The Mi family head tested a divine weapon and inserted it into the platform. Other family heads followed suit. Zhou Shu then revealed that he could forge connate divine weapons and offered to sell them to the nine families, with the highest bidder winning.

“You…” The Peng family head’s face flushed with anger.

When compared to the Mi family’s immense wealth, the Peng family truly lacked the confidence to contend.

Observing their escalating argument, Zhou Shu felt a surge of delight, yet he maintained a calm smile. “Family Heads, I urge you to pacify yourselves. It is my oversight for not articulating my intentions clearly.

“I have already achieved mastery in the art of forging Innate Divine weapons. Henceforth, our Zhu Rong Heavenly Kingdom shall no longer suffer from a deficit of Innate Divine weapons.”

Zhou Shu declared with unwavering confidence, “I am not one to shy away from admitting shortcomings. The reason I have only forged a handful thus far is due to a scarcity of forging materials. My Zhu Rong clan is unfortunately impoverished.”

Zhou Shu exhaled a long, drawn-out sigh. “One cannot conjure bricks without straw. Even with my mastery of the forging art, its application is rendered impossible without the requisite materials.

“Should an abundance of forging materials be supplied, I possess the capability to forge Innate Divine weapons to your utmost desire.

“Therefore, there is no necessitate for anxiety. These few Innate Divine weapons I have presented are merely for the purpose of demonstrating my proficiency. Even if you are unable to procure any on this occasion, should you require Innate Divine weapons in the future, you merely need to provide the forging materials, and I shall gladly undertake their creation for you.”

“Patriarch Zhu, you wouldn’t be so magnanimous as to assist us without recompense, would you?” the Peng family head inquired, his demeanor showing a slight easing.

“Patriarch Peng, you jest. Naturally, I must ensure some profitability from such endeavors. After all, my Zhu Rong clan requires sustenance,” Zhou Shu responded with a smile.

His straightforwardness provided a measure of relief to the assembled family heads.

“My Mi family shall place an order for one hundred Innate Divine weapons forthwith!” the Mi family head declared with generosity. “Inform me of the quantity of forging materials required.

I shall dispatch someone to deliver them to the Zhu Rong clan without delay!”

Zhou Shu regarded the Mi family head with admiration, inwardly giving him a salute. This Mi family head is truly impressive.

Without any prompting from Zhou Shu, he had proactively stepped forward.

Zhou Shu cast a sideways glance at Mu Zhixing. Is there truly a need for a shill? Is not the Mi family head a far more effective one?

“Certainly, there shall be no issue.” Zhou Shu smiled and nodded his assent. “For one hundred Innate Divine weapons, Patriarch Mi, you need only specify your requirements, and then await the collection of these divine weapons.

“However, I must preface this by stating that one hundred Innate Divine weapons represent a substantial quantity. The forging materials entailed will be considerable.

Moreover, the undertaking of forging one hundred Innate Divine weapons will necessitate several years to complete.”

“Such matters are of no consequence,” the Mi family head replied casually. The Mi family, after all, was not afflicted by any shortage of wealth.

As for the temporal aspect, a few years represented a negligible duration for a family lineage stretching back tens of thousands of years.

“Patriarch Zhu, can you provide assurance that the Innate Divine weapons you forge will possess the same caliber as these displayed artifacts?” a family head posed the question.

“Undoubtedly, they shall be of this very quality,” Zhou Shu affirmed with conviction.

“Very well, provided the Innate Divine weapons are of equivalent quality, my Cao family hereby places an order for one hundred!” the Cao family head proclaimed.

“Even the Cao family head desires one hundred?” Zhou Shu expressed mild surprise. “Patriarch Cao, I must first procure the necessary forging materials.”

“While my Cao family may not rival the Mi family in terms of sheer wealth, we are nonetheless capable of furnishing the forging materials requisite for one hundred Innate Divine weapons.

“Our Cao family boasts one hundred Grand Elders, and regrettably, a considerable number of them are presently unequipped with an Innate Divine weapon. This deficiency is a testament to my inadequacy as family head. Now that this opportunity has presented itself, even at the cost of financial ruin, I am resolved to ensure every elder in my Cao family possesses an Innate Divine weapon!”

As the Cao family head elaborated, his bicep involuntarily tensed, revealing his physique.

To attain the rank of Grand Elder, one must at minimum be an expert within the Nomological realm. One hundred such experts undoubtedly constituted a formidable contingent within the Zhu Rong Heavenly Kingdom.

While the Cao family might not match the Mi family in opulence, their actual strength potentially surpassed that of the Mi family!

Zhou Shu found the subtle and overt rivalries among these family heads to be quite engaging.

However, their competition did not instill fear in him; rather, he dreaded their potential lack of it.

The fiercer their rivalry, the greater his own prosperity.

“Excellent, Patriarch Cao, one hundred it shall be!” Zhou Shu declared with a resonant voice. “Upon the completion of forging the hundred Innate Divine weapons for the Mi family head, I shall commence their creation for you forthwith.”

A policy of first come, first served?

Upon hearing Zhou Shu’s pronouncement, the remaining family heads could no longer remain passive.

The principle was clear: those who submitted their orders earliest would secure the acquisition of the Innate Divine weapons first.

Consequently, those who obtained the divine weapons sooner would experience an initial enhancement in their familial strength.

Such an augmentation in the family’s power would naturally facilitate its advancement and development.

A temporal disparity of mere years could potentially elevate a family’s standing above its rivals.

“My Peng family desires fifty!” “My Tu family requires eighty!”

“My Yun Family requests seventy!”

Murmurs followed from the leaders of the other families. While they lacked the immense wealth of the Mi family or the audacious spirit of the Cao family, they still placed orders for several dozen connate divine weapons, each contingent on their individual circumstances.

Even the Peng family, who ordered the fewest, still requested fifty connate divine weapons.

Collectively, the eight great families purchased over six hundred connate divine weapons! The sheer volume of forging materials required for such an undertaking represented an astronomical sum, regardless of one's standing.

Yet, for Zhou Shu, this quantity was far from sufficient. It was nowhere near enough.

He had previously forged ten thousand connate divine weapons. A mere six hundred was insignificant in comparison!

Satisfaction was an impossibility under these conditions.

Within the vast expanse of the Zhu Rong Heavenly Kingdom, the forging materials Zhou Shu could acquire would only suffice for six hundred connate divine weapons. How could he possibly be content?

He cast his gaze upon the assembled family heads, a smile gracing his lips.

Upon witnessing that smile, Mu Zhixing felt a chill run down his spine, goosebumps erupting. King Zhou was clearly intent on pressing them further.

“Esteemed guests,” Zhou Shu began, his voice smooth, “I have another divine weapon I wish for you all to behold.”

Before his words had fully departed, Zhou Shu flicked his finger as if drawing a sword. Instantly, a long sword materialized in the air before him. With a swift outward slash, the sword projected a beam of pure energy. Even without conscious exertion, the beam struck the white jade platform.

The formidable and resilient array light, which had protected the platform, was rent asunder as easily as paper by the sword's strike. The white jade platform itself was cleanly bisected. The sword then hovered silently in the air, emanating a palpable, terrifying aura.

“What is this?” The eyes of every family head present narrowed simultaneously.
