Longevity, starting from being a chicken raising servant Chapter 2295: 165: Magical Combat, Part 2
Previously on Longevity, starting from being a chicken raising servant...
At that precise instant, a bone-chilling wind swept past his ears. Before he could even process the sensation, a massive force struck, shattering half of his skull!
With only a single eye remaining, he stared wide-eyed at the figure manifesting before him. A green-robed Taoist stood there, extending a hand that was a mere half-foot away from finishing him.
A suffocating dread flooded his heart, leaving him paralyzed with terror!
“Just... just a breath more!”
“If I had been a moment slower, I would have perished right here!”
Across from him, Wang Ba slowly pulled back his hand, a hint of disappointment flashing in his eyes.
Had the opponent not cried out his surrender, Wang Ba would have ended his life on the spot. However, the declaration had been made so loudly that it was impossible for Wang Ba to claim he hadn't heard it.
Losing interest, he turned away and reached out, casually beckoning the Earth Yellow Treasure Bead that the Yellow-skinned Bodhisattva had left behind.
Fire Lotus Bodhisattva’s complexion shifted between sickly blue and dark black, yet he lacked the courage to utter another word. He retracted the Venerable Victory Banner and flew back toward the assembly of monks. Bowing his head in deep humiliation before the Great Bodhisattva, he spoke:
“Great Bodhisattva, on this occasion, Wisdom Grateful was incompetent. I am prepared to submit to punishment.”
The Eastern Great Bodhisattva gazed down with an expression of mercy, noting the Fire Lotus Bodhisattva’s mangled head and the Demonic Qi clashing with his Golden Body. He gave a slow nod:
“Your merit is insufficient; go and undergo your penance.”
After a brief silence, he looked toward the surrounding monks and asked in a quiet tone:
“Who among you is capable of contending with this man?”
The various Bodhisattvas and Arhats traded uncertain glances.
Fire Lotus Bodhisattva was superior to the Yellow-skinned Bodhisattva in both status and Cultivation. Seeing him defeated with such ease made even those stronger than him feel a sense of trepidation.
It was then that a heavy, resonant voice echoed from the left:
“Wisdom Truth is prepared to step forth.”
The Eastern Great Bodhisattva turned his head slightly to see a gaunt monk seated upon a black, single-horned ox. His features were etched with sorrow. The Bodhisattva nodded, looking relieved:
“Excellent.”
The monks showed visible signs of respect upon seeing this volunteer, clearly holding him in extremely high esteem.
Meanwhile, on Wang Ba’s side, the anxious voice of the purple-robed youth reached his ears:
“Taoist Friend Taiyi, you have faced two Bodhisattvas back-to-back. If you are exhausted, please feel free to come back and recover.”
Wang Ba thought for a moment before inquiring:
“How many Cloud Beads did we gain from those two encounters?”
The purple-robed youth paused, surprised by the question. After a short delay, he quickly calculated the total:
“These two Bodhisattvas were high-ranking figures, so the Cloud Beads earned exceed the usual amount. It is roughly four billion three hundred million.”
“Four billion…”
Wang Ba’s pulse quickened. It seemed the eight billion debt could be settled rapidly, and he might even have a surplus to trade for other treasures.
He replied without hesitation:
“Let’s wait and see.”
If the next opponent was on the same level as the Fire Lotus Bodhisattva, there was nothing to fear. Only if a truly monstrous foe appeared would he consider tagging out; it wasn't worth throwing away his life just for Cloud Beads.
The purple-robed youth felt a wave of relief at his response.
Within the Cloud Sky Realm, the number of middle-stage Crossing Tribulation experts was not small, yet none possessed a Foundation as perfect as Wang Ba's.
In truth, Wang Ba was the most capable person in the Cloud Sky Realm to engage in this magical combat against the Supreme True Buddha’s forces.
If even Wang Ba retreated, the competition would essentially be over, leaving them with no choice but to wait for the Supreme True Buddha’s forces to tighten their siege.
As the messages were being exchanged, Wang Ba suddenly sensed a shift and glanced to the side.
The void itself was being ripped open. A massive, blood-red Buddhist manifestation began to emerge, stepping forth with heavy strides.
This Dharma Aspect was as gargantuan as half a Domain. It possessed crimson skin and hair, three heads, and six arms. It clutched various sacred artifacts, and its eyes were mostly white with tiny black pupils. Wearing a savage grin, it rode a black rhinoceros, appearing more like a monstrous beast than a holy Bodhisattva.
Wang Ba’s eyes narrowed as he focused on the newcomer.
The purple-robed youth’s voice returned to his ear, now heavy with warning:
“Taoist Friend Taiyi, you must be careful. This is ‘Wisdom Truth.’ He has mastered a unique Dharma Aspect of immense power and is known as the ‘Leader of the Ten Bodhisattvas.’ He is a master of both attack and defense, carrying six top-grade Dao Treasures. His mount is an Eighth Tier middle-grade divine beast. He is formidable at any range and once survived a direct strike from a late-stage Crossing Tribulation cultivator…”
The voice cut off abruptly.
The crimson colossus had already spurred the black rhinoceros forward, charging through the vacuum.
The void groaned and shook beneath its path!
Gripping six Dao Treasures, its three faces burned with divine fury.
Upon the black rhinoceros’s horn, a dense black light gathered, fueled by the laws of the world—a force that seemed capable of piercing through anything!
Even through the protection of the Realm Membrane, many cultivators within the Taoist Field felt as if they were the ones being targeted. Their hearts trembled with instinctive fear.
In the emptiness of the Outer Realm, Wang Ba remained still, his eyes turning into thin slits.
He stood there without a hint of a defensive stance, appearing as though he were paralyzed by the sight of the charging rhinoceros.
As the beast closed the distance at a terrifying speed, he remained motionless.
In that moment, everyone watching felt their hearts leap into their throats!
