Longevity, starting from being a chicken raising servant Chapter 2325: 175: Audience (Part 4)
Previously on Longevity, starting from being a chicken raising servant...
“Why hasn’t Wang Ba arrived yet? Has he truly been blocked by the Cloud Sky Sect?”
“Junior Brother…”
The frail old man’s countenance turned pale, his vital energy almost depleted. He slumped into the supporting embrace of the disciples, gazing vacantly at the ochre-robed figure tumbling downward like a fading petal amid the onslaught from the Three Arhats. A wave of despair and profound grief surged within him:
“Ultimately, the Cloud Sky Sect has forsaken us…”
As the young man in ochre robes dropped from the heavens, the Three Arhats prepared to chase after him once again.
Right then.
Boom!
The colossal Bodhisattva Dharma Form, towering like a mountain and bombarding the formation’s barrier node, suddenly plummeted from above without warning!
It smashed into the barrier, forcing it to bend inward!
Via the clear barrier, those beneath could clearly make out the gigantic visage of the Bodhisattva Dharma Form flattened against it. Its golden form was fractured, Demonic Qi seeping out, carrying a trace of confusion, while its gaze had already grown dull…
“It’s dead, dead?!”
The cultivators from the Three Sects stood frozen in shock.
The withered features of the frail old man abruptly gained a flush of color; he strained his eyes wide open!
“Is it possible…?”
Hui Yunzi first recoiled in surprise, then his gaze swiftly lit up!
He swiftly turned his attention to the ochre-robed form descending through the air.
There, a massive yellow hand materialized quietly from the emptiness beneath, softly catching the ochre-robed figure.
The three Arhats closing in from overhead spotted this enormous yellow hand and the fallen Bodhisattva nearby, causing their heads to tingle with dread instantly!
“That’s him!”
“What brings this disaster upon us?!”
Without hesitation, they dispersed and bolted away immediately!
Yet before they managed to escape far, yet another immense yellow hand, resembling a descending cloud, appeared from the sky overhead and swept down!
A fierce wind whipped up.
Like plucking tiny candies, this yellow giant hand seized the three Arhats, swiftly pulling them into the void.
Together with them vanished the Bodhisattva’s corpse, slain amid the chaos over the Great Array, and every other monk present.
In that instant, apart from the fissures in the Sky Dome steadily widening and crumbling, the sun blazed overhead, casting an illusion of calm.
A lone green-robed silhouette hovered in the air, calmly withdrawing his sleeve before aiding the ochre-robed figure from a distance, and gently alighting.
“Could he be… True Man Taiyi?!”
The frail old man pushed himself upright with effort, staring at the swiftly nearing green-robed form. Despite the lavish commendations from his Junior Brother and Sect Master Hui Yunzi, along with endless tales of this heir from eras ahead, he couldn’t suppress a expression of astonishment upon seeing it unfold before him!
He and his Junior Brother had poured every ounce of power into confronting those Arhats, yet here a Bodhisattva lay defeated with such ease right in front of him…
This stark disparity left him feeling like he was trapped in a dream, overwhelmed by a sharp feeling of disbelief.
Only when the silhouette drifted closer, softly guiding the ochre-robed figure through the barrier, and proclaimed in a resonant voice:
“Wang Ba of the Wanxiang Sect in the Little Cang World, pays respect to the Chongyuan Patriarch.”
Inside the barrier, the gathered cultivators, ignorant of the background, erupted in commotion.
“Wang Ba…”
The frail old man snapped out of his daze, compelled himself to rise, and examined Wang Ba, who seemed far less intimidating and more poised and ethereal than the stories described.
A smile of relief crossed his face, and he called out with enthusiasm:
“Excellent! Excellent!”
“Your judgment by my Junior Brother and Hui Yunzi was spot on… What is the current state of the Wanxiang Sect in the Little Cang World?”
As he spoke, the longer he observed, the more solace filled his chest.
His cheeks reddened with thrill, and delight swelled in his soul.
Differing from his master and Junior Brother’s self-centered views, he cherished the disciples above all. Witnessing a prodigy like True Man Taiyi rise in the Little Cang World now brought him an overwhelming sense of ease.
Beyond the barrier, Wang Ba regarded the elder who mirrored the sect’s portrait by seventy or eighty percent, though far more haggard and depleted. Emotions churned within him as well.
It resembled a lofty summit glimpsed from the base ages past, once so remote and impossible, but now he occupied its heights.
Little thrill stirred, just a subtle happiness, a mild bewilderment, and ultimately, serenity.
Meanwhile.
Upon the Sky Dome, the realm membrane, riddled with fractures, at last buckled under the strain, shattering with a thunderous roar as a piece tumbled from beyond into the domain!
A voice brimming with mercy echoed next:
“Supreme True Buddha, all sentient beings suffer, we have come to lead you to the Realm of Extreme Bliss!”
