Longevity, starting from being a chicken raising servant Chapter 2278: 160: Rescue
Previously on Longevity, starting from being a chicken raising servant...
Upon hearing these words, several cultivators who had arrived to offer their support nodded in quiet agreement.
Although they had come with the understanding that the fall of one power would inevitably endanger them all, they were reluctant to dedicate their strength to a faction that disregarded the lives of its allies.
Now, listening to the proclamation of Sect Leader Bai of the Cloud Sky Sect—a man whose prestige is surpassed only by True Man Gai—their concerns were naturally alleviated.
Indeed, a force of seventeen Tribulation-Transcending cultivators, including two at the middle-stage, was a power that simply could not be overlooked.
Sect Leader Bai wasted no time. His gaze shifted slightly as he singled out someone in the assembly, commanding sternly:
“Zhong Qi, since Bokai is away, take a team and move quickly to provide rescue. Any delay will invite disaster!”
“Yes!”
From the midst of the crowd, a middle-aged man with a refined, jade-like countenance, clad in a Water Blue Auspicious Cloud Robe, bowed and prepared to depart.
However, at that very moment, a cultivator let out a cry of pure alarm:
“This is bad! Something has already occurred!”
Startled by the shout, the gathered cultivators all fixed their eyes upon the water curtain.
Within the depths of the water curtain, two brilliant explosions erupted, momentarily casting light upon the flickering, interwoven black and white walls of rules!
At the sight of these walls of rules, many onlookers developed grave and fearful expressions.
As more than a dozen monk-like figures suddenly manifested from the void, a wave of alarmed whispers swept through the crowd:
“An ambush! So many were lying in wait!”
“Four Bodhisattvas and eleven Arhats… this looks grim!”
Sect Leader Bai’s expression darkened considerably as he barked a low command:
“Zhong Qi!”
“Master, do not fret. I am departing this instant!”
The man in the Water Blue Cloud Robe, Chen Zhongqi, wore a solemn look as he prepared to vanish.
Just as he was about to move, he suddenly heard a chorus of voices filled with undeniable confusion, shock, and sudden joy.
Hesitating slightly and feeling puzzled, Chen Zhongqi turned his head to look. His eyes narrowed instinctively as he witnessed a breathtaking scene unfolding on the water curtain.
A figure in a green robe, who had previously appeared unremarkable and average within the group, was now moving with the agility of a green dragon, darting between two points. With a casual wave of his hand, he suppressed ten Arhats. Then, crossing the void with a series of masterful techniques, he repelled three Bodhisattvas in an instant and successfully rescued all his fellow cultivators!
The display was as swift as a lightning strike, easily missed by the untrained eye. However, since every person present was a Tribulation-Transcending being watching with absolute focus, a deathly silence fell over the area before the water curtain. One could have heard a needle hit the ground!
Chen Zhongqi was visibly stunned:
“Is that… the secret techniques of the Canlong Realm?”
“Could this individual be a personal disciple from the Canlong Realm?”
The green-robed cultivator had exhibited a multitude of skills, but the most prominent were clearly derived from the Canlong Realm—capturing the rules inherent in the bloodlines of innate divine beasts and manifesting them through his own body with immense power and endless variety.
But hadn't the Canlong Realm already been destroyed…?
Thinking of this, he glanced instinctively at the Sect Leader. He found the Sect Leader’s face as stoic as ever, though a flicker of astonishment, suspicion, and brilliance danced in his eyes.
His mind racing, Chen Zhongqi did not dare linger. He quickly sent out spiritual messages to gather a group from the Cloud Sky Sect. Soon, seven or eight figures tore through the domain alongside him, racing toward the sea whirlpool region.
By now, the surrounding cultivators had finally recovered from their shock, and the air was filled with cheers!
“Magnificent!”
“What a formidable Taoist! Among the many middle-stage Tribulation-Transcending experts in these waters, this man surely stands at the pinnacle!”
“Who is this master? Why is his name unknown to me?”
“To slay Arhats and Bodhisattvas in a heartbeat, and to stand alone against ten Arhats and three Great Bodhisattvas… such a figure cannot be a nobody. Do any fellow Taoists recognize his identity?”
The cultivators looked at one another, yet everyone remained baffled and full of disbelief.
“Oh no! How did the followers of the Supreme True Buddha arrive so quickly!?”
Suddenly, a cultivator shouted out in panic.
Everyone looked closer and saw more than a dozen figures wreathed in thick Demonic Qi already closing in on the green-robed cultivator!
“It is the six Taoist Masters of the Reincarnation Six Paths!”
“And the Demon Slaves serving the Lord of Six Paths!”
“They were likely patrolling nearby and simply stumbled upon this,” someone conjectured.
The atmosphere became significantly more somber.
Most of those present, while in the Tribulation-Transcending realm, were only at the early-stage. They would feel immense pressure facing even a single powerful Arhat, let alone a Bodhisattva or Taoist Master. Seeing the green-robed Taoist surrounded, they imagined themselves in his position and felt as though they were facing certain death.
Sect Leader Bai’s face grew more serious. He watched Chen Zhongqi and the others as they departed the Cloud Sky Realm, his heart feeling somewhat heavy.

At the Realm Sea Whirlpool.
“Is the Western Great Bodhisattva preparing to send infiltrators into the Sea of Chaos Realm once more?”
Wang Ba’s heart gave a sudden thud.
A flurry of thoughts raced through his mind.
If what his Junior Brother said was true, and the Supreme True Buddha’s followers sent an Arhat into the Realm, they would immediately perceive the massive shifts occurring within the Sea of Chaos Realm. They would discover the potential threat posed by the local forces and, consequently, take notice of the Little Cang World.
The moment that Arhat returned to the Realm Sea and reported the state of the Sea of Chaos Realm to the Great Bodhisattva, the outcome would be painfully obvious.
“Why have they arrived so early this time? Wasn't it meant to happen every five thousand years?” Wang Ba couldn't help but ask.
Shen Fu, seemingly anticipating his confusion, sent a quick spiritual message:
“Senior Brother took those who were originally intended for replacement and cultivation, creating a void in their future staffing. Furthermore, there have been massive changes within the Sea of Chaos Realm, so the Great Bodhisattva decided to act now to secure a new batch of people…”
