Gamora reveals her painful past, claiming Nebula's resentment stems from Thanos's cruel upbringing. Jason proposes a bold plan, sending Gamora on a secret mission. Meanwhile, Thanos, eager to complete his Infinity Gauntlet, learns of Gamora's capture and her suspected connection to the Infinity Stones. He rescues her, ostensibly to protect her, but then forces her to torture her captor. After a tense confrontation where Gamora reaffirms her hatred for Thanos and his genocidal ideals, he attempts to use the Reality Stone to restore her loyalty, but she resists, revealing Jason's plan is still in motion.

"Enough!" Thanos interrupted impatiently. "I don’t want to waste any more words with you. Tell me, what was on that map you burned?"

Gamora said casually, "Just a treasure map. I thought those people were coming to steal it, so I burned it in advance."

At this, Thanos walked up to Gamora and said, "Everything you are, I taught you by hand. I taught you how to fight, how to survive... but I never taught you how to lie."

"No, I’m not lying. That map really was a treasure map," Gamora insisted.

"In that case, draw it for me. If a treasure can truly be found following that map, then I will believe you," Thanos stared at her.

"No problem... but what if the map is fake? Or if someone already beat us to it?" Gamora asked.

"Whether it is true or false, I will judge for myself."

"Fine, I’ll draw it!"

Gamora brought up a virtual projection and began to sketch the contents of the map. Meanwhile, Thanos walked to the window, gazing at Centauri-IV looming close ahead, and spoke slowly.

"Before you begin your drawing, let me remind you. If you dare deceive me, everyone on this planet will be buried with you for your betrayal."

Gamora’s fingers froze instantly. "Why? Why should innocent people pay for my actions?"

"Because you are my daughter!" Thanos turned around. "I know very well that I cannot bring myself to strike you, so I will pour my wrath onto these people instead. Furthermore, I will force you to watch as they are slaughtered alive—because they will have died for you!"

"You... you are insane!" Gamora was incandescent with rage.

"Perhaps." Thanos turned away again, speaking softly. "Now, you may begin."

Gazing at the blank screen, Gamora stood rooted to the spot, unable to bring herself to start. She knew in her heart that Thanos was not joking. If she drew a random sketch, he would truly purge all life on the planet with his own hands and force her to watch. To Gamora, this was more agonizing than undergoing torture again.

Minutes passed. After a long wait, Gamora still hadn’t moved. Thanos slowly turned and walked over, taking Gamora’s hand and lowering it.

"I knew you couldn’t do it. You are too kind. While I don’t like that trait, it is your nature."

Gamora stood there, her face a mask of despair.

Thanos spoke in a low voice: "Tell me. Tell me the information regarding the Stone."

Gamora turned her head away, remaining silent.

Thanos sighed. "You know in your heart that I must obtain the Infinity Stones. Your silence is useless."

Gamora sneered, "And if I don’t speak, you’ll slaughter everything on Centauri-IV?"

Thanos shook his head. "Using that method once is enough; using it twice would be a loss of dignity. Perhaps we can make a deal."

Gamora asked, "What deal?"

Thanos: "You tell me the location of the Stone, and I give you your freedom—true freedom. You can leave me forever, leave this ship, travel the vast universe, and seek your own adventures. You can make friends as you please, act according to your own sense of justice, or even settle down and have a family if you wish."

Hearing the beautiful future Thanos described, Gamora felt a spark of yearning in her eyes. However, she was still suspicious.

"You don’t need to doubt this," Thanos comforted. "You are no longer a child; you are fully grown. I wanted us to continue fighting side by side, but unfortunately, you don’t share my ideals. Keeping you by my side by force will only lead to pointless arguments and further damage our relationship. Better to let go now before things completely turn sour and allow you to walk your own path."

Thanos’s tone was sincere and aligned with his logic. Most importantly, while Thanos was willing to do any evil deed, he was famous for never lying.

"Fine, I agree to the deal!" Gamora pondered for a long time and finally relented. "The map I obtained was regarding the Soul Stone. The map showed it is on... gods... Vormir! The Stone is on Planet Vormir!"

Gamora stumbled through the reveal, finally letting the secret out. At this, a smile appeared on Thanos’s face. He then asked, "Does Jason know about this?"

Gamora shook her head: "I didn’t have time to tell him before those people found me."

"Very good! Enjoy your breakfast slowly. I won’t disturb you further." With that, Thanos turned and left the hall for the control room.

After more than half a month, Gamora’s wounds finally healed, and Sanctuary arrived at Vormir. Thanos took Gamora with him, and the two landed their ship at the mountain peak.

"Welcome, Lord Thanos... and Gamora!" The guide, Red Skull, appeared once again.

"You know us?"

"My curse is to know everyone who comes here."

Thanos asked the same questions, and Red Skull gave the same answers. After their exchange, Red Skull led them to the summit and told them the requirement for obtaining the Soul Stone.

"To ensure its possessor understands its power, the Soul Stone requires a sacrifice."

Thanos: "Sacrifice what?"

"Sacrifice the one you love most in your heart. A soul for a soul."

Thanos froze on the spot, silent for a long time.

"Heh... Hahaha..." Gamora laughed behind him, filled with a sense of relief. "I have dreamed of this day, this moment, my entire life—watching you eat the bitter fruit of your own actions. I thought it would never happen. But now..."

"You rampaged through the universe, slaughtering the innocent, all in the name of... salvation! You spent your life trying to gather the six Infinity Stones, but in the end, you will fail. This is the universe’s punishment for you. You lost. Completely. Do you know why? Because you have never loved anything, or anyone!"

Gamora was overjoyed. She mocked Thanos relentlessly, letting out twenty years’ worth of suppressed hatred. But at her last sentence, Thanos slowly turned around, looking at Gamora with profound grief, two tracks of tears running down his face.

