King of Creation Chapter 1739 - 1724: Another War Spirit?
Previously on King of Creation...
Within the crimson expanse of the Demon Soul Realm, the Great Saint of the Tempest, Fengg Kui, found his agitation escalating as he traversed the skies.
His pursuit had led him to dispatch three iterations of 'Ye Zhen', only to discover each was a mere illusion.
This perplexing turn of events left Fengg Kui utterly bewildered.
The fruitless endeavor of shattering these phantom duplicates of Ye Zhen had compelled him to traverse a staggering distance of over five million miles, back and forth.
Such a vast expanse, even for his considerable speed, necessitated a sustained period of high-velocity flight, exceeding fifteen minutes.
And therein lay the central enigma: considering the swiftness of his Green Winged Wind Kite, empowered by the Bloodline of Strong Wind, even he required that much time.
How, then, did Ye Zhen manage to disseminate his illusory forms across such varied points within this blood-red firmament?
His confusion mounting, Fengg Kui fully materialized his True Body, momentarily suspended his Protective Spirit Force, and drew a deep inhalation of air.
A cursory assessment revealed the air to be unremarkable.
Subsequently, Fengg Kui descended rapidly, assuming human form, and unleashed a rapid barrage of strikes. Every element encountered – stones, blood-hued branches, the sparse grass, and fallen leaves – proved to be tangible.
A taste of bitterness mingled with a faint, residual juice was detected upon sampling them.
Even the soil registered as genuine, possessing a distinct, eerie ruddy aroma!
A colossal Wind Blade then carved a path through the air, instantly gouging a crater a thousand meters deep into the earth. Following this, Fengg Kui’s Divine Sense swept over the chasm like a tempestuous force.
He then proceeded to re-examine the excavated soil, taking several deliberate sniffs.
"It's tangible!"
"This is no mere illusory realm, nor some pocket dimension, but a genuinely existing Little World!" he exclaimed to himself, a flicker of undeniable delight igniting in his eyes.
Drawing upon the available evidence, a tentative hypothesis began to form in his mind.
Ye Zhen's ability to project illusory bodies capable of instantaneous displacement across millions of miles might stem from his adeptness in manipulating the Space Law inherent to this particular Little World.
However, if Ye Zhen genuinely commanded the Space Law of this blood-red Little World, he would undoubtedly wield the manifested Power of Laws to impose severe restrictions, or perhaps even annihilate, Fengg Kui.
It was abundantly clear that Ye Zhen lacked such formidable power.
Therefore, the logical deduction became inescapable.
As the old adage suggests, "a person's legacy endures beyond their physical form." It is contemplated that certain formidable entities from antiquity, upon nearing the end of their existence, sought to bequeath something enduring.
What possesses the potential for eternal permanence might not be found in martial prowess or the dominion over a nation, but rather in the creation of a Little World.
Unless subjected to cataclysmic heavenly tribulations or titanic conflicts between primeval Creation Gods, such Little Worlds, meticulously sculpted by ancient sages, would remain impervious to destruction.
Some ancient powers even went so far as to forge specific artifacts, such as Formation Plate Cores or key-like implements, to facilitate the inheritance and control of their respective Little Worlds.
These artifacts conferred upon their possessors a profound mastery over the Little World, granting them authority akin to that of the world's creator or proprietor.
Fengg Kui surmised that Ye Zhen’s current capacity to traverse millions of miles within this blood-red Little World was likely attributable to his possession of such a treasure.
Nevertheless, his demonstrated control appeared tenuous; otherwise, he would have engaged in direct confrontation rather than mere evasion!
In a fleeting moment, the intensity of Great Saint Fengg Kui's gaze shifted, transforming from eager anticipation to unbridled ecstasy!
"Hahahahaha, it appears this arduous journey has yielded an extraordinary reward!"
"My initial intention was merely to fulfill my obligation to Tup Menn, that cunning old fox, but unexpectedly, I have stumbled upon such a remarkable Little World.
This encounter represents a monumental gain for me!
My ambition of attaining the Late Dao Realm may very well be realized within the confines of this crimson Little World!"
In the ensuing instant, Fengg Kui emitted a piercing whistle, ascending rapidly towards the heavens.
From this juncture forward, his predetermined objective underwent a radical transformation.
Previously, the sole aim was the elimination of Ye Zhen as a means of settling a debt of gratitude.
Now, however, the objective had morphed into the absolute necessity of eradicating Ye Zhen, by any means necessary, to claim ownership of this extraordinary blood-red Little World!
Simultaneously, within the hallowed confines of the Demon Soul Hall, Ye Zhen was observed donning the ceremonial garb of the Left Chief Priest of the Barbarian Spirit Hall. At the heart of the hall, a modest altar, approximately ten meters in diameter, had already been erected.
A single drop of Spirit Blood detached itself from Ye Zhen’s fingertip and, guided by his index finger, arced towards the altar's center. Concurrently, Ye Zhen’s hands moved with incredible speed, executing a sequence of intricate and profound Hand Seals.
