Living In Another World With A Farm Chapter 8337: Back to the island (1)

Tasked with restoring the protective barrier of the merged Blood Bone Island, Zhao Hai coordinates with Island Lord Guna and a group of skeptical elders to begin the reconstruction. After meticulously surveying the terrain and designing a specialized Six Harmonies formation, Zhao Hai spends days mapping out the placement of talismans and magical artifacts. Once the complex array is successfully synchronized and buried, he presents the control flag and instructions to a stunned Guna. The new formation proves to be far more powerful and easier to manage than the island's original defenses, solidifying Zhao Hai's reputation as a formation master.

The banner vibrated softly as a dark radiance began to manifest around Blood Bone Island. This obsidian light was peculiar, shimmering like the reflection on water—translucent yet profoundly eerie. Suddenly, malevolent wraiths materialized within the dark glow, drifting aimlessly through the light. A single glance was enough to realize these spirits were dangerous; even a common cultivator could perceive that these ghosts possessed significant strength.

Slowly, the malicious spirits began to merge, coalescing into larger, more formidable entities until they took the form of twelve distinct animals. These massive creatures circled Blood Bone Island with a majestic and imposing air. Crucially, the twelve beasts radiated a heavy pressure that left the ordinary disciples on the island gasping for breath.

Guna monitored the transformation before turning his gaze toward Zhao Hai. "Excellent. The control is very smooth. I truly did not anticipate your formation techniques would be this potent. Here is the plan: I will reach out to others so you can assist in restoring their island defense formations as quickly as possible. The West has been restless lately, and we cannot predict when conflict might erupt. The faster we reinforce our protections, the more prepared we will be."

Zhao Hai was momentarily taken aback by Guna’s words. While he had heard rumors of instability and potential clashes in the West, he hadn't given them much weight. Given the sheer power of the Blood Slaughter Sect, he assumed few would be bold enough to challenge them. Furthermore, since those reports came from low-level disciples, he had largely ignored them.

However, hearing it from Guna confirmed that the rumors were grounded in reality. If war was truly on the horizon, the situation was grave. With a solemn expression, Zhao Hai cupped his hands toward Guna. "Understood, Uncle Master. Please make the arrangements; I will move as swiftly as I can."

"Go and rest for now," Guna replied with a nod and a serious tone. "Or perhaps head back to your Blood Gale Island. You haven't established your setup there yet, have you? I’ll contact the others now and have them begin the preliminary preparations so everything is ready for your arrival. Does that work for you?"

"That is perfectly fine, Uncle Master," Zhao Hai answered. "I shall take my leave now." Guna nodded in dismissal. Zhao Hai offered a final salute to him and Yan Bei before flying toward the teleportation array. With a flash of white light, he was gone.

Yan Bei turned to Guna with a look of concern. "Master, is a war truly inevitable?" Having only just learned of this, he was naturally curious. Guna hadn't mentioned it previously. If a conflict broke out, Zhao Hai would be in a precarious position, considering he was the sole inhabitant and Lord of his island.

Guna lowered his voice. "The Sect has received intelligence that the Thirteen Houses are showing signs of instability, but details are scarce. We don't know the full extent yet, but we must be ready. The Thirteen Houses are far too close to our borders; any movement from them will directly impact us."

The "Thirteen Houses" Guna referred to was a unique organization—not a traditional Sect, but a powerful Alliance. Their collective strength surpassed that of average mid-tier Sects, and while they didn't quite match the Ten Great Sects, they were not far behind.

The Alliance was unique because it was composed of various clans. Originally formed by thirteen founding families, it retained the name "Thirteen Houses" even after expanding to include many other families over time.

Located to the northwest of the Blood Slaughter Sect, the Thirteen Houses were their closest neighbors. During the Blood Slaughter Sect's peak, the Alliance remained cautious, though they were formidable enough not to fear the Sect. Small skirmishes had occurred between the two in the past, but full-scale war had always been avoided.

