Su Tu uncovered the World Light's horrifying scheme: the colossal tree of Godhood Causality was formed from the potential of fallen prodigies across countless reincarnations, possibly to target the Daluo. Whispers from the ancestors revealed conflicting messages: some warned of a trap while others urged advancement, leading to a violent tremor in the tree of causality.

Within the next instant, Su Tu found himself rendered speechless, a sensation of dampness welling in his eyes as two fresh crimson tracks of blood began to trail down his cheeks.

Crack, crack, crack!!

Numerous fissures rapidly spiderwebbed around his eyes. His vision could no longer endure the overwhelming sights it had just processed, and the Eye of Cause and Effect slammed shut immediately.

The divine Cause and Effect of Godhood abruptly vanished. In that final, fleeting moment, a tranquil voice pierced through the now-closed causal network, resonating directly within Su Tu’s very heart.

"Wrong? Whose fault is it? No one is at fault; it’s merely a struggle between life and death, a fight for survival. We who come later have no right to judge right from wrong; whether you advance or retreat, we have no right to advise you. Everything depends on your true heart!!"

Though the voice conveyed a sense of calmness, it harbored a murderous intent far more frenzied than any previously heard.

At this juncture, Su Tu’s eyes were blood-red, laced with a network of crimson threads. Any further attempt to gaze would have resulted in the utter obliteration of his sight.

Yet, despite the immense price paid, Su Tu harbored no regret as his Eternal Life ability activated, instantly mending his grievous wounds.

Every single scene he had just witnessed materialized before his eyes once more.

There stood formidable heroes of the Human Race, each radiating an incredibly terrifying aura. Their strength appeared only marginally inferior to Su Tu’s own.

It is important to note that Su Tu possessed the advantage of his unique Skills and had recently undergone a Golden Liquid transformation. His inherent strength was overwhelmingly superior to that of his contemporaries, enabling him to contend with, and even battle, a genuine Daoist Master.

But to think that these innumerable heroes of the Human Race, suspended from the great tree of causality, were merely slightly weaker than him was utterly astounding.

Even more shocking to Su Tu was the fact that, positioned above these elites who hung like verdant leaves from the tree, were forty-two figures of even greater power.

If the others were likened to green leaves, then these forty-two individuals were undeniably the fruits hanging upon this grand tree.

Each one exuded a breathtaking aura, exuding command, power, and an unparalleled presence. Every single person seemed to be the central protagonist of their own world, commanding absolute attention merely by their existence.

Should they awaken, even Su Tu felt uncertain about his ability to defeat a single one among them.

Forty-two potent beings, forty-two skeletal remains – the numbers aligned perfectly, and Su Tu became certain that these forty-two figures represented the ancestral heroes who had illuminated his path.

Previously, Su Tu had entertained the thought that this world had likely endured countless cycles, making it improbable that only forty-two predecessors had successfully reached this point.

Now, it seemed his hypothesis held true. Those countless figures were, in fact, all the Human Race talents who had attained this stage, and the forty-two were the absolute strongest among them.

Only they possessed the inherent right to shatter the cycle at this juncture and leave behind any lasting traces.

Yet, these very heroes, these illustrious figures, these predecessors who had arrived just as he had, were all suspended from the colossal tree formed by the Cause and Effect of Godhood.

This was precisely what the World Light yearned for!!! This was also the underlying reason the World Light permitted the Human Race to enter this domain.

The Cause and Effect of Godhood for all races, with the Human Race’s most exceptional talents serving as its ultimate fruits!!!

At this precise moment, Su Tu could harbor almost no doubt that this so-called Blood Throne was unequivocally a treacherous conspiracy. Everything related to the True King Competition was nothing more than a grand, elaborate scheme orchestrated by the World Light.

All the various races were merely its unsuspecting pawns!!!

The revelation was overwhelmingly terrifying, so profoundly terrifying that a mere glimpse into the truth proved unbearable for Su Tu, nearly causing the very Eye of Cause and Effect to shatter.

Perhaps this very horror was the reason the predecessors had so desperately warned their followers against venturing further. But then...

What about those predecessors who actively urged them onward?

