Lord of Mysteries 2: Circle of Inevitability Chapter 1175: Bearer of the Eternal Aeon
Previously on Lord of Mysteries 2: Circle of Inevitability...
Centered around a pitch-black point, the consciousness space continued its fiery collapse. Lumian, maintaining his form of three heads, three torsos, and six arms, rested his middle pair of hands upon the armrests of his blood-drenched throne. Leaning back against the seat, he watched with tranquil eyes as the entire dimension crumbled into ruin.
He sensed the horrific fluctuations triggered by the clash of diverse symbolisms, yet he found himself unable to halt or conclude the ongoing destruction at this moment.
Abruptly, he observed a shift: the Monarch of Decay, previously engulfed by the essence of Termination, was replaced. In its stead stood an avatar of the Circle of Inevitability, manifested from the light of redemption.
Lumian was momentarily stunned, but then a laugh escaped him as he leaned forward slightly.
So, this was the true intent behind the suggestion to utilize 'the universe's most powerful and genuine Angel of Redemption.'
Whenever a catastrophe capable of annihilating the cosmos arose, the divine instincts of the Circle of Inevitability would force Him to enact salvation!
This likely represented His most fundamental symbolism, explaining why He was born as the progeny of the Original Creator and the Mother Goddess of Depravity.
While the Goddess of Fate represented the organization of chaotic destiny into a structured form—the basis of the modern River of Fate—the Circle of Inevitability represented the potential for deliverance during apocalyptic turning points caused by destiny’s natural chaos. This allowed the universe to persist in a state of relative stability until its final conclusion.
Once the Sequence 1 avatar of the Circle of Inevitability Substituted the Monarch of Decay inside Lumian's disintegrating form, the manifestation of the Termination symbolism slowed significantly. Nevertheless, the process did not cease entirely; it soon began to gain momentum once more.
Watching this, the three bodies of the Circle of Inevitability performed identical hand signs simultaneously. His primary form started to shrink and fade, leaving behind only the radiance of redemption. Simultaneously, the Angel of Redemption avatar within Lumian expanded rapidly, manifesting a pitch-black Past Sinner Body alongside a mercury-hued Present Sufferer Body.
The Circle of Inevitability utilized His true body to take the place of the avatar, physically entering Lumian to confront the encroaching forces of Termination!
The universe's most powerful and genuine Angel of Redemption!
The power of Termination continued its consumption, causing the consciousness space to implode toward the black singularity. At that instant, the six arms of the Circle of Inevitability reached out in unison, cradling the terrifying black point as if it were a delicate lotus flower.
His three distinct bodies bore the brunt of the Termination power’s devastation together.
Then, the three forms unfolded in a bizarre, non-human fashion, surrounding the black point held within the six palms and beginning a rapid rotation.
The spinning intensified. The black hue shifted to mercury, then mercury turned into transparent redemptive light, which was then stained black again in a continuous cycle.
Shortly after, the black Past Sinner Body transformed into the initial moment the Termination power began to form. The mercury Present Sufferer Body stabilized the current state of ruin. The Future Redemption Body, composed of holy light, froze the exact moment the Termination symbolism was on the verge of emerging but was not yet fully realized.
Following this, the rapidly spinning Future Redemption Body turned black once more, shifting into the state represented by the Past Sinner Body.
Lumian’s failing body suddenly snapped back to its previous state—the moment right as the Termination power surfaced but before it had solidified into symbolism. His shattered limbs, abdomen, chest, and other injuries were instantly mended.
Eternal Aeon symbolism!
By wielding His Eternal Aeon symbolism, the Circle of Inevitability successfully achieved Redemption.
He immediately permitted His external Sequence 1 avatar to once again replace His true form, sealing it within Lumian. His true body returned to the physical realm, regenerating the Past Sinner Body and the Present Sufferer Body.
