AI voice filling the command center, "ETA one hour."
Power surged through the craft with a low hum before it rocketed ahead in a swift streak, slicing across the skies toward the Vampire Domain at incredible speed.
Casual chatter flowed among the group, most appearing relaxed about the upcoming events... except not quite all were so composed. Tiara struggled to stay calm; wild imaginings flooded her mind, spinning up troubling possibilities she struggled to shake off.
"You're dwelling on this too much," Bryan remarked, shaking his head lightly, his voice teasing yet gentle.
"Simple for you—you're not the one in my position," Tiara shot back with a heavy sigh, her face mirroring her burdened mind.
Rider shook his head while commenting, "You're alongside Anthony—what do you have to fear? Plus, ever think he might wipe out the Blood Queen and a horde of other Vampires using that same trick on Drake Bloodmoon?" Rider questioned with a serene grin, as if picturing the whole event unfolding vividly.
Tiara's brow creased briefly in a frown, "Likely so, but it won't be straightforward since the Blood Queen's an Apexus Mana Ranker too," she countered carefully, her words measured and realistic.
"Anthony, suppose you slaughter a massive wave of Vampires—won't folks ditch calling you a God and label you a tyrant instead?" Bringer queried, swiveling to face Anthony, his features alight with intrigue.
With a faint, detached smile, Anthony shook his head, "I've never given a damn about them seeing me as a God; everyone's free to think what they want, but only my view on their views counts," he replied nonchalantly. "Plus, races are eternally wary of each other—others might even express gratitude rather than brand me a tyrant," he tacked on with subtle humor.
"Yeah... fair point," Bringer admitted after a short pause, seeming to yield the argument grudgingly.
Minutes raced past amid their ongoing talk, brimming with easy banter and jests, until the AI's voice sliced through sharply.
"Destination in two minutes," the synthetic AI announced.
The craft glided smoothly through the air nearing the Vampire Domain; no checks or barriers impeded them, thanks to the prominent emblem of the Vampire Royal Bloodline ensuring seamless entry.
Anthony stood and approached the clear viewports, staring down at the landscape as the ship slowed sharply to prevent shockwaves ripping through the area below.
Down there, Vampires bustled around, all sharing that ghostly pale skin, fangs prominently displayed as a core trait. Some sported crimson wings or ebony ones, gliding elegantly yet fiercely overhead.
Even from inside the craft, Anthony detected the subtle, sharp tang of iron hanging in the air... blood, naturally, since Vampires revered it beyond anything.
In contrast to the fantasy tales and films from Anthony’s former world—where Vampires subsisted solely on blood—Blue Planet held a different truth. Vampires here relished meat, rice, cake, ice cream, or any delicacy they wished... yet blood supplied an unmatched essence no other fare could duplicate.
"I have to say, the Vampire Domain is indeed beautiful," Anthony remarked while quietly narrowing his Sense Dome’s range; otherwise, eyesight wouldn’t be needed, since his Sense Dome delivered full details on the Domain without any need to budge.
Anthony’s sky-blue gaze lifted upward, revealing vast red clouds swirling threateningly, but he knew this matched the Vampires’ cherished style exactly. Through his All-Seeing Eyes, he’d discerned they started as plain white clouds, reshaped by the Vampire Domain’s unique methods into scarlet hues. Rainfall arrived not pure and transparent, but as a bloody red mist, like heavens weeping blood.
Even nature’s basic elements had been twisted to fit their Domain. Anthony was convinced that, were it feasible, these Vampires would tint the sun blood-red too—regrettably, Blue Planet’s single sun served everyone.
Of course... the Vampire Domain could just shift to a new planet, where one of their Apexus Mana Rankers spots a blood-red sun, aligning everything flawlessly with their tastes.
"Impressive," Anthony declared, averting his eyes from the crimson sky overhead, his voice tinged with quiet respect.
‘I wonder what blood tastes like,’ Anthony mused, a spark of curiosity flashing through him. Inside the Vampire Domain now, the notion bubbled up unbidden, though he had no plans to sample it; merely a momentary fancy.
"We are almost at the Blood Castle," Tiara announced, eyeing the enormous edifice rising ahead.
Anthony pulled back from the window, redirecting his focus as he strode to Tiara and the group, who fixed their sights on the nearing fortress.
"It’s huge," Bringer uttered, his tone laced with faint awe.
"Obviously it is; this is the residence of a Ruler of a Domain. Having a small estate would be no different from an insult to their authority," Rider replied, as if stating the plainest fact.
