Yang Ji wakes up naked and finds himself in the Outer Heaven, with Wu Lun now residing in a ring on a necklace. Wu Lun explains that Yang Ji's cultivation has been transferred to his sister, leaving him vulnerable and unable to interact with his surroundings as before. Yang Ji learns that his sisters have been sent to the Central Heaven, while he must build a new foundation in the harsh Outer Heaven. An immense energy surge signals the beginning of their journey.

“Oh?” Yang Ji exclaimed, his excitement propelling him forward in a dash.

However, as if pouring cold water on the eager youth, Wu Lun issued a warning. “Hey, hey, hey. Who told you to head straight there?”

*Pa* Whether it was because he wasn't quite accustomed to his current strength, or perhaps he was simply taken aback by Wu Lun's words, Yang Ji stumbled. His face planted firmly into the soft leaf litter on the forest floor.

Thanks to the ground’s rich nutrients and soft cushion, Yang Ji escaped injury. However, his entire face and body had certainly received a makeover. If anyone were to call him a beggar, it would be difficult for him to dispute their words.

“Ahh…” With a sigh that conveyed a multitude of emotions, Yang Ji looked up from the ground. He began to complain, “Why didn’t you warn me before I started running?”

“What are you talking about? That was entirely on you. I didn’t tell you to move, did I? Don’t blame me for losing your balance.” Wu Lun retorted, then continued his explanation. “Listen closely. You are now no different from a baby navigating a deathtrap. Do you think you’re the only one who noticed that disturbance? While you could tear through Space and arrive directly at the location in an instant before, you now must traverse a forest, fraught with hidden dangers, on foot. You can’t possibly expect to remain safe if you rush forward like this.”

“You say all that, but aren’t I still heading there in the end?” Yang Ji stood up, dusting off the leaves from his face. He even checked his makeshift ‘clothes’ to ensure they hadn’t dropped off or become damaged.

Fortunately, they still held together. Otherwise, he would have had to create them anew…

“*Tsk tsk tsk*. It’s not the same. Your Divine Sense is limited at this moment. If you were to head directly over there, you would need to cross into the territory of another Divine Spirit.” Wu Lun cautioned him. “Do not forget your identity as a Divine Spirit. Although you tend to favor your Human Form, seeing as your Parents also maintain their Human Forms, you cannot neglect this crucial aspect of yourself.”

Upon hearing this, Yang Ji understood Wu Lun’s explanation. After all, Divine Spirits, the Ancestors of the Monster Race, naturally possessed certain inherited traits. One of these was the consumption of other Divine Spirits to aid in their cultivation. While Yang Ji had never engaged in this himself, he had heard from Mother Shan Qing Luo that it was dangerous for young Divine Spirits to wander alone precisely because of this.

This warning was primarily directed towards Yang Ji’s Brothers and Sisters. However, he now had to heed it with heightened awareness, lacking the ability to tear through Space at will.

“Okay. Okay. I understand. I need to be more careful. But, some of what you’re saying doesn’t quite add up. If there’s a Divine Spirit there, then wouldn’t this entire forest be teeming with Divine Spirits? I’m sure even the area I’m currently in belongs to someone else.” Yang Ji questioned, turning to scan his surroundings once more with his Divine Sense.

“It depends on whose territory you currently occupy. Furthermore, I would never throw you into a Tiger’s den in your current state.”

“You say that, but didn’t you just toss me here practically naked?”

“Hey hey, take it easy. There’s a reason behind my actions. Right now, you are in a safe territory. This is mainly because the ruler of this part of the forest doesn’t concern themselves with lesser beings like you. In essence, you are an ant not worth the effort to stomp on. However, the one ahead… that one is a bit greedier. Even if ants can’t fill the gaps between its teeth, it will still take a bite.” Wu Lun shrugged, stating this matter-of-factly, as if he possessed intimate knowledge of the situation.

“In that case, what am I supposed to do?” Yang Ji inquired.

“Just follow my lead. It will take about three days to reach the destination. And, don’t worry. The opportunity will still be waiting. Also, during this time, do not cultivate, understand? You will travel solely using your physical body.” Wu Lun delivered these instructions with the air of a Master assigning his Disciple to fetch water from the river.

