Yu Qing meets with the mysterious and professional Ghost Shadow group to negotiate the eradication of his sworn enemies, the Tang family from the Yin Yang sect. Although no face-to-face contact is made, Yu Qing proves his desperation by offering his complete loyalty and service in exchange for their lethal intervention. After verifying his identity as a dark ghost sect elder, the group accepts the mission, tasking Yu Qing with a cryptic secret password to confirm future contact while warning him against potential betrayal.

Yu Qing realized he had overestimated his own significance. Even though he hailed from the Yu family, that clan had long since crumbled, and his name carried no weight anymore. The Dark Ghost Sect would hardly start a conflict with the Yin Yang Sect for his sake, and the Tang family certainly wouldn't lose sleep over a lone survivor like him.

Stepping out of his chambers, he found an individual waiting. Receiving a faint smile, Yu Qing was guided downstairs. They exchanged few words before Yu Qing slipped away, changed into his Dark Ghost Sect attire, and headed toward his uncle Yi’s modest shop.

Yi Shu’s storefront was a standard establishment catering to the common needs of individual cultivators. While it dealt in affordable goods and wasn't a gold mine, the constant flow of customers ensured the business remained quite stable.

Retreating into the backroom, Yu Qing motioned for his uncle to sit. "Uncle, the plan shows promise, but there will be obstacles. Ignore that individual for now and just focus on keeping things running here while I return to my post."

Uncle Yi looked at him with skepticism. "Young Master, are you certain they agreed to the task?" The elderly man struggled to believe it. The Tang family stood tall with dozens of Island Master-level experts; the cost of destroying them was unfathomable. He had only urged Yu Qing to make contact so he might finally confront his inner demons and find some peace in his Cultivation.

Yi Shu, being a cultivator himself, had long sensed the instability in Yu Qing’s heart. Unable to heal those spiritual scars directly, he had pinned his hopes on this risky arrangement. Yet, watching Yu Qing brush off the concern with a thin smile as he prepared to depart, the old man could only sigh.

After guiding Yu Qing to the teleportation array, Yi Shu remained anxious. He vowed to keep a close watch; if the youth attempted anything reckless, he would intervene, for Yu Qing was the final hope of the Yu family.

Back on Ghost Bone Island, Yu Qing paced his courtyard, restlessness burning in his chest. He was dying to know how his new associates would communicate. The island was notoriously restricted, making their potential mode of contact a real mystery.

The day dragged on in silence. Come the following morning, following his usual meditation, a sudden knock pulled him from his trance. Suspicious, he scanned the area with his mind power to find a local island disciple at his door. The youth looked up and asked, "Is this the residence of Senior Brother Yu Qing? I have been asked to deliver some candy to you from your family!"

Yu Qing felt a jolt of shock. The disciple was a familiar face on the island, someone he had seen for over a decade. How could such a person be linked to the Ghost Shadow Group?

Despite his internal turmoil, he remembered the signal. "No!" he replied, maintaining the pre-arranged code. The youth simply looked puzzled for a heartbeat before turning and walking away.

Yu Qing inhaled slowly, his heart finally settling, though he knew he had to monitor this disciple later. He dared not act impulsively; the Ghost Shadow Group clearly possessed depths of surveillance he couldn't fathom, and any rash movement could lead to his immediate demise. His current strength was inadequate against such calculated power.

He realized his only path was patience. If they truly possessed the capability to wipe out the Tang family, he would gladly serve them with his life.

Meanwhile, Zhao Hai had retreated to his sanctuary within the space. He had decided to handle this personally to ensure everything regarding Yu Qing was airtight. Once the Tang family was dealt with, securing Yu Qing’s total obedience would follow.

In his study, Zhao Hai convened with Zhu Yong and Chang Jun. "I have confirmed the identity of our target within the Dark Ghost Sect. Zhu Yong, prioritize gathering details on the Tang family. Chang Jun, assemble the team; as soon as we verify the intel, we move to eradicate them."

Chang Jun hesitated. "Sect leader, isn't this excessive for an elder in the Dharma Refinement Realm? The Tang family has over thirty Island Masters. Won't this draw unnecessary heat?"

"I have my reasons," Zhao Hai replied, his voice calm. "First, this is our chance to announce our presence. We need the world to know who wields this blade. Second, there is the matter of Yu Qing. He is talented, but his progress is choked by his inner demons. Once the Tang family falls, those demons will vanish, and he will naturally reach the Island Lord level. Having such a spy planted in the Dark Ghost Sect is a reward worth every risk."

The group nodded, clearly impressed by the long-term vision. Chang Jun bowed deeply, "Your planning is peerless, Sect Master. We shall ensure the Tang family is completely dismantled."

After dismissing them, Laura approached with a smile. "Big brother Hai, the Ghost Shadow Group will soon be legendary. How do you intend to proceed?" She knew his goal was to incite chaos across the Blood Sea Realm, and with the Battle of the Millennium approaching, his plans were falling into place perfectly.

Zhao Hai chuckled. "We don't need to cultivate more influence; we just need to keep hunting. Let the Blood Sea Realm descend into unrest—it only aids our goals. I can't wait to see if the major powers are truly prepared for what is coming."

Laura shifted the topic. "Are you still considering reaching out to Zhao Wuji? I’ve tracked his recent movements; he is in a dire situation after the Giants Demon Sect punished him for standing up for your former sect."

Zhao Hai paused, a flicker of warmth in his eyes. "I must go see him. It is time to see if he is truly the friend I believe him to be."
