After securing Xuan Hu's temporary release from Black Tiger Prison, Ye Zhen, Yun Ben, and Hur Chimei depart. The Black Cloud Great Sage, though outwardly agreeing to Xuan Hu's release, secretly plots to inflict greater suffering upon him. As Ye Zhen considers how to rescue Xuan Hu, he prioritizes visiting Hu Qingtong in Qingqiu at Xuan Hu's request. Hur Chimei insists on accompanying Ye Zhen, promising her assistance in navigating the Taimeng Demon Realm, and they set off on the Cloud Winged Tiger King Kitten, arriving in Qingqiu after a perilous fourteen-day journey.

Qingqiu City is a commercial city, and due to the excellent management and business practices of the Fox Clan, the flow of people in Qingqiu City is several times larger than that of the White Tiger City of the Tiger Clan.

In Ye Zhen’s view, although the prosperity of Qingqiu City does not compare to the state cities of a high-grade state in the Great Zhou Dynasty, it is already similar to the state cities of a mid-grade state.

The fee to enter the city is also extremely cheap, just one Low Grade Spirit Stone per person, which is ten times cheaper compared to White Tiger City’s extortionate ten Low Grade Spirit Stones.

Of course, Ye Zhen does not care about such a small entry fee in the slightest.

But this indicates a problem: the rulers of the Fox Clan, or the managers of Qingqiu City, have considerable vision and foresight.

Given the bustling nature of Qingqiu City, finding someone here is exceedingly troublesome for Ye Zhen.

However, in the previous Divine Soul Telecommunication, Xuan Hu gave Ye Zhen a general direction.

Actually, the place known as Qingqiu is divided into three areas.

One place is where Ye Zhen has just entered—Qingqiu City. The second area is outside the southern gate of Qingqiu City, the vast, boundless Qingqiu Swamp.

Qingqiu Swamp is the place where ordinary Fox Clan members live and thrive, and most Fox Clan members, before Shapeshifting, will find a place there to settle and cultivate.

The vast expanse of Qingqiu Swamp can be described as a paradise for the Fox Clan.

Of course, Qingqiu Swamp is not exclusively inhabited by Fox Clan members; there are countless other kinds of living creatures, such as snakes, birds, insects, and ants.

Essentially, the Fox Clan does not interfere much with the ecology of Qingqiu Swamp, except to deal with those overly powerful demon beasts, allowing real Fox Clan members to be trained!

Every year, countless creatures in Qingqiu Swamp become food for the Fox Clan, and countless Fox Clan members become food for other creatures.

However, if one can grow in cultivation and shapeshift in Qingqiu Swamp, then they can move to Tu Mountain.

Although the Fox Clan is a species passed down from ancient times, their innate Bloodline Power is weak, so compared to other demon races, Shapeshifting for the Fox Clan is quite easy.

Further south of Qingqiu Swamp is an endless hilly area called Tu Mountain by the Fox Clan, and it’s where the elite and core members of the Fox Clan reside and cultivate.

Already shapeshifted Hu Qingtong resides in Qingqiu Tushan.

Qingqiu is vast, stretching eight million miles long and one million miles wide in hilly swamps, but at the speed of Little Cat, even if preserved, it only took a small half-day to reach Tu Mountain.

In contrast to the almost undefended Qingqiu, Tu Mountain still has patrols.

The Fox Clan is adept at management, strategy, and favoring powerful figures, often having strong ones visit or recruit them, so even though Tu Mountain is where the elite live, it is open to outsiders.

Except the highest hill called Qingqiu Palace at Tu Mountain, other places do not restrict outsiders.

But it’s not completely defenseless either.

The Fox Clan still has skilled experts patrolling Tu Mountain, and Ye Zhen and his party were quickly discovered and stopped by the Fox Clan patrol experts upon entering Tu Mountain.

It’s a patrol team led by two Realm King Fox Clan members, consisting of ten Dark Palace Realm Fox Clan members.

But they didn’t block or make things difficult, just asked Ye Zhen and his party for their intentions, registered them, and gave some instructions before leaving.

Before leaving, they kindly pointed the way out to Ye Zhen and even earned a little pocket money from Ye Zhen.

"You are looking for Hu Qingtong, if I’m not mistaken, that woman should live in Xuanjia Hill. Of course, if you can’t find Xuanjia Hill, if you’re willing to give me ten High Grade Spiritual Stones, I can create a simple map for you," said a demon patrol in the Dark Palace Realm.

After Ye Zhen handed over ten High Grade Spiritual Stones, he received a simple map.

Within Tu Mountain, there are numerous hills, and the Fox Clan uses the combination of Sky, Earth, Dark, Yellow, Universe, Cosmos, Flood, and Wilderness, with armor, self, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, tenth to cross-name them.

Essentially, the higher the rank of the hill, the closer it is to the central Qingqiu Palace.

And according to the rules within the Fox Clan, the closer one’s residence is to Qingqiu Palace, the higher their status.

Xuanjia Hill comes only after Sky-level hills and can be considered a core area too.

Just judging from the residence location, it shows Hu Qingtong’s situation within the Fox Clan is at least decent, definitely not as bad as Xuan Hu, which reassures Ye Zhen.

Once acquiring this simple map, Ye Zhen dispelled the idea of using Talisman Communication to contact Hu Qingtong.

Because according to that patrol, there are only over a hundred Fox Clan families living on Xuanjia Hill, and it’s easy to find.

