The six major sects attacked the blood slaughter sect, but suffered a crushing defeat. In response, the disillusioned mid-tier sects, feeling abandoned and betrayed, turned against their former protectors. They broke away from the six major sects, forming their own alliance or joining the blood slaughter sect and the giant demon sect.

The Blood Sea Alliance's central base now occupied the former lands of the Green Wind Sect. This Green Wind Sect had once been a formidable mid-tier power, boasting over 3000 islands and a substantial following of about 5000 Island Masters. While not quite on par with the top ten sects, they stood unmatched amongst the mid-tier forces.

It was the Green Wind Sect who initially proposed the formation of the Blood Sea Alliance. They were also the first to confront a mid-tier sect belonging to the six major alliances, and the first mid-tier sect to formally break away from these six. Given their might, joining the six major sects initially wasn't a necessity. However, due to a longstanding cordial relationship with the Sick Man Sect, they had transferred all their disciples to them back then. The very first Sect Master of the Green Wind Sect was, in fact, a disciple of the Sick Man Sect himself, though he had been independent for many years. Over time, the Green Wind Sect had flourished considerably. Consequently, despite maintaining a nominal connection to the Sick Man Sect, their obedience was far from absolute.

When the Shadow Realm launched its assault, the Sick Man Sect dispatched a letter to the Green Wind Sect, requesting the relocation of all their disciples to the Sick Man Sect's stronghold to aid in repelling the Shadow Realm's forces. The Green Wind Sect, trusting their allies, complied and moved all their disciples. Subsequently, when the six major sects initiated their first offensive against the Shadow Realm, the Green Wind Sect contributed a significant contingent of disciples and experts, who unfortunately suffered considerable casualties.

This time, however, when the six major sects decided to attack the Bloody Massacre Sect, the Green Wind Sect's representatives were the most vocal in their opposition. Their focus was on combating the Shadow Realm; they held no particular animosity towards the Bloody Massacre Sect. Even if minor past grievances existed, they were insignificant. The Sect Leader of the Green Wind Sect possessed a clear sense of justice. In his view, the Shadow Realm's forces constituted a common adversary for all sects within the Blood Sea realm. Regardless of any internal conflicts between the various sects, the paramount objective should be to unite against the overwhelming threat of the Shadow Realm. This, he believed, was the only righteous course of action.

The members of the Green Wind Sect held a favorable opinion of the current Bloody Massacre Sect. When the Shadow Realm's forces emerged, it was Zhao Hai and his sect who first advocated for setting aside animosities to face the common enemy together. Although the Bloody Massacre Sect, in alliance with the Giant Demon Sect, proposed a strategy to divide forces against the Shadow Realm, it was evident to observers that their true intention was to avoid direct confrontation with the Corpse Demon Sect. Yet, for the Green Wind Sect, this was entirely understandable. The animosity between the Bloody Massacre Sect and the Corpse Demon Sect was profoundly deep. It was common knowledge throughout the Blood Sea realm that the Bloody Massacre Sect had demonstrated immense restraint by not attacking the Corpse Demon Sect at this critical juncture. Therefore, the Green Wind Sect's members regarded the Bloody Massacre Sect with considerable respect.

Nevertheless, the prior failure of the six major sects in their engagement with the Shadow Realm had already sown deep dissatisfaction within the Green Wind Sect. They attributed the defeat to flawed command and negligence, which allowed the Shadow Realm's forces to exploit their weaknesses. Consequently, the six major sects bore significant responsibility for this setback. Despite their disappointment, the Green Wind Sect refrained from public criticism, opting instead to observe the six major sects' subsequent actions against the Shadow Realm. They were prepared to overlook the initial failure if a more competent strategy was presented.

However, they never anticipated that the leaders of the six major sects would abandon their efforts against the Shadow Realm, instead secretly mobilizing troops to attack the Bloody Massacre Sect. It must be understood that the Bloody Massacre Sect was actively engaged in a standoff with the Shadow Realm's army at that very moment. Any internal turmoil within the Bloody Massacre Sect would inevitably lead to chaos on the front lines, resulting in a catastrophic defeat. This action would serve no benefit to the cultivators of the Blood Sea realm; on the contrary, it would only embolden the Shadow Realm's forces. Yet, this is precisely what the six major sects had chosen to do.

Initially, the Green Wind Sect remained unaware of the unfolding events, their attention solely fixed upon the Shadow Realm Army. They did not anticipate the Shadow Realm Army's counteroffensive against the Bloody Massacre Sect's forces. Neither did they foresee the involvement of the six major sects in confronting the Bloody Massacre Sect, mistaking it for a mere reprisal by the Shadow Realm Army.

However, upon receiving confirmation that the six major sects had indeed attacked the Bloody Massacre Sect, the truth became undeniable. The Green Wind Sect erupted in shock and understanding. They finally grasped the Shadow Realm Army's true motive: not a counterattack, but a calculated move to annihilate the Bloody Massacre Sect by striking when they were vulnerable, weakened by the assault from the six major sects.