Each Hand Seal conjured emanated a cascade of Spirit Light, bathing the small altar in an increasingly radiant glow.
Within mere moments, the altar’s luminescence intensified dramatically, yet no discernible aura fluctuation emanated from it.
"Could this phenomenon be a consequence of planar separation, or is my summoning capability here insufficient?" he pondered.
His perplexity evident, Ye Zhen casually procured a vial containing the Essence Blood of a Five-Clawed True Dragon and poured its potent contents onto the small altar.
The central Spirit Pillar of the altar ignited with a vibrant, blood-red hue, erupting in a dazzling display of brilliance, and a palpable surge of power began to radiate outward from the Spirit Pillar.
Ye Zhen's brow knitted at this development. Normally, a mere drop of Spirit Blood combined with the Inherited Divine Messenger's Secret Technique would swiftly call forth the Divine Archer Yiz Lie.
However, the current situation was far from normal. Not only did it necessitate a vial of Essence Blood from a potent Five-clawed True Dragon, but even after nearly a hundred breaths had passed, the War Spirit had yet to materialize.
Just as Ye Zhen pondered this anomaly, the Spirit Pillar at the heart of the small altar quivered. A somewhat strained apparition rose from within, gradually taking a discernible form.
It was, indeed, the Divine Archer Yiz Lie.
At virtually the same instant, on the distant Primordial Continent, within the city of Luoyi and the Ancestor God Temple, Princess Changle, the Spirit Hall Master of the Barbarian Spirit Hall, was occupied with her duties in the main hall. Suddenly, her brow furrowed, and she found herself involuntarily glancing towards the direction of the Holy Spirit Peak, nestled deep within the Spirit Hall's domain.
A disturbance in the aura of the War Spirit housed within the Holy Spirit Peak had just occurred; its potent energy had diminished by over ninety percent.
Such a drastic loss typically signified that the War Spirit had been summoned by an Inherited Divine Messenger.
Within the Barbarian Spirit Hall at present, apart from herself, the Inherited Deputy Envoy, the only other individual capable of summoning a War Spirit was the Inherited Divine Messenger, Ye Zhen.
"Could it be that Brother Ye has run into some sort of trouble?" Princess Changle murmured, her brow still deeply furrowed.
"Divine Envoy Ye, where precisely have I arrived? I intended to reach this location, but why was the process so arduous, and the initial blood guidance so faint it was barely discernible?" the Divine Archer Yiz Lie inquired directly.
"This is another Little World!"
"Ah, I see. That certainly explains the immense effort involved! I do wonder what significant matter has required Ye Zhen to summon me this time."
The words spoken by the Divine Archer Yiz Lie served to instantly dissolve Ye Zhen's confusion.
It became clear why the summoning had been so sluggish and why it had consumed such a considerable quantity of Essence Blood; the cause was the separation between realms.
Abruptly, Ye Zhen straightened, a nascent sense of foreboding stirring within his heart.
He promptly questioned, "General Yiz Lie, what is the extent of your remaining combat strength after manifesting here?"
Yiz Lie's expression shifted to one of mild resignation. "Here, not only is there a separation of realms, but the Primordial Continent is also extraordinarily distant. Consequently, my power is severely restricted at this moment, barely able to exert four-tenths of my usual might!"
"Only four-tenths?"
Ye Zhen's countenance grew severe. Under typical circumstances, as the Inherited Divine Messenger utilizing the simple altar, he could enable the summoned War Spirit to unleash over six-tenths of its full combat potential.
Yet, the current reality far exceeded Ye Zhen's expectations.
"At most four-tenths! However, that should be sufficient to pose a threat to beings at the Early Dao Realm!" Divine Archer Yiz Lie added, causing Ye Zhen's expression to darken further.
"Is something amiss?" With perceptive intuition, Divine Archer Yiz Lie also sensed that something was not quite right.
Ye Zhen swiftly recounted the unfolding situation to Divine Archer Yiz Lie, prompting the latter to fall silent, his brow furrowed in deep thought for nearly a hundred breaths before he finally spoke.
"As the Inherited Divine Messenger, my primary duty is your absolute protection. However, given the immense distance and the dimensional separation, our projected power is unfortunately too diminished.
We will have to rely on leveraging greater numbers," Yiz Lie stated.
"Numbers?"
"Precisely. As I mentioned previously, with a portion of Creation Spirit Blood, another War Spirit residing within the Holy Spirit Peak will be able to recover from its injuries and regain its combat capabilities.
Although half a year has elapsed, it has largely recuperated and is now deemed battle-ready!" Yiz Lie confirmed.
A flicker of delight crossed Ye Zhen's features upon hearing this news. "Another War Spirit is prepared for deployment? I am curious as to its specific nature."
"Employ the Secret Technique to manifest it, and you shall discover its identity!" Yiz Lie responded, a hint of impatience coloring his tone.