Following the map, skimming over one hill after another, Ye Zhen and the others quickly found the Upper Xuanjia Hill marked on the map.

Upon landing at the foot of Xuanjia Hill, Ye Zhen saw a group of children gathered together playing.

Ye Zhen put away the Talisman Communication he had just taken out, thinking asking these children to lead the way was a very good choice.

Or rather, from the bottom of his heart, Ye Zhen still wanted to give Hu Qingtong a surprise.

"What a great place!"

Green grass sways gently, with birds singing and the fragrance of flowers everywhere, and the Heaven and Earth Primordial Qi is abundant. Even the houses on the distant Xuanjia Hill are made of grass and wood, filled with a primitive, natural flavor.

"Humph, compared to our Tiger Clan’s White Tiger Mountain Range, it falls far short! And there’s no defenses here, no wonder Tu Mountain was burned down completely by a fire before," Tiger Chimei muttered discontentedly.

But Little Cat gritted and growled quietly, making no further comments, obediently following alongside Little Cat, with Ling Qianbi stepping behind Ye Zhen, heading towards that group of playing children.

Ye Zhen’s gaze soon fell upon a girl among them, about eight or nine years old, with a beautiful braid of black hair.

The reason why Ye Zhen paid attention to this girl is mainly because she lacked the residual traits typical of a Fox Clan member after Shapeshifting.

The other dozen or so children either had exceptionally charming fox-like eyes, a tall and prominent nose, or a visible fox tail, all displaying residual traits from the Fox Clan’s shapeshifting.

Only the black-haired girl had no residual traits whatsoever, appearing more like a member of the Human Clan.

It was a peculiar feeling; just one glance at the black-haired girl and Ye Zhen felt an inexplicable fondness.

Choosing a simple hairband from his Mirage Dragon Pearl, which had been stored for who knows how long, as a gift, Ye Zhen walked towards the black-haired girl to ask for directions.

Just as Ye Zhen approached, the group of children playing suddenly erupted into a dispute.

The children were playing a game, and the black-haired girl managed to win, grabbing the spoils of victory.

But before the black-haired girl could rejoice, a tall fox clan boy suddenly pushed her down, snatching the prize away.

However, the black-haired girl was determined not to give up, quickly getting up and ramming into the fox clan boy, reclaiming the prize.

The surrounding children burst into laughter.

This time, the fox clan boy refused to back down!

"Damn it, you little wildling picked up from who knows where, how dare you hit me!"

Shouting angrily, the fox clan boy swung a fist at the black-haired girl, clearly enraged.

Watching this, Ye Zhen initially laughed in amusement; children’s skirmishes were quite interesting, although the fox clan boy seemed rather petty.

However, as the fox clan boy insulted the black-haired girl as a wildling, Ye Zhen frowned.

Nevertheless, a children’s play fight was nothing Ye Zhen could intervene in; he could only watch.

To Ye Zhen’s surprise, the black-haired girl was exceptionally clever.

As the fox clan boy swung his fist, the black-haired girl dodged and skillfully grasped his wrist, flipping him face-first into the dirt.

The surrounding children burst into laughter once more.

"Damn it!"

The fox clan boy was thoroughly enraged. "Chi Ling’er, you little wildling, kneel and apologize to me now, or you’ll pay for this!"

The girl’s face named Chi Ling’er suddenly turned pale, "You’re lying! I’m not a wildling; I have a dad!"

"Then tell me, what’s your dad’s name?"

"My mom said she’ll tell me when I grow up!"

"Still a wildling!" The red-haired fox clan boy laughed, "My mom said even your mom doesn’t know who your dad is! Heaven knows how many men that slut has been with!"

"You—!"

Enraged, the black-haired girl lunged forward, swinging the prize she had just reclaimed, a tri-colored stone, and smashed it into the red-haired fox clan boy’s face.

"You’re lying!"

Bang!

Quick and fierce, the blow struck the red-haired fox clan boy, sending him reeling with a bloodied face.

The red-haired fox clan boy screamed in pain, wiping his face, smearing blood across his palm.

Upon seeing the blood.

The red-haired fox clan boy’s eyes turned crimson.

"You bastard born of a whore, dare to hurt me! I’ll tear you apart today!"

With a furious roar, the fox clan boy lunged forward once more.

Bang!

The black-haired girl deftly dodged, swinging the tri-colored stone again, striking the red-haired fox clan boy’s back.

"Every time you insult my mom, I’ll hit you once!" The black-haired girl’s voice was icy.

The red-haired fox clan boy roared, lunging again, "I did insult her, whore, whore!"

With every insult, the black-haired girl dodged nimbly, always avoiding the red-haired fox clan boy’s attacks, striking him lighter or heavier each time, until his face was a bloody mess.

As for the other children, they were already stunned, retreating to the side.

After seven or eight rounds, the red-haired fox clan boy’s words grew increasingly vile, his eyes bloodshot.

Suddenly, the red-haired boy roared skyward, his figure flickering as he transformed into a massive red fox, over a meter long and half a meter tall.

"Chi Ling’er, you wildling, I’ll tear you apart!"

With a fierce roar, the red-haired boy, now a red fox, suddenly lunged at the black-haired girl with claws flashing coldly at triple the speed.

Seeing a playmate suddenly transform into a ferocious demon beast, the clever black-haired girl was stunned!
