The Red Dragon, captured and facing the Storm God's intentions, offers a deal. He deduces the Storm God plans to abandon the Five Continents and proposes becoming the second-in-command to ensure his own survival and the Ancient Literature Society's safety. The Storm God, initially dismissive, considers the Red Dragon's request for the Ancient Literature Society's well-being in exchange for his loyalty.

"Delaying the trade with the Ancient Literature Society is not a good choice for me."

The Storm God’s Throne said indifferently, "Why should I agree to you?"

"I can swear by my Soul."

The Red Dragon’s voice was firm.

"If you agree to let the Ancient Literature Society go today... then you won’t need to worry about how to make me pledge allegiance thereafter. I willingly offer my Soul to the Storm Church and sign a Destiny Contract with you. The contents of the contract will be entirely drafted by you."

The Storm God’s Throne narrowed his eyes.

The conditions offered by the Red Dragon were somewhat tempting to him.

His primary goal was to recruit the Red Dragon.

The Red Dragon, at his peak as a super-powerful entity, is a rare resource that cannot be exchanged for any amount of Source Energy Boats, gaining the Red Dragon’s submission willingly.

This deal is worth it!

Moreover... he could take the opportunity to undermine the Central Continent once, at least obtaining part of the expected trade chips.

For the Storm God’s Throne, the deal proposed by the Red Dragon is far better than acquiring two batches of resources!

However, for the Spring Plow Saint, this deal is not favorable, as his main objective in suppressing the Red Dragon was to decisively slaughter the Ancient Literature Society once, quickly eliminating those he dislikes before leaving the Five Continents, even if unable to kill them, at least severely damage them.

The Storm God’s Throne letting go of the Ancient Literature Society not only means Spring Plow’s plan has failed.

It also means.

The Red Dragon will become the second-in-command within the Storm Church; who else is more trustworthy than a Transcendent who has signed a soul contract?

"Have you not received Qinglong’s token during your years of lurking within the Source Tower?"

The Storm God spoke blandly, asking a question of great significance to him.

Given the Red Dragon’s willingness to sign a soul contract with him.

Then...

This signifies that he can nurture the Red Dragon into his mightiest Angel Envoy; given some time, surpassing the Spring Plow Saint poses no issue!

But the prerequisite is that the Red Dragon has not received any other sources of "defilement."

"Have you forgotten my true identity?"

The Red Dragon laughed self-deprecatingly, saying, "I am a spy of the Ancient Literature Society. Do you think... I would accept Qinglong’s token?"

The Source Tower offered him several olive branches.

But the Red Dragon tactfully refused them all.

Even Mr. Tianshui played a role in this, as the Red Dragon’s teacher, Tianshui declined Qinglong’s gift several times under the pretext of "The Red Dragon Envoy is burdened and cannot leave his post."

The Source Tower never lacked Angel Envoys, so these matters were merely mentioned occasionally and eventually dismissed.

"Good, very good."

Upon hearing this, a pleased and joyful smile finally spread across the Storm God’s Throne’s face.

He gently waved his sleeve, releasing the Water Cage imprisoning the Red Dragon.

Of course, this was merely "surface work."

The true Storm God’s Throne stood here; the existence of the tidal cage was irrelevant, as even if the Red Dragon grew ten pairs of wings, escape from the Ice Sea was absolutely impossible.

"I can agree to let go of the Ancient Literature Society."

The Storm God’s Throne looked down at the man before him, speaking softly, "But the prerequisite is that you must sign the soul contract with me now..."

Rumble.

Ocean tides surged and rippled, a blue glowing light scattered and emerged before the Red Dragon.

That was the Destiny Contract condensed by the Storm God’s Throne’s Power of Fire.

"I give you ten minutes to consider."

"Sign the contract or give it up."
