Winslet successfully finalized Chloe's divorce and secured her child's custody. Luis thanked Winslet for her help, and Chloe presented Winslet with a pair of jadeite earrings as a token of appreciation. Luis then gifted Brook an amethyst pendant, leading to an intimate moment between them. Meanwhile, Hela prepared gifts for her daughter-in-law and Ruth.

"Most importantly, this beautiful thing here, I haven't seen it before!"

Seizing the moment, Luis lowered his head and whispered into her ear, "Be good now, don't hide. Let Senior Brother get a better look."

"Absolutely not!"

Her playful retort made Luis's heart race uncontrollably.

A girl who behaved herself, with an emotional history as pristine as fresh snow, was incredibly captivating when teased. Luis continued to whisper into her ear, inquiring, "So, Junior Sister, do you like this necklace or not?"

Brook let out a demure snort, not pulling away, her ears even blushing a most adorable shade of red.

Clutching the necklace, she spoke with a hint of apprehension, "Senior Brother, this is far too valuable. I was only joking earlier. Don't worry, I won't mention it to your wife."

"I knew Junior Sister was the best. Knowing you like this surprise gift is all that matters. Actually, Senior Brother has another surprise he wishes to bestow upon you."

"What is it???"

"Close your eyes!!"

Brook complied, closing her eyes without a second thought. This time, with a lecherous chuckle, Luis tilted her chin up and planted a kiss on her lips.

Instantly, Brook's eyes shot open in shock, her body trembling as she instinctively pushed against Luis.

Like a startled kitten, she covered her mouth, shoved Luis away with a shiver, and fled into the pantry.

Witnessing such an extreme reaction, Luis was momentarily taken aback. It was merely a brief, superficial kiss; hardly warranting such a drastic response.

Luis followed her into the pantry. Seeing Brook still covering her lips, seemingly in a state of shock, he approached and asked, "What's wrong, little Brook? Was that your first kiss??"

"What do you think!"

Brook shot back, lashing out at him with her delicate fists, her voice filled with indignation, "Stinky Senior Brother, you are truly wicked. You have a wife and another woman, yet you still take advantage of me."

Her demeanor indicated she wasn't genuinely upset. Luis let out a roguish chuckle and moved to embrace her, but at that moment, Chloe's voice echoed from outside.

It appeared their conversation had concluded. Luis knew his opportunity for further dalliance had passed, so he leaned in once more, pulled her close, and planted a kiss on her cheek.

"Of course, I must take liberties with my darling Junior Sister. You smell so wonderfully fragrant…"

Luis exited the pantry with a smug grin. Brook touched her face, which was now completely flushed, and stomped her foot in a manner most endearing.

"What have you two been up to!"

Winslet inquired with a teasing laugh. Luis quipped, "My little Junior Sister here simply can't handle a joke. I merely asked if she had a boyfriend, and her face turned that red."

Upon hearing this, Winslet suspected nothing and playfully rolled her eyes at Luis, remarking, "Young people are sensitive. Stop teasing her."

Chloe, clutching the documents, chimed in with a laugh, "Husband, the divorce certificate will be ready in a couple of days. What a shame though, it's a divorce and not widowhood."

"What's the difference??"

Brook asked, exhibiting a natural air of ditziness.

Chloe offered an enigmatic smile, looped her arm through Luis's again, and said with a mischievous glint, "There's a vast difference. What sort of allure does a divorced young woman possess?"

"For you men, playing with a widow is far more satisfying."

"Right, husband?!"

Her statement seemed to imply that was indeed the case. Hearing this, Brook's face flushed beet red once more.

Winslet, finding the situation both humorous and exasperating, intervened, "Enough now, you two. Don't tease the child excessively."

This adulterous pair no longer cared to conceal their actions from onlookers; it was truly a sign of moral decline.

Today marked her freedom, and they could finally share a meal together. Winslet took the wheel, with Brook as her passenger.

The Benz C was currently in for maintenance. Luis, riding shotgun in Chloe's car, was naturally unable to curb his behavior. As they drove, he began caressing her fair, tender, and smooth thigh. With a lewd grin, he demanded, "Confess honestly, exactly what are you and my sister-in-law plotting in secret."

"Nancy has been adamant about keeping it a secret all along. Why don't you ask her directly instead?"

Chloe responded with a laugh, her expression radiating infinite allure and charm. Her bewitching, silken eyes met his as she said, "What's the matter? Don't tell me you two are having a tiff just because she made up with Daniel? I have complete faith in your capabilities, you know."

"Stop trying to deflect. If you don't spill the beans, your husband might just banish you to the cold palace."

"So bothersome. In just a couple of days, I'll have her tell you herself, saving you the trouble of saying I have a lover and neglect my friends, that I forget loyalty at the sight of beauty."

Hearing such words issuing from her lips was a heaven-defying inversion of norms that filled one with an inward sense of smugness.

After collecting Lily, who had just finished her workday, they all proceeded together to a pre-booked hotpot restaurant. A pregnant woman's cravings were of the utmost importance.

It was a Beijing-style establishment featuring a copper furnace hotpot, naturally specializing in hand-sliced fresh mutton. Any place that dared to claim authenticity yet served frozen slices would be cursed to oblivion.

Within the private dining room, Chloe and Lily pored over the menus, chattering and discussing animatedly, conversing and laughing with effortless grace.

Brook remained demurely to the side, absorbed in her phone. Luis was merely sipping tea when Winslet nudged his arm and discreetly offered him a thumbs-up.

"Freaking amazing!"

"You are too kind."

For the primary wife and the bewitching outsider to be able to sit together in such a manner and coexist harmoniously... Even though Lily was not yet privy to the full extent of this relationship, achieving such a level of accord was truly the mark of a masterful man.

The simple exchange was profoundly understanding, with all comprehension left unspoken.
