Su Tu discovers that Zhou Wuliang has gone missing but feels an unsettling calm due to his diminishing emotions. He grapples with his fading humanity as his divine nature grows, questioning if he is still Su Tu or merely a god with his memories. Hua Yun arrives, summoned by Su Tu, and pledges his devotion.

"Rise," Su Tu commanded calmly.

"As you wish."

Hua Yun respectfully rose to his feet.

Su Tu harbored no other thoughts and simply inquired,

"Has Zhou Wuliang of the Human Race gone missing?"

Upon hearing this, Hua Yun nodded, stating, "As expected of my god, all-knowing and all-seeing."

"Lately, the Star River has been plunged into chaos, its peace agreement shattered. The ultimate civilizations have begun capturing Void Spirits, and numerous advanced civilizations are using this as a pretext to annex and invade weaker civilizations.

The Human Race, the Seven Great Alliances, and a few advanced civilizations have abstained from this conflict, choosing to stand by and remain uninvolved."

Hearing this, Su Tu’s gaze descended.

The five ultimate civilizations actually tore up the Star River peace agreement; there must be the influence of World Light behind this. The vessel for World Light in the True King Competition was the bodies of creatures from these five ultimate civilizations.

With the peace agreement destroyed, the Star River is destined for chaos. Advanced civilizations, already covering up their aggressions, now act with impunity.

What could be the purpose behind World Light’s actions?

Su Tu’s gaze deepened slightly, and a peculiar, uncanny tree materialized in his mind. It was a tree whose branches were the Cause and Effect of Godhood, whose fruit was the future of the Immortal Divine, and whose canopy was his own body—a strange tree.

Everything World Light aims to achieve is for that strange tree. When he saw it before, though potent, it was not yet fully mature.

This widespread slaughter across the entire Star River is surely intended to hasten the tree’s maturation.

But the Human Race did not participate, so why did Zhou get into conflict with other races? From what he knows of Zhou, he is not one to randomly slaughter other races.

As Su Tu’s most devoted believer, Hua Yun sensed a hint of divine contemplation and immediately grasped the situation, hastening to explain.

"While the Human Race remained neutral, Zhou Wuliang publicly severed ties with the Human Race, proclaiming that all his actions were his own. He then single-handedly waged war against all the advanced civilizations that participated in the True King Competition. His strength is truly terrifying; even Daoist Masters and those beyond Daoist Masters appear insignificant before him.

The world calls him a madman, and no one comprehends his motives. Before his disappearance, in that battle, he fought alone against nine Daoist Masters and three individuals beyond Daoist Master cultivation, even confronting one Abyss Race Supreme, yet he held his ground. That battle devastated a third of the Moonwatching Star System, with the outcome remaining undecided."

"The Star River fractured, space imploded, triggering a subspace storm that pulled in all sufficiently powerful participants of the war. Various races searched desperately, finding other survivors of the fierce conflict, yet Zhou Wuliang was nowhere to be found."

Hua Yun swiftly and concisely presented all the gathered intelligence.

A lone man waging war, facing nine Daoist Masters, three individuals beyond that level of power, and a Supreme being; shattering a star system without falling behind—Zhou's might left Su Tu in sheer awe.

Though he already knew Zhou was extraordinary, he had not anticipated his capabilities to be of this magnitude.

"A subspace storm..."

Su Tu murmured softly. Being swept away by the subspace storm and vanishing from the known world presents only two possibilities: either Zhou intentionally concealed himself, or he was involuntarily pulled into subspace.

If it’s the former, it remains manageable, but if it’s the latter...

Su Tu experienced a complex swirl of emotions; he ought to have felt concern, but this particular emotion struggled to fully take root.

Suddenly, as if a thought struck him, his brow furrowed, and a keen intuition arose within his heart, gradually easing his expression.

He had entered into the Great Dao Contract with Celestial Extremes, a pact that operated on Heart and Spirit, allowing him to generally sense the other’s condition even when physically apart. Celestial Extremes’ aura was exceptionally stable, accompanied by a vibrant life force, which presumably belonged to Zhou, indicating that Zhou’s physical body was unharmed.

However, he could not pinpoint their exact location.

