Longevity, starting from being a chicken raising servant Chapter 2264: 156: Setting Out

Previously on Longevity, starting from being a chicken raising servant...
Wang Ba experiments with the fusion of the Four Spirits, successfully manifesting the legendary Eighth Tier divine beast, Candle Dragon. This breakthrough reveals the staggering potential of the unbridled beasts technique, though he notes the missing Blood Qilin prevents him from reaching the even higher state of Chaos. The discovery that only a dozen years have passed despite his perception of eight millennia leads Wang Ba to realize the Silkworm Dragon Staff manipulates time through the alteration of awareness. After refining the artifact and honoring the generosity of Master Chao, he prepares to regroup with his allies. However, a sudden inability to sense the mark on Divine Corpse Six Fingers hints at a new and unexpected complication.

A flash of cyan light tore through the Sea of Worlds before coming to an abrupt stop.

Wang Ba’s form materialized, his cyan sleeves swaying gently in the void. He looked down at the remains of the Devourer’s Nest, which now lay completely desolate. Not a single World Eater remained in the area. Seeing this, he knit his brows in frustration.

“It isn’t here either.”

“I still cannot pinpoint their exact coordinates...”

“Just where have Divine Corpse Six Fingers and Jiu Futu disappeared to?”

In terms of raw fighting power, Divine Corpse Six Fingers was roughly equivalent to the early-stage of Tribulation Transcendence.

Jiu Futu was likewise at the early stage. Furthermore, because he practiced the Corpse Immortal Technique, his physical body was so resilient that few could damage it, even among those at the middle-stage of Tribulation Transcendence.

Now, both had vanished without a trace, and Wang Ba couldn’t even detect the general path they had taken.

“Did Jiu Futu take them away, or was it the Northern Great Bodhisattva who found them first and moved them?”

A sense of gloom settled in Wang Ba’s heart.

“I won't be able to explain this to Yu Yu.”

Whether they were in the hands of Jiu Futu or the Northern Great Bodhisattva, the situation was grim. If it were the former, there might be a chance to recover them, but if it were the latter, the hope was practically non-existent.

“If I find nothing else, I’ll have to return to Zhang’s Ruins for another look.”

“If Jiu Futu really made off with them, there's a chance he went back to the Ten Thousand Demon Palace...”

He dismissed that thought quickly; it was unlikely. If Jiu Futu had been bold enough to kidnap them, he certainly wouldn't be foolish enough to wait at his own base for a pursuer to arrive. Furthermore, after the commotion Jiu Futu had caused at the Ten Thousand Demon Dojo alongside him, the local Cultivators probably wouldn't welcome him back.

The more he considered it, the more uncertain he became about where to begin his search.

“Besides... the current state of the Four Great Realms is still a mystery.”

Recalling Heavenly Monarch Chao, Wang Ba felt a moment of hesitation.

Since the connection was severed and Divine Corpse Six Fingers had vanished, locating him again would be a monumental task. From a practical standpoint, even if Divine Corpse Six Fingers reached full completion and became a Corpse-folding, such strength was no longer a deciding factor now that Wang Ba had reached the early-stage of Tribulation Transcendence.

“Never mind, reaching the Cloud Sky Realm first is the priority!”

After a brief moment of reflection, Wang Ba made his choice.

With a flicker of his will, he opened the map of the surrounding Sea of Worlds provided by the Yin Family.

He was currently positioned at the furthest edge of the map’s territory, where the borders of Zhang’s Ruins and the Cloud Sky Realm met to form a triangle. The trek to the Cloud Sky Realm was still quite formidable.

The physical distance wasn't his primary concern; rather, it was his lack of intelligence. He was isolated and had no way of knowing if the Supreme True Buddha and the Cloud Sky Realm had made any major moves over the last decade.

If he accidentally wandered into the heart of a battle between those two massive powers, even his early-stage Tribulation Transcendence Cultivation might not be enough to ensure a safe escape.

“I suppose I'll have to deal with things as they come.”

He pulled a high-grade Flying Dao Treasure from his sleeve.

Stepping inside, he called forth the Four Spirits, Fu Gui, and the Wu Monkey King.

Dividing his focus four ways, he steered the Dao Treasure toward the Cloud Sky Realm while simultaneously raising his Spirit Beasts, turning his eight millennia of Rule comprehension into tangible growth for his Dao Domain, and continuing the refinement of the Silkworm Dragon Staff.

Only because of his immense Primordial Spirit foundation could he sustain such a taxing multi-pronged effort—a feat most others would find impossible to maintain.

As the Flying Dao Treasure cut through the Realm Sea, his other three objectives moved forward with steady precision.

Perhaps it was due to the superior quality of the materials Master Chao had provided, or perhaps it was Wang Ba’s specific methods, or perhaps these divine beasts were simply on the cusp of an evolution after years of training.

In a very short window, the Four Spirits began to undergo minor metamorphoses.

The White Tiger led the way, successfully breaking through to the late-stage of the Seventh Tier.

Fu Gui and Erya followed shortly after.

Only Ding Twenty-two, who had inherited the late-stage Seventh Tier foundation of Xuan Yuanzi, possessed a base so deep that it didn't see a massive jump in rank. Instead, it remained at the late-stage of the Seventh Tier, though its state became more refined as it neared the threshold of the Eighth Tier.

Even so, seeing such clear transformations in so little time brought a smile to Wang Ba’s face.

The consecutive breakthroughs of his Spirit Beasts didn't just please him; they eased some of the mental pressure he was feeling. This allowed the progress of his Dao Domain to speed up as well.

Although he had only recently stepped into the early-stage of Tribulation Transcendence, his rapid mastery of the Rules allowed his Dao Domain to develop at a pace comparable to veteran Tribulation Transcendence experts. It was becoming more complete and balanced. Once his Dao Domain fully aligned with his Rule progression, he would be ready to ascend to the middle-stage of Tribulation Transcendence.

However, refining the Silkworm Dragon Staff was proving to be much more tedious than his other tasks.

By the time he was halfway through the journey, he had managed to refine only seven of the Innate Cloud Bans. The process felt even more grueling than when he had worked on the Treasure Basin of Immortal Essence.

“The Silkworm Dragon Staff is surely one of the most exceptional pieces within the Six Candle Stick of Tongyou. I wonder what powers it will reveal once it is fully refined.”

Wang Ba mused, a spark of curiosity lighting up his eyes.

After several years of uninterrupted flight, the Flying Dao Treasure finally came to a halt before a world shrouded in a misty purple glow.

“The Zi Ying Realm...”

Leaving the Dao Treasure, Wang Ba stood suspended in the void. He stared at the realm enveloped in Chaos Origin Substance, mentally reviewing everything the Yin Family’s records had mentioned about this place.
