Luis's women launch a counterattack against their rivals by creating multiple social media accounts and hosting livestreams. Luis supports them by promoting their content and investing in their accounts. The next day, Luis has breakfast with his father and then spends the day with Maria before preparing to stay with his sister Elara.

The community where Elara Ye lived was called Times Garden. After Luis parked the car, he found a mall nearby to kill time, waiting for his father.

When Sebastian Ye got out of the car, he instructed, "Yong, take the pickled vegetables and salted fish in the car over to the old master. He likes having congee these days, he'll surely enjoy them."

"I'll just take a cab back later."

"Will do!"

A smile crept onto Yong's face.

This meant the old master fully acknowledged Luis's existence, even though they avoided excessive closeness to prevent gossip.

But when the time was right, Sebastian Ye, this newfound father, would absolutely take his son to meet the family patriarch.

They found a random Northeast Chinese restaurant near the community entrance. Even though there were only two of them, they still got a private room.

"One serving of pork stew with pickled cabbage, one serving of boiled tripe, one serving of braised beef strips, one serving of cold tofu skin salad, and one serving of lamb dumplings."

Sebastian Ye was in high spirits. Though he usually barely touched alcohol, he picked out a bottle of baijiu from the shop.

The food arrived quickly. The father and son, both hungry, took a few bites before raising their glasses.

After some casual small talk, Sebastian Ye chuckled and asked, "Luis, how are you planning to spend the New Year?"

Luis was taken aback. "Dad, even though I'm technically a live-in son-in-law in name, I've got my own home now. I'll definitely spend it with my wife and kids."

"Makes sense!!"

Sebastian Ye paused for a moment, then said softly, "We'll be very busy during the New Year as well. But when things settle down after the fifteenth, we'll pick a day and I'll take you back to the family's ancestral home."

"You'll meet the old master, and your younger brothers and sisters!!!"

Luis was completely stunned. This so-called father was only bound to him through a hack, and even interacting with him alone felt awkward.

Now he had to deal with a whole bunch of unfamiliar relatives, this was practically a damn battlefield.

Sebastian Ye had given this a lot of thought before bringing it up. On one hand, the old master had already acknowledged the existence of this grandson, of course, with the precondition that everything must remain strictly confidential.

He wasn't a softhearted man who would act irrationally out of guilt.

The reason he proposed this was mainly because he genuinely approved of this son. He was measured in his actions, had a good sense of boundaries, and was well-mannered, he wouldn't embarrass the family.

"We'll see how it goes!"

Luis said vaguely.

Sebastian Ye didn't push further, just asking about Luis's current life.

At eleven, he took a cab back. Tomorrow he would be leaving, and he felt a slight reluctance.

"Luis!!"

Elara Ye's call came through, carrying a hint of weariness as she asked, "Why aren't you at home????"

Luis felt a surge of warmth and immediately said, "I'm on my way up!!"

Elara Ye opened the door, and with a hint of weariness that she couldn't quite hide, she sniffed the air and asked, "You went drinking with your dad?"

Luis scratched his head apologetically and said, "Just a little. He's leaving tomorrow."

"Don't just stand there like a block of wood. Come in."

Luis stepped inside immediately. It was a spacious three-bedroom, two-living-room apartment. Not quite a mansion, but the living conditions were definitely better than most people's.

The décor was bright and minimalist, and it was clear a lot of thought had gone into the design. It looked comfortable no matter how you viewed it.

But it was too tidy, lacking the lived-in warmth of a real home. There was no mess, no casual clutter. It felt more like a luxury hotel suite than someone's residence.

It seemed this sister had a bit of a neat freak streak...

Luis changed into slippers and followed her in. Elara sat down and picked up a slim women's cigarette.

Just as she brought it to her lips, Luis pulled out a lighter and leaned in. Elara's pretty face showed a hint of surprise, then she accepted it without a second thought, took a puff, and giggled, "Luis really does have good instincts. No wonder Third Uncle can't stop praising you."

"Third Sister, your place is immaculate. Mine's practically a messy doghouse in comparison."

Luis had no idea how many siblings the Sebastian family had, or how many in each generation. He just called her what Sebastian Ye had told him to call her.

Luis also lit a cigarette and naturally started laying on the flattery.

Elara gave a charming smile and shot him a playful glare. "Are you complimenting me or calling me lazy? I only spend about half the week here."

"Your brother-in-law's office is far away, so he moved out. We've been separated for a while now. This place is pretty cold and lifeless."

"The cleaning lady comes every two days to tidy up and do my laundry. I'm famously lazy, you know."

Chatting with her was relaxed and pleasant. Presumably, with Sebastian Ye's endorsement, she genuinely treated Luis as one of her own.

Then Elara gave him the general rundown. For now, being her driver wasn't too demanding, mostly just picking her up and dropping her off for work.

She felt that calling a rideshare was actually more convenient, or even driving herself. The downside to rideshares was going to remote places where it was hard to get a ride back.

The biggest hassle with driving herself in the capital, where land was worth its weight in gold, was finding parking, even if you were willing to pay, spots were hard to come by, and it wasted a ton of time.

As she spoke, her stomach let out an audible growl. Elara slapped her forehead sheepishly and said, "Oh, I forgot I barely ate any dinner."

"I only had a couple of bites of that boxed lunch before something came up, and I got so busy I completely forgot."

Her ditsy workaholic demeanor was actually quite endearing. Luis got up and walked toward the fridge, smiling, "Let me whip you up something to eat."

"You can cook??"

Elara's eyes lit up.

"Pretty much the only thing I haven't done is get a chef's license."

Luis said jokingly.

He opened her fridge and froze. It was practically empty, just beer. The only things that could even count as food were a few packs of pickled vegetables and some preserved mustard greens.

He checked the freezer, same story. It didn't look like a fridge belonging to someone who actually lived there. You'd believe it if someone said it was a rental.

Elara said sheepishly, "I never have time to grocery shop or cook. I don't even have time to buy packaged food. There's more snacks in my office fridge than in this one."

Luis glanced at the instant noodles nearby and shook his head. "You can't keep eating that stuff."

Elara stretched languidly and said, "I've already given you the keys. Go downstairs and grab some food. I'm going to take a shower, my whole body aches and I really don't feel like moving."

Luckily, there were plenty of restaurants downstairs. Luis had no idea what she liked, so he bought a random assortment of everything and headed back upstairs.

Elara showered quickly, in just twenty minutes, she was done. She came out wearing a purple camisole nightgown that was quite sexy.

It wasn't overly revealing, but you could clearly see the transparent straps of her bra underneath, and the neckline offered a tantalizing glimpse of pale cleavage that sparked the imagination.

The nightgown was loose, but it still revealed the fullness of her mature figure, curvaceous and devilishly tempting.

She was clearly hiding a lot beneath her professional work attire. Now that he had a better look, he could tell her chest was nothing to sneeze at.

Elara had already dried her hair. She couldn't be bothered to deal with the clothes she'd taken off, the cleaning lady would handle it when she came.

"Whoa, not bad at all, kid. Money really talks!"

Elara plopped down onto the chair casually, crossing her legs in a very relaxed posture. There was none of that prim and proper lady-like restraint, she was free-spirited and natural, anything but demure.