At the very least, he could confirm that his master was safe and sound.

"Was it... for me?"

This question surfaced in Su Tu’s mind. The races Zhou confronted were precisely those that had participated in the True King Competition. In the world’s eyes, he himself should have perished in that competition; despite being known by name, nearly all the elites from myriad races had met their end.

But knowing Zhou’s extreme protectiveness, with his beloved disciple supposedly dead, it was highly plausible that such actions were taken in a fit of rage.

As these thoughts swirled, Su Tu understood the emotional response he should have felt and the need to quickly absorb the ‘Experience Baby Paradise’ entirely before seeking out Zhou Wuliang to confirm his survival.

However, a profound understanding settled within him: completing these tasks was impossible. The Three Deceits Cult harbored profound secrets, and he could not simply proceed without caution.

With each surge of growth in his body, Su Tu detected an immense, potent energy residing within the grand hall. Beneath this overarching power, two sinister auras lurked, subtly connected to his current physical form.

His present body, it seemed, was indeed the Divine Son of the Muddy World. The undeniable link between these two auras and him ignited a deep suspicion within Su Tu.

Could the so-called Blood Mother and Bone Father, the legendary Three Gods, truly be hidden within this very cathedral?

And the Divine Seal, permanently etched into his Heart and Spirit—this so-called deity—might it, too, transform into delectable sustenance. Su Tu realized with dawning certainty that haste was a luxury he could not afford; a gradual approach was paramount.

His gaze swept past the confines of the great hall, seeming to pierce through innumerable dimensions, catching sight of a pair of crimson eyes...

"Oh, my God above! The false god’s Sect Leader and his three Bishops are plotting in the shadows. Yet, our forces remain feeble, with too few truly venerating the name of the Venerable God. Nevertheless, we stand ready to brave fire and water for the Venerable God! We are willing to..."

Hua Yun declared, a flicker of grim determination crossing his face. He lightly traced a finger across his own neck.

"There is no need for such drastic measures. Chen Yuan serves as rather important 'bait,' after all..."

Su Tu stated calmly, his dark eyes like an unfathomable abyss, shimmering with an unidentifiable luminescence.

.....

Within the cathedral's shadowed underbelly, a hidden sanctum existed, accessible only to Chen Yuan—a place holding the most profound secret, a privilege even the three Archbishops did not possess.

Chen Yuan advanced slowly into the boundless darkness, his footsteps igniting a trail of cold, pallid Bone Fires one after another.

As Chen Yuan journeyed deeper, countless Bone Fires flared into existence. A path constructed from an endless sea of eyeballs rose from the very ground, the orbs swirling with an unsettling semblance of life.

After drawing several deep breaths, Chen Yuan stepped onto this uncanny path. Instantly, the eyeballs swarmed over his body, engulfing him completely.

A slick, invasive sensation spread rapidly across his entire form, the myriad eyeballs seeming to writhe, attempting to burrow into his flesh.

Chen Yuan fought against the rising tide of nausea, his voice a low murmur as he continuously recited passages from the Bible.

With each recitation, the unsettling feeling gradually receded, replaced by an inexplicable warmth and profound peace, akin to a child returning to the comforting embrace of a safe haven.

A tender whisper softly echoed through the void.

"It has been some time since your last visit, my child."

The voice was distinctly feminine, radiating a gentle serenity so potent it could pacify even the most hardened heart.

Her voice resonated with a welcoming mixture of anticipation and pure joy, like a mother greeting a long-lost son returned home.

"Are you encountering any difficulties?"

Another voice emerged, suffused with an overwhelming compassion that instantly instilled a sense of unshakeable security, as if the world could dissolve into chaos, yet his presence guaranteed absolute safety.

This voice possessed the paternal cadence of a father, understated yet brimming with an ocean of unwavering concern.

Yet, facing these two resonant voices, Chen Yuan’s expression remained unchanged by relief. He knelt deeply upon the ground, head bowed in reverence, not daring to look up. His arms were raised high, only to be instantaneously disintegrated into dust by an unseen force.

His voice, filled with unwavering respect and devout fervor, boomed forth:

"I worship the compassionate Bone Father, the merciful Blood Mother!!!"
