Living In Another World With A Farm Chapter 8738: Fog-breaking (1)
Previously on Living In Another World With A Farm...
Zhao Hai, a being of pure blood crystal, finally opened his eyes. His gaze was a deep, blood-red, devoid of light initially, but then a spark of anger flashed, quickly followed by a hint of life, even as a calm exterior remained. All eyes were fixed on him, anticipating his next move.
Upon opening his eyes and surveying his surroundings, a smile graced Zhao Hai's face. He raised a hand, his movements astonishingly swift, defying the apparent bulk of his form.
In a blur, he formed a hand seal and declared, "Okay." As the word left his lips, a crimson aura enveloped him. Releasing his hands, he gestured, and the massive blood-red saber strapped to his back materialized in his grip. With a powerful forward swing, he bellowed, "Eight Bloody Combat Moves - River of Blood!" The cry echoed like thunder, yet his hands remained steady as he slashed his blade into the encroaching gray fog.
As the saber cut through the air, an immense river of blood erupted before him. This spectral river, a staggering ten thousand meters wide and over five thousand meters deep, swallowed Zhao Hai entirely. His figure vanished within its depths, and as the river surged forward, he moved with it.
The Blood River plunged into the gray fog, which offered no resistance. A colossal rupture tore through the misty expanse. The onslaught continued relentlessly, the Blood River relentlessly washing away the fog, carving a vast chasm in its center. In moments, the fog surrounding the opening disintegrated completely.
From within the Blood River, Zhao Hai's voice resonated, "Blood River and Corpse Mountain!" A deafening boom followed, and a colossal mountain, seemingly constructed from countless corpses, plummeted into the gray fog. Beneath this horrifying peak lay a true sea of blood, its currents flowing ceaselessly, littered with innumerable, gargantuan corpses that appeared terrifyingly lifelike, chilling the enemy observers to the bone.
Yet, the spectacle intensified. Zhao Hai's voice rang out again: "Monstrous Blood Waves!" From the previously placid blood sea, torrential waves of crimson liquid surged outwards in all directions. Where these waves struck, the gray fog evaporated. The disciples of the Bloody Massacre Sect witnessed countless Shadow Realm combatants reduced to mere ashes.
"Blood Kingdom, Three Thousand!" Zhao Hai's voice boomed once more. The Blood River transformed instantaneously into a city of crimson. From this spectral metropolis, squadrons of blood-red cavalry charged forth, piercing the surrounding gray fog. Everywhere these spectral riders passed, the fog dissipated.
"Bloody Rain and Foul Wind!" Zhao Hai's command echoed again. The mountain of corpses and the sea of blood at the heart of the fog detonated with a tremendous roar. The crimson cities also imploded, their ichor transforming into a sky-spanning rain of blood. This scarlet deluge, covering a vast area that encompassed nearly the entire Shadow Realm's fog, struck with devastating effect. Upon contact with the gray mist, it instantly vaporized into wisps of smoke.
The blood rain intensified, escalating into a torrential downpour. Slowly, the gray fog receded under this crimson deluge, revealing the stunned soldiers of the Shadow Realm. Not only the common soldiers but even figures like the King of Northern Wei and the King of Southern Wei stood bewildered, unsure how to react to the unfolding catastrophe.
Zhao Hai's assault had been overwhelmingly swift and devastating. Before the enemy could fully mobilize the gray fog to counter him, his subsequent attacks had already struck. The gray fog was utterly annihilated, a turn of events utterly unforeseen by anyone, including the Wei sovereigns.
"A pestle of blood." Zhao Hai's voice echoed once more. The crimson rain that had saturated the sky vanished, and the Blood River reappeared, surging with renewed force towards the palace of the Lord of Beiwei. Witnessing this, the Lord of Beiwei's demeanor shifted. He let out a sharp cry and uplifted the Jade plate he held. The Lord of Nanwei was equally swift, also raising his Jade plate. The two divine beasts depicted on their respective Jade plates stirred to life, detaching themselves and soaring into the sky. After a brief aerial circuit, their forms expanded exponentially. These colossal divine beasts then plummeted directly towards the sea of blood. It was evident that this was the final gambit of the Lords of Northern and Southern Wei, a combined assault.
With a deafening crash, the two divine beasts plunged into the Blood River. The leading edge of the Blood River disintegrated instantaneously. Subsequently, an enormous, round log materialized from within the river, striking the two divine beasts head-on. The colossal log repelled them forcefully.