“Yeah, yeah.” Yang Ji conceded, complying with the instruction.

The journey, however, proved to be far more arduous than Yang Ji had initially anticipated.

The route he was required to take didn't just involve the natural paths on the ground. He was made to leap from tree to tree, swim through rapids, scale cliffs, glide through the air using a massive leaf, dive into a lake, and navigate through underwater caverns… the list continued.

Yang Ji, who already looked dishevelled after his initial fall, was now unrecognizable. If he encountered a beggar, even they would take pity on him at this point. His sole garment, the one he had fashioned himself, had been torn apart countless times and painstakingly stitched back together just as many.

Despite his dire condition, his skin remained unmarked by any wounds. This wasn't to say he hadn't sustained injuries; he had, in fact, accumulated numerous scratches and bruises. However, thanks to his innate Phoenix Bloodline, he recovered from all such afflictions within mere minutes.

Concurrently, Yang Ji followed Wu Lun's instructions to the letter, adhering strictly to every piece of advice given. This compliance stemmed not from absolute trust, but from a palpable sense of burgeoning strength over time. While the improvements weren't drastic, Yang Ji could feel a marked enhancement in his bodily control compared to when he first arrived in the Outer Heaven.

Moreover, as he spent time moving through this new environment, he experienced a peculiar sensation—a heightened awareness and appreciation for the world around him. Recalling his previous journeys with Yang Xu, those had been remarkably swift and effortlessly executed. He could traverse from one location to another solely through his will, with each visited place imprinting itself upon him, allowing for its re-experiencing within dreams.

This current endeavor, however, marked the first time he was dedicating such significant effort and time to reaching a single destination. The landscapes he had encountered thus far were truly extraordinary.

Mountains and rivers defied conventional physics; sometimes, rivers surged upstream, and mountains detached from the earth below, suspended in mid-air. Trees manifested in an astonishing array of shapes, colors, and sizes, some so colossal that Yang Ji would need a day or two just to climb to their lowest branches.

He even witnessed a river flowing from a tree's branch, coursing down the trunk, and continuing to the ground. Enormous flying beasts, hundreds of times his size, soared through the skies. In merely three days, he had likely seen more wonders than in his entire lifetime back home.

If given the chance, he desperately wished to share these incredible sights with Yang Xu. However, with their connection severed, all he could do was await the day they would be reunited.

Yet, for that reunion to occur, he first needed to solidify his foundation. And based on Wu Lun's counsel, Yang Ji knew that pivotal moment would arrive today.

“We’ve arrived. It’s up there.”

“Huh? You must be kidding,” Yang Ji exclaimed, perceiving Wu Lun's statement as a jest. Yet, the response he received was unequivocal, tinged with an exasperation as if Wu Lun were thinking, ‘What on earth is this kid talking about?’

“Naturally. The destination is situated above.”

Yang Ji gazed at the scene before him, bewildered.

Before him floated an island, suspended in the sky. Water cascaded from it in torrential waterfalls, crashing onto the ground below.

[Wait. If it’s floating, then how did that earthquake even come about?] Yang Ji mused, his eyes scanning the area and spotting several oval-shaped shadows moving back and forth from the airborne island.

“You can’t possibly expect me to swim up that waterfall, can you? It’s not flowing upwards this time, you know,” Yang Ji pointed out, reminding Wu Lun, who seemed to roll his eyes.

“Of course not. If you were climbing the waterfall when that island decides to descend, you'd be crushed.”

“Um… I suspect I’d still be crushed even if I were on the island itself if it fell,” Yang Ji stated, clearly reluctant to yield on this point.

“Relax. I’ve guided you all this way. Do you truly believe I wouldn't have a solution for your ascent?” Wu Lun replied nonchalantly. “Just wait a moment. Your transport will arrive shortly.”

“Huh?” Yang Ji uttered, looking around perplexed. However, he remained oblivious to the rapidly expanding shadow cast near his feet, directly behind him…