Moving forward, the Angel of Redemption avatar would decelerate the evolution of Termination power into symbolism within Lumian. It would also help stabilize the spirit and consciousness of the awakening malevolent dragon. When the delayed process once again reached a breaking point, the true body of the Circle of Inevitability would swap with the avatar, enter Lumian’s dream, and utilize the Symbolism of Eternal Aeon to reset the disaster to its starting point.
In practice, His true body would suffer destruction alongside Lumian every single day due to the Termination power. This loop would occur daily, forever!
Seeing the crisis averted through redemption, the Circle of Inevitability did not delay and departed for the astral world.
Neither the newly ascended Lord of Mysteries Klein, who had just emerged from a Door, nor the massive crimson moon above made any move to block His path.
Upon reaching a remote corner of the infinite universe via the astral world, the Circle of Inevitability once again called forth the River of Fate.
Within the illusory, mercury-colored waters, His reflections—which had previously belonged to the Monarch of Decay—had been reclaimed as His own through the power of Substitution symbolism.
This established a deep, mystical bond between Him and the Monarch of Decay.
He located a trail of crumbling, ancient planets and began to follow the path they indicated.
...
After the departure of the Circle of Inevitability, Lumian regained his composure. He stood once more as the true Origins of Disaster and Calamity of Destruction, now harboring even more potent and active masculine and feminine aspects of the mirrored Original Creator. These forces were converging, nearly ready to manifest as a new symbolism.
Lumian grasped his current circumstances in an instant.
For the following hour, he would maintain his peak state, capable of wielding the full authority of a Great Old Dominator.
Once that hour passed, his physical form would begin to break down, and the Disaster symbolism would spiral out of control, raining catastrophes upon the nearby star dominion. Only by entering a deep sleep could he mitigate these effects and slow the culmination of the Termination power.
This state would persist for 22 hours. Then, the true body of the Circle of Inevitability would take the place of the Sequence 1 avatar in Lumian’s dream, endure an hour of destruction to achieve Eternal Aeon, and return Lumian’s body to its initial condition.
Realizing this, Lumian stopped, feeling a mix of amusement and contemplation.
Essentially, I have a Sequence 1 Angel of the Inevitability pathway trapped inside me, resetting my physical condition every 24 hours...
After all these complications, it feels like I’ve returned to where I started...
However, the nature of fate was ultimately chaotic, and the details didn't perfectly match—during that final hour, the entity sealed within wasn't just a Sequence 1 Angel, but Inevitability Himself. Furthermore, the reset didn't occur at 6 a.m., but at 12:30 p.m. daily.
After a brief pause, Lumian looked up.
The crimson moon in the sky began its descent once more.
The Mother Goddess of Depravity had returned to the battlefield!
In response to this development, the figure of Lord of Mysteries Klein, wearing his top hat and coat, expanded to an enormous size and rose to meet Her.
Origins of Disaster Lumian charged toward Primordial Hunger without a second thought, intending to take the place of Grisha Adam and face the Great Old Dominator.
Eternal Darkness Amanises first cast a shroud of thick, silent shadows over the nearly compromised Grisha Adam. With His help, She guided Him into slumber to stall the awakening of the Primordial God Almighty, then joined the projections of the Celestial Master and Celestial Thearch in their struggle against the High-Dimensional Overseer.
A moment later, She felt that the badly wounded Inextinguishable Ravings had apparently returned!
Amanises quickly evaluated the battlefield to determine the best course of action.
Currently, the Mother Tree of Desire, the Monarch of Decay, and the Circle of Inevitability were unable to continue fighting and, along with the Uncertain Mist, were no longer threats. Among the others, the Supernova Dominator would remain imprisoned for a few more minutes, making Him irrelevant to the immediate fight. Meanwhile, the Goddess of Fate required another ten to twenty seconds to navigate the labyrinth and exit the spirit world.