However, following the recent internal turmoil within the Blood Slaughter Sect, the Thirteen Houses might see an opportunity to strike. Consequently, any unusual activity from the Alliance forced the Sect onto high alert. This was an exceptionally vulnerable time; the Sect was still recovering from internal strife, and their influence in the Western and Northwestern sea regions was at an all-time low. If the Thirteen Houses acted now, the danger would be extreme.

As the current commander of the defense line, Guna shared the concerns of the Great Elder and the leadership. His position granted him access to classified intel, which prompted his warning to Zhao Hai. Taking the threat seriously, Zhao Hai immediately returned to Blood Gale Island to begin his preparations.

Upon his arrival at Blood Gale Island, Zhao Hai found the landscape cleared of buildings, save for a towering bronze figure. Seeing Zhao Hai, the bronze man hurried over and bowed deeply. Zhao Hai acknowledged the construct before stowing it within his Telepathic Eye Space. He instructed Laura and the others to upgrade it with premium materials, while he refined its Yin Soul energy. He aimed to transform the statue into a massive, versatile spiritual artifact capable of shapeshifting and high-level combat.

Despite possessing the Blood Lotus, Zhao Hai chose not to rely on it openly to keep its nature as a part of his body a secret. The bronze statue would serve as his primary public weapon instead.

After consulting with Laura and her team, Zhao Hai began the overhaul of Blood Gale Island. His first task was installing a complex network of Dharma arrays. He intended to turn the island into a fortress comparable to the Spirit Array Sect’s headquarters, potentially even creating an "Array Elder"—a feat well within his capabilities.

Unlike his work on other islands where he held back his true skill, he showed no restraint here. He summoned the Undead Race to install various array components. He had a clear vision for the island's transformation and proceeded without hesitation.

Once the base formations were laid, Zhao Hai established energy conduits and began refining the core suppression artifacts. Instead of the Yin-Yang Mirror, he utilized the Cyan Jade Compass, though he modified it to incorporate the mirror's specialized abilities.

Zhao Hai positioned the Cyan Jade Compass at the primary formation eye and placed Yin-Yang Mirrors at the auxiliary nodes. He then anchored a Yin Soul at the central eye, empowering it to manage every formation on the island autonomously.

Testing the system, Zhao Hai confirmed the island now functioned like an independent Array Elder. He then moved to the second phase: installing a Yin-Yang Lightning Pool as the primary power source, supplemented by a Natural Energy Formation. With these dual power sources, Zhao Hai felt confident that even if Great Elder Du Wansha attacked with the God Slaying Saber, the island’s defenses would hold. Breaking through would be nearly impossible.

After finalizing the arrays, Zhao Hai began the environmental transformation by planting various flora. Thanks to the Natural Energy Formations, the vegetation flourished instantly.

He introduced numerous species, most notably the Sky-reaching Vines. He modified these vines to serve a dual purpose: one half extended over a thousand meters underground, far beneath the living quarters of his followers.

Furthermore, some vines reached out into the Blood Sea itself, siphoning energy from the crimson waters to fuel the Yin-Yang Lightning Pool and the Natural Energy Formation.

The Lightning Pool could process any energy type, but the Natural Energy Formation was typically sensitive to the murderous intent inherent in the Blood Sea. However, Zhao Hai knew the Blood Sea also supported life, such as the Blood Cloud Beasts, meaning it contained life energy compatible with nature.

Reflecting on his experiences at the Spirit Array Sect, he understood that life energy could bring destruction, just as death energy could foster change. This duality—life within death and death within life—was the essence of the Dao of Natural Energy. This realization allowed his formations to successfully convert the Blood Sea’s energy.

He also planted Sky-reaching Trees, which served as living quarters while purifying and intensifying the island’s Qi. These were accompanied by a variety of grasses and flowers that appeared mundane but would transform into lethal spirit plants the moment the island's restrictions were triggered. They acted as both combatants and energy converters.

Finally, Zhao Hai entered the Space. The Sky-reaching Vines had extended their roots here as well. He gathered the Space's managers, instructing them to leave the vines intact but permitting them to harvest the leaves, which would boost their spiritual Qi. The managers obeyed without question. His preparations complete, Zhao Hai exited the Space and returned to the island, ready for the next phase of his plan.