Su Tu refused to believe those predecessors were incapable of seeing through this deception. They must have perceived the grave situation yet still consciously chose to advance.

Something significant must have transpired amongst them, leading to such a profound and irreconcilable division.

Furthermore, the final voice that echoed as the Eye of Cause and Effect closed had particularly captured Su Tu’s undivided attention.

This was because the words uttered by this voice did not appear on any of the previously inscribed bones.

It was an unprecedented, a solitary, forty-third voice.

An indescribable expression began to form within Su Tu’s eyes.

Upon re-examining the words spoken by those predecessors, he grasped their hidden, profound meaning – it was overwhelmingly heavy...

Yet, at this moment, he could not fully activate the Inference of Heaven, rendering him unable to contemplate everything from an absolute, macro-level perspective. Moreover, this was not the appropriate location for such contemplation because....

Gurgle~

Without granting Su Tu any further moments for deep thought, the ground in the distance became exceptionally porous. A sound akin to bursting mud bubbles emanated, and then countless twisted, pale hands emerged, directly seizing the corpses of the foreign race prodigies.

These hands clutched the lifeless bodies and ascended into the air. They clasped together, grinding the remains into fine dust. Subsequently, one head after another began to rise from the churned earth.

Buzz buzz buzz!!These severed heads spun violently in the air as the contorted, pale hands began to coalesce, forming an enormous, ashen face – a massively inflated human visage. Curiously, this face possessed only a gaping maw, entirely lacking any other features. The heads twirled progressively faster until, at last, they dissolved into a streak of light that surged towards the pale head. Subsequently... the enormous mouth slowly parted, and a crimson tongue unrolled like a scarlet carpet before Su Tu, a constant swirl of unsettling, murky air emanating from it. At the back of that maw, the previously seen oversized, blood-red door reappeared. This time, however, the door stood ajar, revealing the blood-red throne standing quiescently behind it. Bathed in crimson radiance, the throne was illuminated, exuding a halo-like aura – strange yet hallowed, irresistibly drawing the eye. A perilous yet captivating allure pulsed from the throne. The Human Race prodigies, who had been intently focused moments before, seemed to sense a shift at that instant, rising to their feet and involuntarily turning their gazes toward the throne. A subtle crimson hue tinged the lower parts of their eyes, and profound, unadulterated longing saturated every heart. In this very moment, an apparently endless ascending staircase manifested before each onlooker atop the throne, each step ablaze with a heart-thrilling luminescence. A voice resonated, proclaiming that by traversing these steps, power, riches, dominion, the future destiny of the Human Race, and indeed, the entire Star River would be theirs to command and subjugate!! Those yearning for greater strength perceived a path far surpassing the Martial Arts Dao; those desiring wealth and resources envisioned an boundless ocean of gold surging towards them; those craving dominion imagined all races subjugating themselves, with the Human Race achieving celestial heights!! Countless fragmented thoughts, an uncountable array of trivialities, merged into a singular, unshakeable aspiration... Ascension to Divinity!!! Without any prelude, without a sound, without even a visible initiator. It was simply known that within the third second of the throne’s manifestation... the Human Race prodigies simultaneously erupted into action, converging upon the throne, their eyes ablaze with crimson, treating anything obstructing their path as an adversary. Bang!! Rumble!!! They held no hesitation, expending the meager True Qi remaining within them, lashing out at the very comrades with whom they had recently shared perilous moments, each strike imbued with deadly ferocity. Everything transpired with blinding speed; Su Tu desired to intervene, but the instant the thought formed, an awareness seemed to dawn upon everyone present. They abruptly ceased their actions, turning in unison to confront Su Tu, their crimson eyes utterly devoid of prior emotion, reflecting only pure desire and savage intent for Ascension to Divinity. In that critical instant, Su Tu felt the collective hostility surge towards him, his very strength instigating their universal enmity. A singular thought seemed to crystallize in every mind. So long as Su Tu draws breath, Ascension to Divinity remains an impossibility!! Then, like a ravenous pack, the Human Race turned upon themselves, charging en masse towards the ‘king’ who had once been their protector.