Right now, the only active adversaries were the Mother Goddess of Depravity, Primordial Hunger, the High-Dimensional Overseer, and the weakened Inextinguishable Ravings. However, if the battle wasn't ended quickly and lasted until the Goddess of Fate returned, or until the Primordial God Almighty's revival became unstoppable, then all hope would be lost.
With a clear view of the situation, Eternal Darkness Amanises made a firm decision.
The Lord of Mysteries would stall the Mother Goddess of Depravity. Origins of Disaster Lumian would take on Primordial Hunger. The Knowledge Moor, Nation of Disorder, and the nearly-awake Key of Light would keep the High-Dimensional Overseer occupied. Amanises would use the conflict between symbolisms to ensure the injured Inextinguishable Ravings was driven off or destroyed in short order!
This needed to happen before the Goddess of Fate could return. The Primordial God Almighty’s awakening would likely take a bit longer.
Amanises immediately sent the heavy, silent darkness spreading outward, searching for the incorporeal Great Old Dominator, while preparing to write the name of Inextinguishable Ravings upon the illusory book wrapped in feathered serpents.
Simultaneously, Lumian arrived above Primordial Hunger.
His central body reformed the flaming Sword of Destruction, and he sent a mental command to Ludwig at the universe's edge. "Call me Father!"
Ludwig, who had consumed the Chaos Gastric Juices and was currently aiding the Red Angel Legion, was briefly confused before instinctively yelling out, "Father!"
At that moment, Primordial Hunger, appearing as a swirling dark vortex, seemed to hear a version of Himself calling the enemy above "Father," leaving Him completely bewildered.
But a second later, He felt a familiar presence coming from Lumian—the aura of the entity who had birthed this world and would eventually end it. He witnessed the creation of all things and the freezing of the cosmos.
Wh—
In the primal instincts of Primordial Hunger, a single word surfaced: "Father!"
He felt as though he had met his actual father!
He began to shake and froze in the emptiness of space.
Seeing this, Lumian grinned.
Drawing the power of Primordial Hunger from the Box of the Great Old Ones for Ludwig to eat wasn't just to create a Sequence 1 Archangel for defense. Lumian had planned to create a symbolic link!
Now, Ludwig possessed power taken directly from Primordial Hunger. He had also long ago accepted Lumian as his godfather—his father.
This constituted a symbolism.
While applying this symbolism to Primordial Hunger was difficult, Lumian possessed both the male and female traits of the mirrored Original Creator, who was the true progenitor of Primordial Hunger!
Naturally, the symbolic tie between Ludwig and Primordial Hunger was too faint to truly make Lumian the father of Primordial Hunger. It could only produce illusions and minor influence. Such a thing would barely affect other Great Old Dominators, but for a creature of pure instinct like Primordial Hunger, it was effective.
Combined with Mr. Fool’s Deceit, "perhaps" became "certainty." This was why Lumian had first attacked the Monarch of Decay—so Mr. Fool wouldn't be too busy to assist. Furthermore, the contract seal could only borrow one power at a time. If he used Foolishness, he couldn't use Deceit. Also, had Lumian targeted Primordial Hunger initially, the Circle of Inevitability might have saved Him.
Now, Lumian didn't need Mr. Fool's help. Following the recent events, the masculine and feminine traits of the mirrored Original Creator within him had become much more potent.
That was more than enough to trick Primordial Hunger!
As Primordial Hunger remained paralyzed, Lumian's entire form erupted in crimson fire. Gripping the Sword of Destruction, he dove from above and struck.
The blade plunged straight into the dark vortex of Primordial Hunger.
Primordial Hunger shrieked in agonizing pain, and the vortex vomited out everything it had recently eaten but not yet processed.
Overcome by fear, He fled toward the astral world, his body covered in cracks and wreathed in the flames of destruction. Terrified and lost, He hurried away from the conflict.
In a mere two seconds, Lumian had severely wounded Primordial Hunger and forced Him to retreat, finishing his objective.
In the name of the Father!