"You’re crying?" Gamora found it unbelievable.

"He is not weeping for himself..." Red Skull reminded her softly.

The smile on Gamora’s face froze completely. She spun around, staring at Thanos in disbelief. "No, impossible. This isn’t love!"

Thanos slowly approached, grieving: "I once fled from my destiny, but this time I will not flee again. Even if... I have to lose you."

Gamora fell into total despair! After breaking free from the Mind Stone’s control, the reason she continued the plan and brought Thanos to Vormir was that she wanted to see his dream shattered with her own eyes. Then, she intended to use the two Infinity Stones in Jason’s possession to completely eliminate this blood-handed butcher. But she never imagined that the words Jason said to her before she left would actually come true.

Gamora swiftly drew the dagger Thanos had once gifted her, preparing to commit suicide. Since the plan had failed, this was her only option. No matter what, she couldn’t let Thanos get the Soul Stone. Furthermore, if she killed herself, Jason—who had used her to plot this—would also be unable to obtain it. Jason, like Thanos, was an ambitious man who threatened the universe. While he retained a sliver of humanity compared to Thanos, he was equally cold-blooded when dealing with strangers.

Sacrificing herself to ruin the ambitions of two monsters—it was a bargain.

Unfortunately, although Gamora’s movements were incredibly swift, she was not faster than Thanos clenching his fist and activating the Reality Stone. A red light flashed, turning the dagger in Gamora’s hand into a cluster of bubbles. Reality is often disappointing, but the Reality Stone can modify it—no matter how absurd the dream, it can make it real.

"I’m sorry, My daughter!" Thanos whispered his farewell with tears in his eyes. He grabbed Gamora by the arm and, with a gaze both determined and agonized, walked toward the abyss.

"No!" Gamora screamed, struggling desperately. But her strength was like a flickering candle before Thanos; she had no room for resistance.

Thanos was a mess of tears. He didn’t dare turn back to look into Gamora’s eyes, fearing he would lose his nerve. He forced himself to look into the distance, his mind focused solely on his dream. Reaching the edge of the cliff, Thanos pushed Gamora off.

The desperate scream tortured Thanos’s conscience; he felt his soul shatter from that moment on.

After a moment, the sound of a heavy object hitting the ground completely broke his mental defenses. Thanos closed his eyes in agony, his heart feeling as though it were being wrenched apart. Heart-wrenching pain.

Suddenly... clouds swirled at the summit, lightning crackled, and thunder roared amidst a downpour. A pillar of pure white light descended from the sky, enveloping Thanos. The next second, he lost consciousness completely.

He didn’t know how much time had passed, but Thanos woke up in a pool of water. He slowly sat up, looking at the distant, obscured sun, realizing he was still on Vormir. He opened his right palm. An orange stone lay in his hand. At the cost of sacrificing his most beloved, Thanos finally possessed the second Infinity Stone.

Now, he finally had the power to contend with Jason.

Two jump points away from Vormir, Jason’s three major fleets sat waiting in silence. Many months had passed since the plan was put into motion, and the crews were becoming restless. While Jason appeared calm on the surface, feigning that everything was under control, his heart was pounding.

Fortunately, Gamora and Thanos did not disappoint him. Just moments ago, Jason received an intel: Thanos and Gamora had arrived on Vormir. The subsequent development was exactly as Jason had predicted. Thanos had indeed killed Gamora to obtain the Soul Stone. The plan was a complete success.

"To kill your most beloved for the sake of some ’ideal’... that guy really is a piece of work," Jason sneered mockingly.

If it were him, he could never have done it. Without your loved ones by your side, even if you gained the entire universe, with whom would you share the joy?

"But the Soul Stone Thanos worked so hard to get is about to change hands. Thinking about it, this really is cruel for him, haha..."

With a single order, the fleet mobilized at high speed. The three ships passed through the jump point one after another, appearing near Planet Vormir.

Seeing a massive fleet suddenly appear, the soldiers on the were shocked but didn’t panic. Following Thanos through countless battles, the fleets they had destroyed were enough to fill a planet. This fleet would surely be no exception. The soldiers powered up their laser cannons and launched fighter craft, prepared to annihilate these unfortunate interlopers.

Lasers flooded the space. First in line was the , led by Darth Vader.

Vader calmly reached out his left hand. With a single thought, a massive wave of the Force enveloped the three ships.

The laser fire hit the fleet but was perfectly blocked by the Force barrier, leaving no damage. Darth Vader’s eyes fixed on the dozens of fighter ships. He clenched his fist tightly, and those ships were instantly crushed by the Force, turning into balls of scrap metal.

Aboard the , Peter and the others stared with wide eyes. Gamora was right; appearances were deceiving. No one expected this disabled man, who relied on machinery to live, to have the power to crush starships with his bare hands. Thinking back to the bet that night, Peter felt a sudden chill.

Meanwhile, the three ships returned fire, and a fierce battle broke out between the two sides.

"I don’t have time to waste on this!" Jason had no interest in this space battle. He walked to the viewing window, looking at the , his pupils instantly turning purple.

The power of Power stone was unleashed! The was suddenly covered in purple crystalline veins. In an instant, the hull was compromised, air pressure dropped, systems failed, and engines stalled. Within seconds, the was completely crippled.

"Damn it! We’re under an unknown attack! The ship is out of control!" Piercing alarms rang out on the . The soldiers were pale with terror, falling into chaos.

"What do we do now?"

"Call Lord Thanos for help, quickly!"

The purple veins became denser. Seconds later, the disintegrated with a roar, turning into stardust in the void.

"Ah... watching a massive ship turn to dust in an instant... it’s a sight I never tire of," Jason said with a smile, drifting out of his ship and into the open void.