Yet, this was not the conclusion. An uncountable array of similar cylindrical logs seemed to be contained within the Blood River, relentlessly smashing into the two divine beasts. As one vanished, another immediately took its place, continuing the assault. With every impact of these immense logs against the divine beasts, the bodies of the Lords of Northern Wei and Southern Wei involuntarily shuddered, their expressions contorting with growing dismay.
After enduring countless blows, the two divine beasts finally emitted a mournful cry. Their forms then contracted, retreating back into the Jade plates held by the Lords of Beiwei and Nanwei. Concurrently, both lords let out groans, a trickle of blood escaping the corners of their mouths, their faces etched with extreme displeasure.
Nevertheless, the Blood River's momentum remained unbroken, directly impacting the main hall of Lord Beiwei. The grand hall flared with a white luminescence, an attempt to withstand the river's onslaught. However, it proved futile, offering no resistance whatsoever. With a resounding boom, the main hall was utterly annihilated. Coincidentally, as the hall was obliterated, the figures of Lord Beiwei and Lord Nanwei moved with incredible speed, vacating the structure just in time. The eight colossal flood dragons swiftly formed a protective circle around them, shielding them within. Thus, the two lords emerged unscathed.
At this juncture, the Shadow Realm's Army began to mobilize. The shadow generals, disregarding their own safety, charged headlong into the Blood River. It was apparent that they were acting under the command of Zhun Xuan, in defense of the Princes of Northern Wei and Southern Wei. Consequently, even with the full knowledge that they were no match for Zhao Hai, they pressed forward.
"Badly mangled." Uttering this phrase, the Blood River suddenly wavered, its form becoming semi-illusory. A significant portion of the shadow generals' attacks went astray. While the damage inflicted upon the Blood River was minimal, their assault continued. Perhaps they, too, recognized the dire peril facing the Lords of Northern Wei and Southern Wei if they ceased their offensive.
At this precise moment, Zhao Hai's voice cut through the air. "Shen Ji, Ruo Shui 3000." As his words resonated, the Blood River inexplicably stilled. The wavering, blurry quality vanished instantly, and the water appeared as motionless as stagnant water.
Just as the shadow generals of the Shadow Realm began to feel perplexed, they observed the stagnant water spreading outwards in all directions. Though its pace was not rapid, it soon enveloped them. The instant they were submerged, the shadow generals felt as if they had entered a tangible liquid. Simultaneously, they sensed the water relentlessly siphoning their Dharma power, vitality, and essence.
What instilled even greater dread was the presence of an immensely potent energy within the water. This power exerted constant, crushing pressure upon them, rendering movement exceedingly difficult. It was akin to being flung into water, only to find a heavy force pinning one down, making escape near impossible.
However, the shadow generals were not to be underestimated. They exerted their utmost strength to break free. Suddenly, a tremendous explosion deafened them. In the very next instant, the water coalesced, reforming into a colossal Blood Crystal Zhao Hai. Now, the Blood Crystal Zhao Hai, brandishing the Blood Slaughter Saber, fixed his cold gaze upon the Shadow Realm's Army and bellowed, "Attack!" Echoing his command, the disciples of the Blood Slaughter Sect, who had just recovered from their astonishment, roared in unison. Then, under the command of Xue Zi, they charged furiously towards the assembled forces of the Shadow Realm.
It finally dawned on the Shadow Realm's Army that Zhao Hai was not fighting solo. Instead, a complete blood sea realm stood behind him. Earlier, Zhao Hai had single-handedly eradicated their entire gray fog, stripping them of crucial protection. Now, with the blood sea realm's forces assaulting them, genuine peril loomed.
Lord Beiwei's countenance shifted dramatically. He glanced towards the blood sea realm Army, then back at the blood crystal Zhao Hai, whose form was gradually dissolving. The blood crystal Zhao Hai no longer focused on him, his gaze filled with utter contempt. This infuriated Lord Beiwei, causing his expression to contort. Gritting his teeth, he let out a cold snort. With a swift motion, he flung the Jade plate he held aloft, bellowing, "Explode!" In response to his command, the Jade plate detonated with a resounding boom, succeeded by a ferocious beast's roar. This deafening cry instantly enveloped the Shadow Realm's Army within a dense shroud of gray fog.
Nevertheless, Lord Beiwei's face drained of color, and he coughed up a mouthful of blood. He then urgently addressed King Nanwei, exclaiming, "Old Nantou, hasten your retreat!" Having spoken, his body faltered, and he collapsed directly onto the ground. King Nanwei caught him, but immediately shouted, "Retreat! Quickly, retreat!"
