Qian Hao, facing ruin, chooses to sacrifice his wife and daughter to save his assets. Shi Mei reveals he has investigated Qian Hao, presenting a photo of his illegitimate teenage daughter to exert further pressure. Enraged, Qian Hao attacks Shi Mei but is quickly subdued by his subordinate.

"Take him away and cripple him."

Under Shi Mei's order, his subordinates immediately stepped forward to seize Qian Hao. They swiftly covered his head with a black bag and dragged him into a dilapidated van as if he were already dead.

It wasn't until Qian Hao was completely out of sight that Shi Keke finally registered the commotion. Upon seeing Shi Mei, her brows knitted together.

She really should have considered it sooner. Who else, if not someone from the prestigious Shi Family, would dare to act so brazenly, committing acts of violence and even murder?

It reminded her of the incident with the illegally parked car at the traffic lights, which had caused a massive jam. That whole situation was resolved with just a few words.

Perhaps sensing Shi Keke's gaze upon him, Shi Mei turned his head. As their eyes met, the corners of his mouth slowly curved upwards into a smile.

Shi Keke emerged from the protective cordon of the black-clad guards and hurried towards him. Standing before him, her frown deepened. "Brother, don't you know that murder is against the law? It's not something money can easily absolve you of. You're being far too conspicuous. If Grandpa finds out about this, won't it send him into a terrible rage?"

"I took his life, and I will face whatever consequences arise. As for Grandpa, I know precisely how to handle the explanation," Shi Mei replied casually, his demeanor utterly relaxed, as if discussing trivial matters unrelated to himself.

"It's true you're the one who killed him, but there must be a motive. And your motive stems from me, which means the repercussions are indirectly my fault. In essence, I'm complicit in this murder." Shi Keke raised an eyebrow. "The Shi Family's rules are so stringent, they don't even permit me to smoke, let alone commit murder. I’m genuinely worried I might be disowned."

"Being disowned would be even better." Shi Mei took a large stride towards her. When he was about half a meter away, he grasped her wrist and pulled her into his embrace. Leaning close to her ear, he whispered, "Then we could finally be together openly."

As he spoke, he gently nibbled on her earlobe, his voice dropping to a lower register. "Just like this."

Shi Keke tried to push him away. "I'm not even disowned yet, and you're already acting this shamelessly. If I were truly removed from the family, you'd probably devour me right here in public."

Shi Mei held onto her hand, refusing to release his grip. With a subtle maneuver, she unexpectedly stumbled right into his arms.

Shi Mei circled his arms around her waist, preventing her from moving and gazing intently into her eyes for a few moments. He then freed one hand to gently tuck a stray strand of hair behind her forehead.

"I've already given it considerable thought." He smirked, a wicked and unrestrained grin that was so mischievous it sent a shiver down one's spine.

"You'd best abandon that idea entirely, because I absolutely refuse to engage in any intimate relations before marriage," Shi Keke stated, meeting his gaze. "Besides, I'm not even certain if I can spend my entire life with you, so I'm definitely not considering anything of that nature. If you attempt to force my hand, I assure you, I will scream."

"Then go ahead and scream now if you dare." Shi Mei tightened his hold, pressing her body firmly against his as he stared down at her with unwavering intensity.

"Ah..." True to her word, she let out a scream, proving she was a woman of action, not just empty threats.

"Louder," Shi Mei commanded impassively, his thin lips curling slightly.

"Ah! Ah..." Shi Keke complied readily, her two cries of "ah" sounding more enchanting than ever, easily leading any listener’s thoughts astray.
