The vision presented a scene of countless white bones scattered everywhere.
However, in the area where Alva halted, a distinctly separated space materialized.
Within this internal circular zone, the beast bones were not piled in a disorderly fashion but were arranged into separate sections, indicating their former significance.
It was evident that these Star Beasts were so immensely powerful during their lives that they held exceptionally high standings within their respective herds.
This clearly illustrated the profoundly strict hierarchical structure present within the beast group.
"Use the torch to illuminate the bones. Look for any that reflect a golden powder; those are the genuine King Bones," Alva instructed.
As he spoke, Alva ignited a torch and presented it to Mu Fan. "King Bones possess immense hardness. Select one that you are confident you can carve and bring it with you. Any surplus King Bones can serve as reserve materials for the subsequent fusion bone gold process or can be directly fashioned into other weapons. These are all valuable resources!"
Taking the torch, Mu Fan cast a glance at the central area, which emanated a strong, unpleasant odor, and gave a slight nod.
The group promptly commenced their search amidst the skeletal remains.
Bloer nimbly scaled the tallest spinal bone, crouching like a stealthy night cat. His ears were pricked, acting as a vigilant lookout for the entire party.
The group dispersed, with Mu Fan holding the torch and venturing down the path on the far right.
Each fallen beast bone measured over twenty meters in length, with the shortest standing at least seven to eight meters tall.
Under the torchlight, Mu Fan could discern the shape and outline of each skeletal remnant in the darkness, yet he struggled to identify which bones possessed the coveted reflection.
Consequently, he had no choice but to proceed with a meticulous, thorough search, leaving no stone unturned.
"Not... not..."
"No... it is! So many?!"
As he rounded a pile of coiled beast bones and moved to the opposite side, Mu Fan experienced a surge of surprise.
Before him lay a sight where nearly all the half-sectioned beast bones appeared to be King Bones!
One colossal beast bone stretched tens of meters long and stood eight meters high!
Mu Fan's excitement instantly grew.
He surveyed his surroundings, noting that the Burial Ground seemed rather expansive for a group of only ten individuals.
Mu Fan could not detect any sign of the others within his visual range.
The prior agreement stipulated that each person should select a piece that best suited them, then carry it out of the Burial Ground, regroup, and depart together.
The criterion for suitability, as established by Alva, was a piece that they were certain they could carve and transport.
Mu Fan gently tapped the section of beast bone before him.
A clear, resonant sound echoed back. It lacked a metallic timbre, yet possessed a translucent quality akin to jade.
Concurrently, a sense of inherent toughness was conveyed through the contact.
Mu Fan narrowed his eyes and casually picked up a Short Stick, striking it against the bone segment.
The impact was akin to a Piling Machine delivering a forceful blow.
Thud! A heavy sound reverberated before him.
Mu Fan's hand instinctively tightened around the yet-to-be-activated Curved Light Scythe Blade, a look of conviction dawning in his eyes.
This particular beast bone, according to Black's analysis, contained numerous metallic elements and possessed a hardness that surpassed that of specialized steel materials.
Thus, Mu Fan... became tempted.
"If it proves unworkable, then perhaps this will be the one," Mu Fan murmured to himself, his gaze fixed upon the colossal rib bone before him, which towered two meters taller than himself.
With his right hand, he reached into the pouch at his waist.
... ...
The first to emerge was one of the three individuals who had assisted Bloer. He carried a beast fang, over a meter in length, which gleamed with a metallic luster under the torchlight.
Shortly after his appearance, the other members began returning one by one.
Alva was the last of the White-armored Warriors to emerge. Strapped to his back with ropes was a skull as large as himself. A satisfied smile graced his face as he declared, "It was challenging to locate a Hammer Nailed Beast's skull, but this is the prime material for crafting shields! Hahaha... Huh, where is Brother Mu?"
"Didn't he return?"
Having regrouped, Alva immediately sensed that something was amiss. He noticed Mu Fan's absence and urgently inquired.
"Alva, I did not see him," one of the companions replied.
"Nor did we," others confirmed truthfully.
Alva then looked up towards Bloer, who was maintaining his lookout position. "Did you happen to see Brother Mu?"
Upon hearing the question, Bloer pointed towards the far right. "Not too long ago, I detected some noise originating from that direction, similar to the sound of a heavy object falling. However, I did not hear his voice. I will... Oh no!"
Bloer's expression shifted to intense alertness. His gaze fixed on a specific direction as he exclaimed, "There are unusual, heavy footsteps approaching from the east side. It's a large creature... and not just one!"
This sudden warning from the Wind Clan member instantly heightened the tension within the group.
"Quick, go find Brother Mu!"
"Wait, don't shout so loudly. Ah! Never mind, I'll go myself!" Alva's eyes flashed with urgency. Despite Mu Fan having taken the lady he admired most, Miss Nuonuo, Alva knew he would have no face to meet Wang Nuonuo if he were to abandon Mu Fan here.
With his declaration made, Alva made haste towards the far right, hefting the skull of the Hammer Nailed Beast.
The far right flank was precisely the direction that Bloer had issued a caution about—the eastern side.
This was also the precise vector from which that unidentified, colossal Star Beast had been emerging.
The two paths, coincidentally, converged.
"Brother Mu... I truly hope nothing befalls you; our confrontation is far from concluded!"
Alva began to advance with long strides, first leaping onto a section of beast bone, then pivoting to surge onward in a different trajectory.
Thud!
A profound tremor resonated through the ground.
It felt like the seismic shockwave produced when an immense creature stomped its foot.
The sheer menace of this Star Beast was made readily apparent.
Should there have been but a solitary one, Alva might have even dared to charge forth with his trusty axe.
However, this locale was the Burial Ground, a veritable sanctuary for the recuperation of Star Beasts.
To engage in hunting within these bounds would be tantamount to provoking every single ferocious Star Beast that dwelled here.
These were creatures that had endured and triumphed over high-level Beast Tides, akin to royalty among their kind.
To incite the ire of these Star Beasts simultaneously would invariably lead to certain annihilation.
"Blast it all, why so imminent! Brother Mu, please expedite your emergence."
Whether his heartfelt plea had an effect was uncertain, for the instant his words left his lips, a distant profile appeared around a bend, casting a glance.
"Brother Mu!" Alva exclaimed, his heart soaring with relief.
"Alva... what troubles you?"
"Depart swiftly, colossal beings are approaching from the east, we must evacuate this place immediately. Did you not locate King Bones? It matters not, we have secured ample specimens; we shall seize another opportunity to return!"
Alva urged, his tone laced with urgency.
Mu Fan initially offered a nod, then vigorously shook his head, "I have indeed found King Bones; we shall depart forthwith. Wait for me a moment."
With a deep vocalization.
Mu Fan launched himself forward with considerable force.
To Alva's utter astonishment, Mu Fan's left foot struck the ground, leaving a momentary indentation.
That...
How...
Did... such a thing occur!!!
At that precise juncture, Alva's jaw nearly unhinged itself from its socket in sheer disbelief.
He witnessed Mu Fan hoisting a colossal rib bone, standing at least eight meters tall and as thick as a man, now within his field of vision.
"Did you fell a Giant Barbarian Elephant's rib!?"
"How... how did you manage to sever it?"