This revelation struck a severe blow to the Green Wind Sect. They had always believed the six major sects, as the preeminent powers of the Blood Sea Realm, held a responsibility to protect it. Their actions, however, were seen as a betrayal, aligning with enemies against their own kin—an utterly unacceptable offense to the Green Wind Sect. Consequently, they dispatched a delegate to confront the Sick Man Sect, delivering their grievances with potent intensity.

The Sick Man Sect, in turn, reacted with fury, swiftly ordering the execution of the Green Wind Sect's envoy. This act of aggression completely ignited the Green Wind Sect's rage. They immediately rallied several mid-tier sects, launching a joint assault on the Sick Man Sect, deeming such an alliance unworthy of loyalty.

As the Green Wind Sect and their allies emerged, they discovered a multitude of other sects had also joined the fray. United, their collective strength rivaled, and perhaps even surpassed, that of the major sects like the Corpse Demon Sect or the Bloody Massacre Sect. This realization spurred them to formalize their alliance under the Green Wind Sect's initiative, giving birth to the Blood Sea Alliance.

The Sect Master of the Green Wind Sect, Situ Jingyu, appeared to be in his forties, reedy and with a sallow complexion, reminiscent of illness. This was a residual effect of the cultivation technique their sect practiced, originally inherited from the Sick Man Sect but later refined. Despite sharing the same foundational technique, the outcome differed vastly; Situ Jingyu, at the Dharma-Opening Realm and on the cusp of the Dharma Plane, bore only a semblance of sickness, unlike the overtly frail members of the Sick Man Sect.

Situ Jingyu was adorned in a navy blue scholar's robe, cinched with a belt fashioned from what seemed to be green jade. Intricate patterns of divine beasts adorned it, presenting a visually striking appearance. Yet, to mistake this ornate accessory for a mere belt would be a fatal error, for it was, in fact, a formidable weapon.

The Green Wind Sect derived its name from their distinctive weapon: the Green Wind Whip. Crafted from Green Wind Jade, this magical artifact possessed remarkable versatility, capable of shifting between the form of a pliant whip and a rigid spear, unleashing formidable power.

Within the main hall of the Green Wind Sect, Situ Jingyu presided over a gathering of over a dozen Sect Masters. These leaders, whose sects now resided within the Green Wind Sect's territory, had forged the Blood Sea Alliance. They named it so, believing themselves to be the sole force capable of salvaging the Blood Sea Realm, left to their own devices.

Situ Jingyu's gaze was fixed upon a nervous disciple standing before him in the center of the hall. "You claim someone from the Bloody Massacre Sect wishes an audience? And he is a disciple of Zhao Hai, the leader of the Bloody Massacre Sect?"

"Yes, Sect Master," the disciple responded in a low tone. "He identified himself as Cheng Wanchun, a disciple under the Bloody Massacre Sect Leader, Zhao Hai. Though he appears to be in his forties with a weathered face, resembling a wandering cultivator, he is accompanied by two formidable metal puppets."

Situ Jingyu was momentarily stunned before he spoke, " He's alone with two metal puppets? We experimented with puppets a few years back, but they were rather ineffective. However, this item originates from the Bloody Massacre Sect. Could it be that the people from the Bloody Massacre Sect are still utilizing them?"

A disciple quickly responded, " Sect Master, the puppets they brought are entirely distinct from any we've previously encountered. These puppets stand approximately three meters tall, clad in iron armor, with a cape billowing behind them and a mask obscuring their faces. They possess seemingly extraordinary combat prowess."

Situ Jingyu knitted his brows. He turned to the others present and inquired, " What are your thoughts? Our Blood Sea Alliance has only just been formed, and the Bloody Massacre Sect is already making their presence known. What do you suppose their intentions are?" Situ Jingyu had never had any dealings with individuals from the Bloody Slaughter Sect, leaving him with limited knowledge of them. Nevertheless, in his estimation, all the sects among the top ten operated similarly—each imbued with an overwhelming arrogance, much like preening peacocks. He harbored a distinct dislike for the disciples of these prominent sects.

" The Bloody Massacre Sect?" another sect leader murmured. " The people from the Bloody Massacre Sect are not to be underestimated. I've encountered some of them. Within the entire Blood Sea Realm, perhaps only we and the Bloody Massacre Sect truly engage in earnest dealings with those from the Shadow Realm. They are formidable, yet I've never heard of them taking action against *that* sect. Furthermore, considering our recent establishment, it would be unwise to provoke them. I propose we meet with them and ascertain their purpose."

The others all concurred. Despite their alliance, they harbored considerable apprehension towards powerful entities like the ten great sects. Having already incurred the displeasure of six major sects, they were disinclined to further antagonize the Bloody Massacre Sect, particularly given their nascent status. Offending everyone would undoubtedly prove detrimental.

Situ Jingyu nodded in agreement. " Very well, we shall meet them. To be candid, I hold the Bloody Slaughter Sect in high regard. Their ability to rise anew when their sect teetered on the brink of destruction is already a remarkable feat. This time, let us discover the reason for their visit. Go, extend our invitation to them." The disciple acknowledged the order and departed.
