Gu Shen wakes up in a hospital bed after his second reboot, experiencing the pain of a Source Material Storm that destroyed Gu Castle. He discovers his ability, Chi Huo, has awakened early, breaking the rules of the reboot world. He then meets with his teacher and senior siblings, confirming his suspicion that the Origin Will cannot prevent Chi Huo's revival. Gu Shen and Mr. Rust Bone devise a plan to escape the Gu Castle Fortress by leaving from the Dragon Bone Fortress, successfully passing through its giant wall without encountering a Source Material Storm and entering the Old World.

"Whew... it seems quite smooth, doesn’t it?"

Zhong Wei nervously stood at the porthole, having prepared himself to face death.

But after leaving the Dragon Bone Fortress.

The airship’s journey fell into a steady pace; there were no "natural disasters" or "catastrophes" encountered along the way.

The Destruction Origin unfolded, forming a shield that enveloped the group.

The tense atmosphere within the airship eased considerably.

But Gu Shen knew, this was just an illusion.

After entering the Old World, many dangers were inevitable, and the current appearance of peace was due only to the fact that the current route...was on a world trajectory where no disasters had occurred.

Now it could be confirmed.

The Origin Will of this world would summon all forces to prevent outsiders from exploring its origin, but it couldn’t "create something out of nothing."

Zhou Jiren’s expression was not relaxed.

He sat down beside Gu Shen and asked, "Next, we’ll use ’restart’ to continuously advance deeper into the [Old World]?"

"...Yes."

Gu Shen unfolded the mental map, staring at the meandering and winding route.

To reach the "endpoint," they were bound to encounter the obstruction of the world’s Origin Will.

But as outsiders, their only advantage was the ability to restart endlessly, falling and rising again at the same place.

This team was akin to an Investigation Corps squad with infinite revival capabilities.

Gu Shen slowly pointed at a few spots: "After leaving the Dragon Bone Fortress’s giant wall, we need to first head west and circle to the northern frontier, but due to the previous ’Source Material Storm’ here, we need to change our route in advance..."

There were two critical points in the first half of the journey.

One was a "maze" where Gu Shen first executed a mission beyond the wall.

The other was the Dark Land where the Black Snow Mountain Giant resided.

Since this was a world of restarts, on the first successful venture beyond the wall, the airship sailed very slowly, landing after two days and one night; Rustbone unfolded the Destruction Origin Shield, enveloping the group, and they disembarked.

"Rumblerrumble..."

Sweeping winds and snow came rushing in.

A bleached valley lay ahead as if forged and stacked from glass.

"Is this where you first carried out the mission beyond the wall?"

Rustbone shifted his head to look at Gu Shen.

He had noticed this young man since then.

The Gu Castle Maze mission, the Investigation Corps took twenty full years to progress, until Gu Shen perfectly resolved it.

"Now, there’s no need to hide anything."

Gu Shen smiled and said, "This is where the Netherworld King left a ’foreshadowing’ back then, dropping an extraordinarily awakened Big Snake here... During that mission, I tamed it and brought it under my command. If [Deep Sea] hadn’t used the Exile Array, I would have escaped riding the snake."

He reached out his palm, gently flicking a wisp of fire.

The Chi Huo swayed forward, burning away the oncoming wind and snow, illuminating a path.

Gu Shen walked in front, with others following, and Rustbone bringing up the rear.

One Origin, two Titled... With this team’s configuration, they could almost roam freely in the first half of the [Old World], but everyone was very cautious.

The truly lethal things in the [Old World] were the Source Material Black Holes formed by chaotic source material.

They had come a long way to get here.

One touch could lead to a "restart," wasting all efforts, and starting over.

Gu Shen did not walk quickly.

Although he had been here once... the maze’s route and the Source Material Black Holes on the way were already well known to him.

Yet this world was full of malice.

What would happen next, no one could predict.

"At the end of the maze, I once saw the figures of my teachers... So I want to bring you here to see if there’s a [Door] here."

Gu Shen stopped walking; at the end of the long snow valley, it suddenly turned dark and ominous.

The steep cliff walls began to tremble.

"Clashclashclash!"

As if a fierce wind swept through—

But this tremor ceased abruptly after Rustbone drew his sword, two strands of bright golden essence shone in the darkness, which were the fierce and rebellious eyes of the golden spike flowers, but upon seeing Rustbone, the malice in their eyes was instantly swept away, and that Destruction Origin, which almost crushed the entire snow valley, stirred a storm tens of times more magnificent than before.

"??? "

The pupils of the Big Snake coiled on the mountain wall suddenly contracted, quickly reacting, retracting its body to escape.

Over the years, it had eaten many North Continent Army explorers who ventured here, with the "slaughter markings" left by the Netherworld King etched in its heart, it would not spare any Transcendent entering this place.

But this time was an accident!

Because the Transcendent in front was too powerful, second only to the Netherworld King!

The golden spike flower reacted at the first moment—

But it was too late!

Rustbone casually swung his sword, a streak of Sword Qi pinned to the mountain wall, sending the golden spike flower flying...

Then Rustbone expanded his domain, the Destruction Origin rapidly contracted, and a towering Bronze Giant erupted from the ground, flexing its body, filling the narrow passage of the maze snow valley. This giant extended its palm, grasping the neck of the golden spike flower, which flailed like an eel, but its strikes on Rustbone’s forearm were painless, only emitting a series of metallic sounds.

Zhou Jiren, Luo Er, and Zhong Wei looked up.

The three had complex expressions on their faces.

The combat power of this Big Snake was not particularly strong... If a battle broke out, either Tian Tong or Sky-reaching Tree could easily slay it with just one strike.
